“Helena made us feel at ease on our vacation. Our dog seemed relaxed and happy when we returned. And, we appreciated the daily pictures and updates Helena gave us. Great dog sitter!”

“What pet doesn't want his own Fan Club! When I spoke to Kevin about pet sitting, his genuine personality and overall love for animals gave me confidence. He made sure our puggle was walked, fed, had plenty of belly rubs and activity. Kevin communicated after each visit, sent pictures and updates. Our dog was tail-wagging happy when we returned from the weekend, and so were we!”

“Everything went smoothly with Jennifer watching my little kitties over the weekend. She provided us with great pics and detailed visitation logs and her communication was great!”

“Kathy makes dreams come true! I have been able to travel on and off for three years now with peace of mind knowing that my cat is well cared for when I am gone. Kathy is an animal lover and gives kindness to animals in her care.”

“Tim is terrific! He is the only person that can enter our home and Bridger is calm and thrilled to see him. He has been flexible which has been a great relief as we had some challenges to our schedule recently. Highly recommend.”

“It was our first time leaving, Daphne, our cat alone for a weekend and we were apprehensive in leaving her with a sitter. Patricia took the time to come to our house and meet Daphne. When it came time to leave for our trip Patricia made sure to send us a whole bunch of pictures of her and Daphne playing and having a good time. Patricia made our first experience using Rover effortless and made us feel comfortable while we enjoyed our weekend. We will be sure to check if Patricia is available next time we book a trip.”
“I’m so grateful for Julia helping us out! She was very responsive and sent picture updates after each visit. I have already recommended her to multiple people. Thank you Julia!!”

“Ben was simply amazing with Brutus. He went beyond what the asked to make Brutus more comfortable while we were gone. I would recommend Ben to anyone and will use him again.”

About: All of my friend’s pets love me! It’s easy for me to match their energy and help them forget that their favorite people aren’t home, you! I currently work full time but my schedule allows for me to stop by the house twice a day. I start work at 11am in the city, so depending where you live, I usually leave for my commute around 10am. My day ends at 7pm, then I head right to your pets from there. I never leave without playtime, unless they are really shy but I’m persistent. If my schedule works for you I would love to keep your pets company. I have a baseball field down the street from me that your pets can run wild in. During the week there’s no one there in the morning and it’s fenced in. Your cat will have plenty of toys and areas to roam free in my house.
“Cece is very sweet. She followed all of my directions and took care of our kittens while we were briefly out of town. She also managed to impress our one kitten who is apprehensive of strangers. She sent pictures which we greatly appreciated. Thank you again!”

“Helena did a great job taking care of our two cats for a week. She came at the agreed-upon time each day, gave them lots of love, pets, and playtime, and sent us pictures that helped us not miss them quite as much; although that’s hard, of course! We felt very comfortable knowing they were in good hands. Highly recommend!”

About: I worked at a veterinary clinic for 12 years, and have had cats my whole life. I currently have 3 happy cats. I help out at a local cattery with socializing, cleaning, feeding, etc. I love connecting with animals! They have so much love to offer. I am free most days, generally mornings and later afternoons into evenings. I am busy certain days during the week from about 11 am to 3 pm. I can do drop-ins at a client's home, i.e. dog walking, feeding, socializing etc. I have the flexibility to do this every day. I will send pics too. I can also provide transport services!
About: In addition to taking care of my family dogs for the past 20 years, I also have experience walking dogs at Saved Me Adoption Center and pet sitting for friends and family members. I currently have a flexible schedule so I am around for pet care during weekdays, in the evenings, and on weekends! I enjoy a daily walk so a pet to join me is a treat! I hope to make pets as comfortable as possible in their homes! I pay close attention to their routines, favorite places to be, and any worries that arise.
About: I love animals and animals have been apart of my life since the day I was born. I am very trusting and loving person. I have been dog sitting and walking for a couple years now. I have dogs of my own so I’m always taking care of them and walking them everyday, even going on hikes. I have always taken care of animals my whole life. I have a big backyard so I’m always trying to run them. Every summer we always go on hikes with them as well. They love it.

Olga did an amazing job with our kitties while we were on vacation! We came back to the litter boxes spotless and two happy and healthy furry friends. There was even a minor logistical issue that came up during her time here that Olga quickly found a solution for on her own and dealt with so we didn't have to worry a bit. I will definitely book Olga next time we're out of town!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
