She is very much a cat person, my Athena warmed up to her IMMEDIATELY - she sent good updates and lots of photos which helped me feel less anxious being away from my baby, knowing she was being so well cared for and had a good companion to look after her. Athena takes supplements and medications, and she did a great job with that also. She had good attention to detail on the administering and taking careful notes during our meet and greet as well. About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was eight years old, starting with neighborhood and family pets. What began as “dog watch” while neighbors were away quickly turned into a true love for pet care. Families trusted me to supervise playtime, keep their dogs safe, and make sure they felt comfortable and happy while away from home. I’ve had dogs of my own since I was eleven, including an energetic Australian Shepherd, an English Cream Golden Retriever, and a Red Labrador Retriever. Through them, I’ve gained firsthand experience with high-energy, playful breeds as well as more relaxed personalities. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and activity levels whether they need long walks and stimulation or calm companionship. As an animal lover, caring for pets has always been second nature to me. I want to make sure your pet doesn't feel like they're being walked by a stranger, but by a friend. I'm currently studying business at Pace University in Lower Manhattan. I'm fully available Friday through Monday for walks or in-house care. I'm available in the afternoons from 3:15-5PM Tuesday-Thursday. Since I'm entering your home and your dog's space I want to keep the routine they have as best I can. I carefully follow all feeding schedules, portion instructions, and preferred walk times. I make sure your pet gets plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention. I’m very respectful of your home and treat it like I would want mine to be treated. I keep food and water areas clean, wipe paws after walks if needed, and make sure everything is secure before leaving. I can also send regular updates and photos so you feel comfortable knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. Most importantly, I don't want your pet to feel like they are with a stranger, but with someone they trust!

About: I’ve been around dogs since I can remember. My first dog was a German Shepherd when I was 4, 12, and 16. My friends and family have exposed me to a wide variety of dogs. I am always the first in the room to attract a dog and the last to leave its side. Small or big, I know how to leave your dog with a new human friend, happy and tired. I'm more than comfortable checking in and house-sitting with all types of dogs whether it’s a couch companion or a playful friend. I know with my German Shepherd it's always go, go, go so when he sits and naps it's a break for me too. I'm comfortable walking dogs that are leash-trained and dog friendly of all sizes. I just graduated college so I’m spending some time at home for the summer meaning I’m pretty much free whenever outside of committed plans. I’m pretty flexible so feel free to message me to figure a time and day out! I know it's difficult to open your home to a stranger, so I'm more than willing to meet or talk on the phone before you trust me with your pet! To ensure the safety of your dog, I need to know of any behavioral or medical issues. Depending on the issue, we can decide if I'm the best match for you and your dog. I know the basic do and donts, red flags, and really good at communication. I’m always patient, loving, and responsible! I understand there may be specific needs, wants, and asks so I’m all ears.
