“Rebecca was very communicative about my pup’s stay. She sent pictures and updates. It was clear my dog had a nice time and was well cared for. My dog is a little slow to warm up and anxious but she settled in well and enjoyed playing with the other dogs. My dog came home happy and healthy.”

“We are so grateful to have found Paul & Megan! From the meet & greet to Lilly's extensive 11 night stay, it was evident that Paul & Megan have a genuine care for dogs and treat them with love and individualized attention. The daily pictures and updates of Lilly's activites always brought a smile to our face and were reassuring that she was happy, safe and comfortable. We would highly recommend Paul & Megan and will definitely be using them whenever we need a sitter for Lilly.”

“Lindsay was amazing. Our dog had a great time with Lindsay, her family and her dog Tilly, who happened to match our dog's size and energy level perfectly. Lindsay sent us multiple photos during our dog's stay. We could not recommend her more highly!”

“Jennifer and her family were so wonderful. They provided a lovely and safe home for Walter while we were on vacation. Her dog Molly even taught our dog good manners. Highly recommended!!!”

“Phydeau stayed for two nights. He’s old and had much medical care involved in his stay including pills and ear care which was all attended to so well. He came home happy and well cared for. He loves going to Michael’s!”
“I highly recommend Jodi. This was our first time leaving our puppy overnight. Jodi took such great care of Reese. She sent us multiple pictures and videos of her every day. Reese had so much fun playing with the other dogs in Jodi’s care. Overall a great experience!”

“Thank you, Natasha & Jonathan!!! Willow had the best time and made many new friends. We were so nervous leaving him with anyone other than family for 5 days but you gave us peace of mind with constant communication and he clearly had a great time. He will be back!”

“Quiana is AMAZING!!!!!!! She was phenomenal with all three dogs and asked such great, breed-specific questions during our Meet and Greet. She also did a wonderful job accommodating medication and odd feeding requests, and helped give us peace of mind with regular updates on each. What a fantastic sitter!! Cannot praise her enough.”

“Our minidoodle Sam had a great stay with Charlotte and Jordan, and their dog Kyber. Two things we especially like: They generally just take one dog at a time (more attention, and Sam loves attention!), and they live near some great walking trails. Very nice people.”

“David was amazing and my Mille had a wonderful time while I was away. He updated with photos and videos and let us know how she was doing, him and his family is great and if we ever need a sitter again, we will make sure to call David 😊”

“Ana Maria was great with my puppy. She was very caring and understanding of my puppy separation anxiety, and also she was flexible with my last minute schedule change. She was truly a blessing during our trip to MA and I am looking forward to come back to MA to visit my daughter and booking with Ana Maria again. 😊”

“Freddi and her boyfriend are such caring dog sitters. It’s obvious that they loves the dogs a lot, often taking them on long walks to tire them out and having them play. They are very attentive and patient, often updating me about the dogs and even offering suggestions on changing their food intake after doing some research. Our dogs were very happy and healthy when we went to pick them up, and even kind of sad to leave. It’s clear that they had a great time at Freddi’s by their smiles and tail wags. I would highly recommend this family if you’re going away for vacation—they are patient, kind, and very caring! 10/10 experience.”

“Xinyue and Weihai were most accommodating and responsive during a last minute stay. Indy had a great time and I felt most assured of his care while I was away. Highly recommend!”

“We sent our little Skaii to board with Jennifer and her family for the 4th, they were so lovely and caring. She sent adorable photos of her to us as well, overall loved how she took care of our little chihuahua and would definitely rebook with her again! ❤️”

“Rita and her fur-fam gave my boy the most wonderful vacation. She is not paid what she is worth - she knows dogs at an expert level, she loves them, her place is set up perfectly for a dog vacation. I was a nervous new mom to leave my dog, but Rita and her two sweet dogs gave my Donut the best experience, opening his personality in wonderful ways and putting me at peace. Thank you for the tlc and ease, and your time, Rita.”

“10/10! When I drop off my pup with Valeri, I know he will be happy. He's become best friend with Valeri's dog, Lexi, and as soon as we pull up to her house he is excited to play. Valeri is great about updating me, both in terms of sending cute photos as well as letting me know about any behavioral changes she picks up on. I deeply appreciate this care and attention to detail!”

“We used Sam to board our dog Mia for the first time recently, and she was absolutely amazing! We just adopted Mia two months ago (she’s a rescue from the south), so we were super nervous about leaving her for a week. At the dog hotel we used to use for our other pup, they literally charged us $4 per photo and we constantly had to beg them for updates. Sam was the exact opposite. Right from the meet-and-greet, she was so attentive and asked tons of questions to make sure she knew exactly how to give Mia the best care. While we were gone, she sent so many updates and pictures without us even having to ask, which gave us total peace of mind. She even handled Mia's allergy medication which was another concern of ours. Plus, her dog Poppy is the absolute cutest and friendliest pup ever! If want someone who will actually give you pup personal, hands-on love and attention, you need to book Sam.”

Cat caregivers near you - Hathorne
Prices are estimates per visit for 1 cat. Pricing may vary based on your search and includes a booking fee of 11%.

About: My family has owned cats since I was born, and I currently have three kitties who I feed and clean litter boxes. Over the years I've experienced them being finicky eaters, rambunctious, timid, agitated, as well as giving them medicine.

“Vanessa was lovely! Very communicative and friendly. This is our first time having someone stay at the house instead of dropins and I'm very glad we found her for a longer trip we have coming up. The house is as we left it and our cat is in good spirits. Thank you again!”

“We used Lauren during the end of year holidays to look after our two cats. She did a wonderful job (even coming over on Christmas Day!). This is the second time I’ve used Lauren and she is reliable, responsive, and does an overall great job. She sends pictures and notes each day so I can see the kitties while I’m gone.”

“Anna was great—conscientious, responsible, and kind. I'm new in town and was so relieved to find someone I felt comfortable with coming into my home. The sweet photos and messages showed me that my cat was happy, cared for, and had some good playtime!”

“Thanks for taking care of the pets. They had an amazing time with Rylee. We had a little bit of hiccup with ant getting into food situation as well as automatic food bowl breaking in the middle of the trip but Rylee was very kind to get us ant traps and clean the food up for the cats. Lots of great communication and amazing pictures. The pets were in a great hands.”

“Julia was great! She sent the best pics of my kitty while I was away and he seemed to really enjoy her company during the drop-ins. No issues what so ever and will definitely be using her again!”

“Leslie is the most thorough petsitter I have ever worked with! Her attention to detail and daily updates provide peace of mind while traveling and I am so thankful to have found her.”

About: I have experience caring for cats through various house-sitting jobs, as well as growing up with a couple of my own. I really enjoy their personalities—they’re independent, a little sassy, and tend to do their own thing, but still appreciate attention on their terms. I’m comfortable with feeding, litter box care, playtime, and making sure they feel safe and relaxed while you’re away.
“Candi is a great sitter! We’ve booked her several times to come by and feed our kitty. She’s reliable, communicative, and a pleasure to work with. She’s our go to person. Thank you Candi!”

“Jodi is great with my dog Mia. Did a check in visit this evening to take her out and feed her dinner. Jodi trays Mia like her own pet and gives updated throughout the visit!”

“Sarah was great! It was the first time I’ve left my kitty Maples for more than one night and I felt super comfortable knowing Sarah was coming every day. She came exactly as we agreed on, I got a notification every time she came, and pictures too! I will definitely use Sara in the future!”

“Michael took excellent care of our kitties as always! It gives us peace of mind knowing that we can rely on someone we trust to call on when going out of town and need pet care! We highly recommend Michael!”

About: I’ve adopted cats from all ages from kittens to seniors, and I’ve loved every one of them. Since cats can sometimes be more cautious and less trusting than dogs, I always take the time to help them feel comfortable and safe around me so we can build a respectful bond. Having cared for cats with all kinds of personalities, I’m very attentive to their behavioral cues and make sure to honor their boundaries and needs. Cats are truly one of my favorite animals, and I’d love the opportunity to care for yours!

“First time with Jodi and we absolutely loved her. Our little pup had the best time, and was well cared for. We enjoyed receiving pictures and videos of her day and know we can trust her for future visits. Thank you Jodi!”

“This was my first time on Rover and my yellow lab Gus had a great time with Rebeca and her family! She provided photo updates and was very friendly. They live on a nice neighborhood and have a great home for dogs to feel at home and play!! Thank you again. We will definitely be booking again with Rebeca”

“Mirellys took wonderful care of Rosa and went above and beyond to make sure Rosa was comfortable during her stay. Mirellys also kept me updated throughout the day with photos and videos, which I really appreciated. I'd definitely use her again in the future.”

“Diaralyz and her family took such good care of our puppy! He got to interact and socialize properly and the best part was receiving pictures and videos of him playing and living his best life. We highly recommend Diaralyz and we will be coming again with our little dog.”

“Natali took such great care of our 11 month old puppy during his first overnight stay away from home. She was patient, communicative, and kept us updated throughout the stay, which gave us so much peace of mind. Even though he was a little nervous from being in a new environment, she was incredibly understanding and attentive to his needs. We could tell he was well cared for and had a great time with Natali and Rocko. We’d absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!”

About: I have always had cats & dogs and cared for them growing up. I have a beautiful goldendoodle named Mugsy and a pretty kitty named Willow, I consider them part of my family. I currently work remotely, so I have plenty of time to care for your pups and kitties. Your babies are in good hands with me, I send alot of pics and updates while your pet is with me and will treat them as if they were my very own 💙 I have a big yard and a huge deck. I also live right up the street from some of the Ipswich River trails, also Danvers dog park is just a couple minutes away. I am also flexible to do drop ins, walks and sittings. I have a full size crate if needed as well. I will not take on a job that I can't provide 100% to!

“Jade watched my two pups with very different needs (one is small, 15 years old; the other is 1.5 yo husky mix) for the day as we were going through town on a road trip. We needed somewhere for the pups to be while we did a non-dog friendly day. Jade was super responsive and accommodating. The dogs happily walked off with her without any hesitation (I trust them to read the situation). She asked good questions about their care, entertained the pup during the day by introducing her to a doggy walking pad inside since it was extremely hot out. She also quickly and easily accommodated an earlier pick up when we finished up early. While we aren’t local to use her again, I would do it if the need arises. Much better than a kennel! Pups were happy when we picked up.”

“Ana took such wonderful care of my dog for the past two full days, even with a last-minute reservation. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my dog was in such good hands. She made sure she got plenty of walks and lots of attention. I’m so grateful and would absolutely book with her again!”

About: I had a dog in my household throughout childhood, and after moving out on my own I got my very own sweet pup! I have extensive experience caring for dogs of all ages, from puppy to senior. I am very patient with dogs and understand that each one is unique! I would treat your dog just like my own (and she's VERY loved and spoiled!!) I work full-time remote, so I am at home all day, every day! This gives me the flexibility to care for your dog and give them plenty of attention throughout the day. I take my own dog on numerous walks throughout the day and take additional work breaks for some play time. :) I am easily adaptable and can care for your dog however is needed. I am happy to take them for long walks, or cuddle on the couch, amor romp around and play. I am also comfortable crating dogs as needed and can keep them on a consistent feeding schedule if you have one. (My own dog is on a feeding schedule and I know how important routine can be for them!)
“Rebekka and Thomas have watched my cat twice and dog once. My first experience with her was when my boyfriend and I went on a two week road trip with our dog (Mia), but we didn't want the hassle of bringing a litter box from place to place. It was our first time leaving my cat (Alfie) with someone other than family. Alfie had a blast at their place. Rebekka kept us up to date on his activities with pictures every other day. He spent time with them in the yard and they even took him for walks! Alfie isn't the nicest (he tends to scratch and bite sometimes) but Rebekka rolled with all of his strange behaviors. My second experience with her was just as wonderful. Both Alfie and Mia spent the day with her for "doggy" day care. My boyfriend and I decided to take a day trip to Mackinac City to see some friends who came in from out of state and it was a little late notice (about 2 days notice). Rebekka and Thomas were very accommodating to our early drop off time (6:30 am) and late pick up time (10:30 pm). Mia has severe anxiety around new people so we were worried about how she would react, which is why we brought Alfie as well. They were very kind with the prices, one animal for their regular price and the other animal for only 5 dollars. Mia did considerably better with them than I anticipated. We brought her crate so she would have a safe space and Thomas told me she spent most of the time on their bed with Alfie. She would only go in her crate if he came too close. Considering the last time she spent a doggy day care with someone else on Rover and she didn't come out of her crate once, I would say this is a great improvement and that she feels comfortable around Rebekka and Thomas. I would recommend anyone and everyone to have their fur-babies watched by Rebekka and Thomas.”

About: I’ve been dog sitting for quite a while and have cared for many different kinds of dogs with a wide range of needs. I have experience caring for senior dogs, including safely distributing and administering different types of medications as part of their daily routines. I’m also working toward becoming a nurse, which reflects how much I genuinely love caring for others, both people and pets. I’m patient, detail-oriented, and attentive, and I bring that same level of compassion and responsibility to every dog I care for. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving owners peace of mind. I have a very open and flexible schedule. I only have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., which allows me to plan my days around pet care needs. On days I don’t have class, I’m fully available for walks, drop-ins, extended stays, and giving pets consistent attention throughout the day. Even on class days, I’m able to provide care before and after class and make sure pets stick to their normal routines. Safety and trust are always my top priorities when caring for pets, whether in my home or in a client’s home. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, needs, and any specific instructions so they feel comfortable and secure. In a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all care guidelines closely, including feeding schedules, walk routines, medication instructions, and house rules. I make sure doors and gates are secure, keep pets in safe areas, and maintain a calm, clean environment. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, pet-friendly space with close supervision, plenty of attention, and a comfortable area to rest and play. I’m careful about monitoring behavior, limiting exposure to hazards, and adjusting care based on age, energy level, or health needs. I also believe communication is extremely crucial, so I provide regular updates and photos to keep owners informed and confident that their pets are well cared for.

“First time leaving her alone overnight proved to be challenging. Our Kya barked and growled not letting Lauren near her. So thankful she was able to get her into the backyard and back inside to feed her. Hoping next time will be better, as Kya got more comfortable with Lauren each time she came. Lauren is very reliable and we will use her again.”

About: Ive taken care of my best friends dog Tucker , he is a very adorable golden retriever , and ive taken care of him by walking him, feeding him , and sleeping with him. Today she also took Pepper out for a walk, and everything went smoothly. Pepper ! I really appreciate her reliability, clear communication, and the care she shows. Highly recommend!”

About: i have been house sitting/ dog sitting and walking for years with different family’s. I have been able to successfully train and teach dogs skills. I don’t currently have a job so I have plenty of time to look after animals! I can do any time of the day and any day of the week! About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was eight years old, starting with neighborhood and family pets. What began as “dog watch” while neighbors were away quickly turned into a true love for pet care. Families trusted me to supervise playtime, keep their dogs safe, and make sure they felt comfortable and happy while away from home. I’ve had dogs of my own since I was eleven, including an energetic Australian Shepherd, an English Cream Golden Retriever, and a Red Labrador Retriever. Through them, I’ve gained firsthand experience with high-energy, playful breeds as well as more relaxed personalities. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and activity levels whether they need long walks and stimulation or calm companionship. As an animal lover, caring for pets has always been second nature to me. I want to make sure your pet doesn't feel like they're being walked by a stranger, but by a friend. I'm currently studying business at Pace University in Lower Manhattan. I'm fully available Friday through Monday for walks or in-house care. I'm available in the afternoons from 3:15-5PM Tuesday-Thursday. Since I'm entering your home and your dog's space I want to keep the routine they have as best I can. I carefully follow all feeding schedules, portion instructions, and preferred walk times. I make sure your pet gets plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention. I’m very respectful of your home and treat it like I would want mine to be treated. I keep food and water areas clean, wipe paws after walks if needed, and make sure everything is secure before leaving. I can also send regular updates and photos so you feel comfortable knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. Most importantly, I don't want your pet to feel like they are with a stranger, but with someone they trust!
About: I am a 32-year-old living in a house in Wenham (with a large backyard!) with flexible work hours. I work from home, and I'm a writer so hours are flexible, so I can take your dog for a walk whenever you need me to. I am responsible, kind, and athletic, and would love taking your dog on a long neighborhood walk, a dog park, or another location you'd prefer. I’ve been a Rover sitter for over five years, and have watched all kinds of pups! Young or old, big or small, energetic and outgoing or shy and timid… I’ve watched (and loved) them all! Being a Rover sitter is truly one of my biggest joys. As someone who loves dogs but doesn’t have one yet myself, I will truly treat your pup like my own and make sure he or she has a fantastic time away :) I am a previous pet owner myself -- growing up I had an incredibly energetic golden retriever dog, as well as a cat who lived 15 years. I also used to volunteer at the Ipswich Animal Shelter because I love all animals! I work a 9-to-5 job from home, but my role as a writer means I have limited meetings — so I have a lot of flexibility to take your pup for walks and play with him or her throughout the day. I follow the owner’s advice when it comes to how to make the animal feel safe and comfortable in my home. I ensure I am always aware of where the pup or cat is and watch them so they don’t get themselves into harm’s way, and I follow the animal’s lead when it comes to whether they want to be picked up or pet or whether they want space to explore a bit. I work full-time from home, and as a writer I have a flexible schedule to play and walk your pet throughout the day as well as on weekends. We have a house in Wenham, and I always ensure anything potentially dangerous is off the floor before a pup comes over. I also make sure they have their own space in my house on a dog bed or blanket with toys so they feel safe and welcomed.
About: I’ve grown up around animals my entire life, and caring for them has always been something I truly love. Having multiple dogs and cats over the years has given me experience with pets of all ages, personalities, and care needs. From energetic puppies to senior pets who need extra patience and attention, I understand how important it is to make every animal feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’ve also cared for friends, family members, and neighbors pets, ranging from small dogs to large breeds and cats with different routines and personalities. I’m experienced with feeding schedules, walks, playtime, administering basic care, and giving pets the love and attention they deserve while their owners are away. I absolutely adore animals and will always treat your pets like they’re my own, with patience, kindness, and plenty of affection. My goal is to make both you and your pet feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for at all times. I’m currently in college, but when I’m on breaks and come home I’m available. My schedule changes often giving me lots of flexibility and time to spend with your pets! I treat every pet like they’re my own. I make sure every pet im with is comfortable and feels loved. I make sure they’re feed, have water and go out when they have to.

About: Animals have always had a special place in my heart. I have worked as a veterinary technician and dog walker, volunteered at cat shelters, and had my own aggressive Rottie. These experiences have helped me learn so much about animal behavior and training, medication administration, and tending to different types of needs a pet may have. While I did not make a career out of caring for animals, I still want to care for them in any way I can!

Please note I do have a very friendly dog at my home (he loves all animals!) so if your pet is boarded my dog will be present. I would also like to add a note that if you are requesting house sitting services, I usually take my dog with me for the nights unless requested otherwise. If that is the case, please let me know and I will see if I can make accommodations for my pet so I am able. Thank you!

“Rebecca was very communicative about my pup’s stay. She sent pictures and updates. It was clear my dog had a nice time and was well cared for. My dog is a little slow to warm up and anxious but she settled in well and enjoyed playing with the other dogs. My dog came home happy and healthy.”

“Piper came back happy from Belinda’s! Belinda was very responsible, flexible, and made sure to slowly introduce Piper to her own pup! If I am back in town with Piper I will definitely reach out to her again!”
“Samantha and her family loved Willow like one of their own! I would send her back any time. They were also extremely understanding and flexible when our flight home was delayed and we had to adjust our pickup time several hours later.”

“Kristen was excellent. She truly treated our pup like he was her own. She was very communicative and sent lots of updates and pictures. We will certainly rebook with Kristen again!”

About: I have had dogs and cats my whole life. I’ve fed them, walked them and help take care of them. I have walked dogs and pet sit for 5years. Animals are so relaxing and fun. I’m a stay at home mom so I have a lot of free time while my kids are at school. I can provide dog walking and/or pet sitting I can either have dogs at my place which has a fenced in yard or can do drop in visits. I unfortunately cant stay at anyones house due to having kids and a dog myself
“I think my dog likes Liz more than me! He was happy to see me again and to come home, but if he could have, he would have moved her and her place in next door to us. Liz is gentle, picks up on important cues from the dogs, is thorough and just great. There was a complication in our premade arrangements with another sitter the night before we were scheduled to fly out of the country that could have ruined our 2 week honeymoon in Japan. Liz really stepped up for Rover and for us. She’s the very best.”
