About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats, young and senior for 25+ years. Your pet will be family to me. And will be loved and cared for very well. In addition, I’m neat and clean. You’re home will also be well cared for. I’m presently not working. So, I will be with your pet 24/7. I like to snuggle with my pets and hope your pet will enjoy snuggling with me. I LOVE dogs and cats! Your pet will be treated as if my own. Walks and snuggles and snacks (if you permit) will be plentiful. I’m a low key, quiet person. So your pet does not have to be fearful of me.
“Rachel was wonderful with our Maggie! She was very responsive to our text messages and also so flexible with our schedules and everything involving our dog. She stayed in our home with Maggie, and we returned to our house the way we left it. We highly recommend Rachel for your next pet sitter!”

“Serena was great with all the dogs! She took time to learn about them and how to best care for them. We had five dogs at our house due to our daughter's wedding, she handled it very well. I will use her for any future times away.”
“Abigail was amazing with my 3 crazy pups! We needed someone last minute to watch our dogs for our wedding and Abigail did a meet and greet and my dogs loved her! My boy is very anxious and ended up loving her! We really appreciated her and will be using her in the future anytime we need someone!”

“This was our second time having Sarah stay with our dog. I couldn’t ask for a better experience! Sarah was excellent at keeping in touch, our dog was happy and well cared for. Our dog has some special needs and I always worry about leaving him but Sarah was amazing at understanding him and his needs. The house was exactly as we left it. Overall, a fantastic experience!”

“Forest was great with our pup Sherlock! He stayed with him in our house during the Christmas holidays for 8 days. We stayed in touch during the stay with texts and he sent some pictures. When we came back the dog was happy and our house clean, we couldn’t ask for more! Thank you, Forest!”

“Maria is reliable, communicates clearly and often, and noted all the details we had left her to care for our pups. She handled them with care and learned each one’s nuances. The transition back home after our extended vacation was smooth and our pups were in step with their regular routine. We would highly recommend Maria to anyone!”

“Jonathan watched my dog Werewolf while I was away for four days. He cleaned up after two accidents in the house and took him for multiple walks per day. He kept me updated with tons of photos and took excellent care of him. I will definitely use him again.”

“Once again Samara did an awesome job taking care of our 4 fur babies! They love her! She does a great job communicating with us, sends us pictures, and cleaned up for us, even though she didn’t have to. Thank you Samara!”

About: I’ve loved animals for so long. I am very much capable of taking care of animals of any size as I have a large german shepherd at home and a small dachshund/chihuahua at home as well. I will make sure your pet has a lot of fun with me. Animals are naturally very excited to see me so you have nothing to worry about in terms of that. I love going on walks no matter the weather and I will love to take care of your pets. I have pet sat before while I was babysitting and I always had a fun job and I have done it multiple times in my life time. Pets are everything to me and i want your pet to have a comfortable experience. I’m a college student who is off of school right now and so my availability is incredibly flexible! I am willing to work with your schedule and requests as well! I care for my pets by giving them lots of love and attention. I always spoil my dogs and love to give them lots of exercise and entertainment so they’re not just sitting around all day and I would do the same with your pet!

“Allison was absolutely amazing. When I came home, I didn’t even know she was in my home. Everything was exactly the way I left it. She took very good care of my dog. She kept in contact with me and answered my text messages within 10 minutes. She even took the garbage out to the garage!! There was no dirty dishes, even in my dishwasher as I said it didn’t even look like she was here. There was no poop in my backyard. She’s amazing”

“I can’t say enough good things about Sabrina! She took incredible care of my dogs and my home while I was away. She was responsive and kept me updated with pix. It’s not easy trusting someone with both your pet and your space, but she made it completely stress-free. My dogs were so happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for and my home looked better than I left it. I would 100% recommend her and will absolutely be booking with her again in the future! She's amazing!”
“I can’t recommend Tiffany enough! She was able to help us out with a last-minute request, and was super easy to work with. She came for a meet and greet and was so sweet to our cat. Charlie (the cat) has been anxious to be left alone for long periods of time since her sister passed last year, so I really needed someone to spend time with her and give her the attention we normally would. Tiffany did exactly that and then some! She sent lots of updates and pictures, and I knew that Charlie was being doted on so I could fully relax while away. Tiffany is clearly an animal lover and it shows in her care! She followed all of our instructions to the letter AND left our apartment in tip top shape. I will definitely be working with her again!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs most of my life. I currently help my parents with their two dogs and have pet sat for many family friends throughout the years. Currently between jobs and have open availability. That is subject to change when I find a new job. If you have any questions feel free to reach out ☺️ I will play with, walk, and care for your pets and home as if they were my own. I am also capable of giving prescription medications to your pet if necessary for their day to day.
About: Everyone will say that they love dogs but not only do I love dogs but all animals. I have worked in 4 AZA accredited zoos as well as Walt Disney World. I have worked with dogs, cats, lizards, snakes, donkeys, llamas and many more animals. I am able to communicate well with people about their animals as well as recognize the body language of dogs to understand if they're feeling tired, anxious etc. I also understand the patience that comes with animals, especially dogs that may feel timid around new people, and the need to calmly wait for them to accept you. I am mainly available at night on weekends and weekdays but am available anytime during the day on Saturday and Sundays. I am energetic and can keep up with many dogs by running, playing, walking long distances and more! Pet care fits into my routine very well. I’m available any night on weekends and weekdays and am available all day on Saturdays and Sundays. While caring for pets in a clients home I am respectful of their space and treat it just like I would treat my own home.
“Delen did a great job watching our dog Charlie for an entire week while we were out of town. She was responsive, thoughtful, and sent plenty of daily updates. I’d recommend her to anyone looking for dog sitting assistance.”

“Dan was great! He house-sat for us and took care of our senior dog Elsa. He was wonderful at keeping in touch and sending photos, and we would be delighted to have him take care of Elsa in the future.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Harris Hill
Monica and Matilda were absolutely wonderful. They went beyond to ensure my dog, Asher and cat Cappuccino were well taken care of and sent me regular photos of both to keep me informed. The house was also clean and picked up so nicely. I’m so thankful to have had them stay at our home to house/pet sit!

Rachel exceeded all of my expectations! This was my first time ever leaving my pets with a sitter, and she made the entire experience stress free. From the very beginning, she was flexible, reliable, and took the time to come by for a meet and greet, which made me feel so much more comfortable. Throughout the stay, Rachel kept me updated with messages and photos, communicated consistently, and truly made me feel like my girls were in safe hands. She even offered to stay later while I was traveling back home! When I came home, my house was spotless, she had even washed the sheets on my bed and kept everything neat and tidy. Most importantly, I could tell my girls were completely comfortable and well cared for, which means everything to me. I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience with a pet sitter. I will absolutely be booking Rachel again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and dependable!

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Harris Hill walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Harris Hill maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Harris Hill choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Harris Hill. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 86% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
