I have a senior diabetic pomeranian and a 3 year old highly energetic Border Collie and both of my dogs seem to love Marissa! We always get pictures of our smiling pups and it is clear they have a good time during the visit. Marissa is not only great with our dogs, but she is reliable, trustworthy, and will go the extra mile to accommodate bookings. We never come home to any accidents, and she is always kind enough to bring our packages in front the porch. This holiday season she surprised us with a goodie bag with some things for our dogs AND us! It just goes to show how thoughtful and caring she is. About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and started helping care for them at a young age. My family always had dogs, so I’m very comfortable with feeding routines, walks, playtime, and making sure pets feel safe and happy. I’ve also dog sat for several clients through Rover, caring for dogs with different personalities and routines. I understand how important it is for pets to feel comfortable in their own home while their owners are away, and I’m always happy to send updates and photos so you know they’re doing well. I have flexible availability for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting during the week. On weekends I’m also available for boarding and longer stays in Groton, CT where there is a quiet yard and more space for dogs to relax and enjoy outdoor time. I focus on keeping pets comfortable and safe in their environment while following their normal routines. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions for feeding, walks, and medications if needed. I always make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and a calm environment while their owners are away. When boarding with me on weekends, dogs have space to relax and access to a quiet yard for outdoor time.

“Heather was absolutely amazing! Our senior cat recently started on insulin shots twice a day and we were nervous about leaving him. We were put at ease as soon as we met Heather. She came twice a day promptly at the times he needed his meds and cared for him as if he was her own pet! We got updates and photos at each visit and it seems like our old kitty fell into a nice, relaxed routine with her😊. She did an amazing job keeping his days as “normal” as possible for him and she went way above and beyond keeping his entire space (and ours) tidy. I wouldn’t hesitate for a minute to use Heather’s services again when we travel. I felt very comfortable having her in my home and with my pet. Thank you!”

About: I have been volunteering with animal rescues since I was in high school along with dogwalking in my hometown. I have spent the past three years in college volunteering with the local animal shelter walking their dogs to relieve them of time in the shelter. On these walks I take the time to work on basic skills and socialization. I am completing my MBA this summer, and would love to help you out with any of your pet care needs! I am finishing up my MBA at Bryant University leaving me with an open availability days outside of my classes which are Mondays and Wednesdays. I have previously handled multiple different dogs in different situations. I always aim to make the animal feel the most comfortable in every situation. I plan to care for your pets on your own terms whether that be in your own backyard or on walks near your house.

One thing that Maureen did that was impressive was kneeling down to Chloe’s level when they first met.
