“Nicole was great! She took good care of my senior cat. She showed up when she said she would and I didn't have to worry about anything. I'd definitely book with her again!”

“Victoria was an amazing pet sitter for drop in visits for our little meow. She was incredibly responsive with all communication, showed up on time, shared lots of updates and photos with us, and even checked on our chickens as well. She was proactive with questions, and just made us feel comfortable and at ease right away. She is a thoughtful and caring person, and her expertise and comfort with animals was very apparent in how she approached getting to Lia. We highly recommend Victoria, and are looking forward to having her back to watch Lia again soon!”

About: Throughout my life, animals and children have been drawn to my soft energy. I’ve had and been around dogs and cats all my life. I’ve been working with my giant schnauzer and friends’ dogs that range from rescued grey hounds to small mixed breeds. I am the go-to for any pet sitting for the fur babies. I’m an aunt to a female brindle kitty that is a sassy lady but loves to snuggle me when I visit. Additionally, I frequently watch a reactive grey hound and I am able to still provide the attention she deserves. I understand patience is key when working with people and animals. I’m a Behavioral Technician for children on the spectrum. I currently work 8 am-5 pm Mon-Fri in Warwick. I’m the perfect fit for holidays, evenings, overnights, and weekends! I am thorough with my communication and the expectations needed for any situation. I am typically a homebody who enjoys movies, games, and reading. When house sitting, I usually hang around with your fur baby and offer emotional support until you return. I’ll follow their lead and offer bids for connection. I stick to the routine schedule provided to me (feedings and potty breaks). While providing the known routine for comfort to the animal, I use this time to attempt pairing whether that be with pets of affection, extra treats (if allowed and within acceptable limit), or structured play time.

“Diana did a great job with my puppy! I’m so thankful to have found her when I did to care for my puppy while I was on a work trip. Highly recommend booking if you’re looking for a sitter that’s responsive and communicative!”

“Heath was great with the fur babies! Checked in numerous times and any of the items I forgot to mention Heath reached out to confirm to take care of them! Will for sure reach out again next time we go out of town!”

About: My family and I have fostered dogs and cats, and litters of puppies and kittens since I was nine years old. Being homeschooled for a majority of my childhood, I was able to learn about taking care of these needy animals at such a young age. We have fostered dogs and cats of almost all ages, from newborns to adults. Even during the years, my family and I fostered these animals, I’ve had multiple neighbors at a time rely on me to visit and walk their dogs while they’re at work. That is how I got my first job at 11 years old. I’m out of school for the summer, so I am free practically whenever your pups need me! I can drop in/walk daily or weekly, whatever works for you! With my school and work schedule and the living situation I’m in, I don’t currently offer boarding services, but that may change in the future!
About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong dog lover with a special place in my heart (and home) for furry friends. I’ve raised and trained dogs, including German Shepherds, and since moving from Boston to RI two years ago, I’ve loved turning my cozy, dog-friendly home into a little retreat for pups. We’ve got an acre of land to explore, and every day starts with a peaceful walk through our sunny neighborhood. Whether your pup is here for the day or staying overnight, they’ll get lots of attention, playtime, and love—just like they would at home. I offer: • Boarding in my home • Doggy daycare • Dog walking • Drop-in visits I’m reliable, warm, and totally dog-obsessed—every dog I meet becomes part of the pack. I’d love to care for yours next! Feel free to reach out with any questions—I can’t wait to meet you and your pup! 🐾💛 I work remotely 4 days a week week. I often adventure locally with my husband in tow on the weekends hiking, doing outdoor activities, very dog friendly :) I live on a quiet road across from an apple orchard, not close to any type of traffic. I have about a half acre green backyard for dogs to run in with my supervision

“This review is long overdue! I have been using Marissa for about a year now give or take for twice weekly drop ins. I have a senior diabetic pomeranian and a 3 year old highly energetic Border Collie and both of my dogs seem to love Marissa! We always get pictures of our smiling pups and it is clear they have a good time during the visit. Marissa is not only great with our dogs, but she is reliable, trustworthy, and will go the extra mile to accommodate bookings. We never come home to any accidents, and she is always kind enough to bring our packages in front the porch. This holiday season she surprised us with a goodie bag with some things for our dogs AND us! It just goes to show how thoughtful and caring she is. I would absolutely recommend booking with Marissa!”

“Jonathan was a lifesaver when prior a pet sitter canceled last minute, and in a way I’m happy it turned out that way! You can tell from the minute you meet him he genuinely cares for your animals like they are his own and makes every effort to show it. He even crocheted a blanket for our kitty! My husband and I never had to worry a day while we were on our vacation because we knew our cats were in great hands. We cannot begin to thank you enough!”
About: I am a lifelong dog parent with two wonderful rescues. I have learned first aid training, medication administration and canine behavior. Exercise and stimulation are important to ensure dogs do not become bored and destructive or depressed. No two dogs are the same. One of my dogs loves to run while the other loves to swim! What one enjoys, another may not so I need to understand how your dog plays. I look forward to caring for your dog!
“Miranda has been wonderful with drop in visits for my dog. She is easy to work with, great communication, reliable, and clearly enjoys her work and spending time with animals.”

About: I have spent my life with dogs and cats, caring for and raising them, and loved every minute. I would love to run with your dog or lounge with your cat! I will be working 8-5 every week day, but would happily walk or play with your pets any time around that. I am also available weekends. I will not be able to have pets in my home, but I will happily visit yours! I will keep them in your yard if you wish, and always use a lease. Whatever is best!
“Meaghan was a delight! I was able to enjoy my time away knowing that she was waking such great care of my boy. She sent pictures every time she visited and I really appreciated that.”

“Lisa has watched our cat Gary a bunch of times and she is absolutely wonderful. She always sends photos, lets us know how he’s doing, and is super responsive and conscientious. We couldn’t be happier to have her helping to take care of him!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Scituate. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
