“We felt extremely comfortable with Annemarie after we initially met her and knew our pups were going to be in safe hands. We received detailed updates and photos with each drop in! She did a great job and will definitely use her services in the future.”

“I'm a single dog dad and work long days, so Caeli helps me have peace of mind by taking my pups for their midday walk on days when I can't. She does such a great job with them and I know they are in good hands. Appreciate her help!”

“What wonderful experience! Could not recommend Nicole more! She was very communicative, sent pictures and took great care of my puppy! Will definitely be using her again to care for Pedey! Thank you so much! ❤️”

“Heath did an amazing job watching our pups! I have 3 dogs and one is a senior dog with mobility issues. All the dogs were happy and well taken care of. Heath was also very communicative, and punctual with all the drop in times. We will absolutely book him again for future persisting needs!”

“Rebecca took excellent care of my slightly anxious and socially awkward rescue cat named Garage while I was away. I was a little worried leaving her for 3 days because of her behavioral issues, but found that she was in great hands with Rebecca. We will definitely be requesting her again!”

“Genevieve did a phenomenal job with my cat and gave him so much attention. He has separation anxiety, but he was in a great mood when I got home from my work trip. I will be using Genevieve's services going forward! :)”

About: I have been taking care of my own pets and animals my whole life, but recently expanded into watching and doing over night care, dog walking, and pet care for neighbors, family and friends. I’m currently going to Rhode Island College and pursuing my bachelors in Secondary Education. I also work part-time at a local hotel 3-11pm. This means I’m prettt flexible with when I can drop in to do pet-sitting and many of my classes have hour gaps in between so I can fit in pet visits! For my dogs at home, I ensure routine feedings are being followed to their timed feeding, I also focus on walking my own dogs 2-4 times a day, depending on which dog! In my own home I have 3 dogs, and 2 cats. For cats I also focus on ensuring that cats are following their feeding schedule, also ensuring that they are being played with, and enrichment is being provided.
“I couldn’t be happier with my experience! Shannon was wonderful with my dogs and treated them with so much care, patience, and love. It gave me such peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands while I was away. Communication was excellent, and I always felt confident that they were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. She was reliable, attentive, and clearly genuinely loves animals. I would absolutely recommend Shannon to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable dog sitter. I will definitely be using them again!”

About: I’m an attentive and reliable dog walker who enjoys spending time in the woods and parks. Your lovely pet will enjoy the best nature walk with me! When I’m not working, I like spending my time outdoors as much as possible and attending to dogs is a perfect opportunity to get out more. Whether I’m walking or dog sitting, I make sure to follow the owners preferences and instructions. Each pet has their own specific needs and I’m eager to learn yours.
“Justina was EXCELLENT. She was very communicative and prompt. She treated my cat very well and kept me up to date on everything that was going on. I will definitely be reaching out next time I am out of town!”

“Marissa was amazing taking care of my cat, Violet, during the holidays. She was always timely and responsible, plus Violet loved her right away. She sent updates every day, which I very much appreciated. I would highly recommend her to anyone!”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and grew up with my first dog, a Pit Bull and Chocolate Lab mix, who was with me from birth until I was 16. I helped care for her throughout her life and developed a really special bond with her. I also have a new dog who is mostly Pit Bull, and I take care of him regularly. I’ve also cared for friends dogs and currently walk a Golden Retriever multiple times a week throughout the summer. I’m comfortable with different personalities and love building a genuine connection with every dog I meet. I’m currently a student but have a pretty flexible schedule where I have much free time during the week and full availability on the weekends. I want every pet to feel safe and comfortable while they’re in my care. I follow each owner’s instructions and keep their normal routine as much as possible. I’m very attentive and make sure pets get the care, attention and love they need. I also treat every client’s home with the same respect I would want for my own.
About: I’m dependable, patient, and attentive, and I treat every dog with the same care and respect I would give my own. Whether your pup needs an energetic walk, a leisurely stroll, or simply some attention, I’m happy to provide a safe and positive experience tailored to their individual personality and needs. I know that every dog is different, so I take the time to get to know each pup and make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. My goal is for you to have peace of mind knowing your dog is in good hands while you’re away. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your four-legged friend! ** Last minute requests are accepted. ** My availability is mostly over the weekend, but can offer some weekday care as needed and fits. I work full time M-F. Thank you for understanding. My residence does not allow additional pets so am not able to care for your pets in my home. I can only offer visits at your home. Thank you for understanding.
About: Hello! My name is Valeria & I am a 19 yr old college student at RIC. I have been pet-sitting since I was 15 years old. I have experience with cats, dogs, fish & bunnies. My college classes are in the day time from Monday through Thursday starting the end of August with gaps in between classes so I can do drop by visits & evening pet sitting care. I always ensure that leashes are not too long so dogs do not wander off. I take dogs out for potty breaks according to the schedule you provide or as needed.

“Neriah is amazing with our puppy Ricky! She is communicative, friendly, and reliable! She provides us with pictures and updates for each drop in which is appreciated. She clearly really knows our pup and loves what she does!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Greenville. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
