“Heath was terrific. He connected quickly and easily with my two cats-one of whom can be super shy- to the point that both were requesting belly-rubs within two days😀. I came home to two happy cats, my mail in, my trash can in, and the kitchen trash emptied! 😀. I’m definitely keeping Heath at the top of my list of cat sitters”

About: If you're looking for a sitter who will treat your dog child like their own, then look no further :) I know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your baby with somebody else, so I make it my mission to make sure you’re aware that your dog is getting all the love and attention they need. I take pride in providing quality photos and updates throughout their stay! My dog Finn and I absolutely love having new friends stay with us. Is your dog filled with energy and needs to get it all out daily? My back yard allows me to run around and play until your dog is ready for a break! If your dog is more of a stroller, they will definitely enjoy accompanying Finn and I on our walks around the walking trail. Whatever it may be; I am more than happy to accommodate for any of your dog’s specific needs Pet care fits right into my schedule the same way the care for my own dog fits into my schedule. It is my top priority that all dogs are comfortable and cared for My dog, Finn, has always been my shadow around my house. I'm just used to constantly being around him, and I find that my guests typically like to join in on the shadowing. I have a small house, so we are all usually in the same room hanging out. I love taking them on long walks around the scenic trail next to my house.

About: I have both the education and the experience to take excellent care of your pet! I have a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, but more importantly I have the lifelong love and experience for pet care. I have taken care of a wide variety of animals, including but not limited to dogs, cats, reptiles, rodents, and fish. I have had a dog at home for my entire life, and I have personally kept reptiles and fish as pets. I am able to administer medication as needed or other medical tasks like cleaning ears or wounds. I would love to meet your pet and give them the best experience while you’re away. My schedule is currently open to whatever your needs are! I would love to take on some drop-ins or get outside with your pup and stretch our legs! I have a secured runner in my backyard, and I can confidently restrain and crate pets as needed in the home or on walks. I want to make sure that I keep your critter safe and healthy while they’re in my care.

“This was our first time working with Olivia and she was absolutely amazing! Our kitties were fed, played with, cared for, cuddled, and loved daily. Our Siberian cat is generally skittish with strangers and takes a while to warm up. To our surprise, Ruby was immediately obsessed with Olivia! We were able to relax during our trip knowing our cats were well taken care of. We cannot say enough great things about our experience and could not recommend Olivia more. She is respectful, honest, kind, timely, and a true animal lover. She will be our pet sitter for all future travel plans :)”

About: As a pet owner myself, I value honest and reliable care, not only for owners, but the animals themselves. I have experience providing care for a diverse set of pets, including dogs, cats, birds, and other small animals. I aim to build trust with those for whom I provide care. I am comfortable with administering medication and attending to specific needs. Most importantly, I treat others pets with the same love and attentiveness as I do my own. I work full-time during the week, though I have more flexibility on Tuesdays and Thursdays when I work from home. I am available for drop-in visits any day of the week. I work with my clients to meet their needs and go out of my way to do so. When providing care in an owner’s home, I aim to leave pets and the home in a state that the owner would be happy to return to. I respect the boundaries of owners and pets alike so that I can build a relationship of trust, communication, and reliability. I hope to show my dedication to proper pet care through my actions.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have found Rich (Kemba) for our American Bulldog, George. Our meet & greet was off to a slow start, as George is not always friendly to new people. Kemba and his wife Sandra, however, we so amazingly patient, understanding and kind to George - allowing him time to warm up a bit as we talked about his particular needs. Clearly they have a wealth of knowledge and experience working with all sorts of animals, including those who are "misunderstood". We scheduled a 2 week period of 2/day drop-in visits for George, beginning with yesterday (while my husband and I were home to show Kemba the ropes). George was extremely unpleasant and unwelcoming, but Kemba remained calm and collected, explaining George's behavior and reassuring him. He reassured me as well, as I was stressing out over George's outburst. We reviewed some of the notes I left for Kemba and went outside for a short playtime. George is very capable, caring hands with this man. We have a very good feeling moving forward and are confident that he and George will be great friends. I cannot recommend Kemba more highly.”

About: I've grown up with cats and dogs my whole life. As a teenager I fostered dogs of all ages and sizes with my mother, from litters of puppies to energetic rascals to oldies slowing down. Since I was a baby my house always had at least one cat, sometimes up to 5 at a time, and our house was where the neighborhood knew to bring any cats that were found needing help. I have had cats with special needs, and three big black shelter lab mixes. As an adult I have developed a hobby interest in dog training, and I know how much structure, clear communication, and strong leadership can help put a dog at ease and keep them safe. I love all animals and volunteered for 4 years in wildlife rehabilitation. I'm moving back to Rhode Island and taking on small jobs as I establish my schedule and routine, so I have plenty of time and flexibility for immediate requests! I have my own car, so I can easily come to your home for home stay, drop-ins, and walks! My family dogs were crate trained, so I understand routines of crating, feeding, taking out, etc. I am also comfortable with different types of leads, such as harnesses, gentle leads, prong collars, and soft and hard muzzles. I have also taken care of dogs who have specialty needs, such as indoor litter boxes, doggy diapers, and specialty diets. I have administered oral medication, in both pill and liquid form, to both cats and dogs.

About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong dog lover with a special place in my heart (and home) for furry friends. I’ve raised and trained dogs, including German Shepherds, and since moving from Boston to RI two years ago, I’ve loved turning my cozy, dog-friendly home into a little retreat for pups. We’ve got an acre of land to explore, and every day starts with a peaceful walk through our sunny neighborhood. Whether your pup is here for the day or staying overnight, they’ll get lots of attention, playtime, and love—just like they would at home. I offer: • Boarding in my home • Doggy daycare • Dog walking • Drop-in visits I’m reliable, warm, and totally dog-obsessed—every dog I meet becomes part of the pack. I’d love to care for yours next! Feel free to reach out with any questions—I can’t wait to meet you and your pup! 🐾💛 I work remotely 4 days a week week. I often adventure locally with my husband in tow on the weekends hiking, doing outdoor activities, very dog friendly :) I live on a quiet road across from an apple orchard, not close to any type of traffic. I have about a half acre green backyard for dogs to run in with my supervision

About: Hello there, I am an experienced pet sitter located in North Providence. I have my own home with a lovely yard, I'm retired, so I'm home the majority of the day so your pup will not be left alone for more than a few minutes if at all. I provide a caring, calm, safe environment to care for your special friend. Ive been taking care of dogs my whole life, and I have been sitting other peoples pets professionally for about 4 years now. I adore all kinds of dogs & animals in general and very much enjoy caring for peoples pets. Being retired allows me to have the time to dedicate myself to providing all the love & attention your furry family member deserves. I am very comfortable sitting all types of dogs, all ages & breeds are welcome. You may relax & rest assured that your loved ones needs are being met by a true animal lover with many years of experience as a dog owner and pet sitter & caregiver. My home is hardwood, some tile in the kitchen, and is always cleaned & pup proofed. I have plenty of space for your pup to romp and a beautiful yard to walk them in, with trails & parks nearby. I provide solo accommodations if your dog prefers being being the center or attention, and also take multiple dogs if they are from the same household. If you have any questions please contact me, I look forward to meeting you & your special friend soon! I began pet sitting after I retired, I am home 95% of the day, so your pet will be not be left unsupervised for more than a few minutes at the most. I am very loving, laid back, affectionate, & patient with the pets I take care of. I have a mostly fenced in backyard, we do our walks back there as well as spend time in my outdoor pen area when the weather is nice. When we are outdoors the pups are always on their leashes, and we avoid the main road just to be extra safe. I have an adorable 3 year old female Maltipoo named Ellie. She is as sweet as can be and loves to make new friends. When your pup comes to stay they are welcome to explore the entire house, it is safe and completely puppy proofed. They are allowed to snuggle on the couch, or wherever they are comfortable. I have plenty of beds, blankets, toys, & treats. We go for walks every two hours for tinkle breaks, and I like to take the dogs on a nice long walk in the mornings after breakfast and again after dinner. My little Ellie the Maltipoo loves to play, however is only 9 lbs so she is very gentle, she loves to make friends. I am comfortable administering medication or supplements if necessary, I have experience working with elderly dogs, and dogs on different medications as well. I am comfortable with dogs with health issues such as allergies, diabetes, and I am certified in pet first aid & CPR. I am comfortable with all age ranges, from puppy to elderly. I work with a few of both and they are equally adorable. If your dog has a special routine at home that you would like followed, such as crating, no furniture, special diets such as home cooked food. During mealtimes I separate Ellie & whomever is staying or with us for daycare. I have gates so that each dog can eat comfortably as well as preventing them from eating one anothers food. There is a beautiful trail nearby, with your permission the dogs do enjoy a nice stroll, and I take my dog quite often. Its a very mellow environment here, the dogs seem to enjoy coming & we have a lot of fun.

About: I meditate regularly so I have a calm, grounded presence, especially around animals. I grew up around cat and dogs my whole life so I know them well and how to care for them. Also I all kinds of animals including octopus, fish, snakes, scorpions, frogs, spiders, hedgehogs, ferrets, etc. Happy to care for any and all pets in your family. I run my own design/tech/apparel company (goodfornothing.lol) so I can work from anywhere on my laptop and my schedule is my own. Taking care of animals is a joy for me and gets me out of the house and out for walks =) I can be available for weekdays or most weekends with enough prior notice. I especially enjoy dropping in on pets during the day when their people are at work and give them some time/food/walks/playtime/attention. I can't offer pet boarding in my home currently, but I'm happy to house and pet sit for you while your family is away. I prefer sleeping in my own travel camper that I can park easily by your home when I come to visit. Happy to arrange anything from as short as a weekend to a few weeks if you'll be away for a while.

About: I've had dogs and cats my entire life, I've raised puppies and kittens and I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty! I also work for All Tails R Wagging in Foxboro MA, and Furry Fellas here in Providence doing dog walking and petsitting! I am quite experienced in pet care for many different animals including reptiles, birds, and rodents. I also have pet CPR/First Aid training and can handle senior care, med management, and more. I have my regular dog walking job throughout the week in bursts, but other than that you can find my schedule extremely flexible for weekends, holidays, and more. I am not a good fit for 24/7 constant care as I leave and drop in several times a day. I can provide up to 4 drop ins daily plus overnights. I am very sensitive to each individual pet's needs including medical conditions requiring medication, and other conditions like separation anxiety. If you have a highly energetic one, I will be out in the yard playing often, or walking them for a long time. For cats, they can get the space they sometimes want, or they can cuddle up on me for hours. I have cleaned up a myriad of messes quite successfully as well, haha.

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Harmony

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost of Pet Sitting in Harmony is $18 per visit as of November 2026. Most bookings cost between $16 and $21 per visit. On Rover, sitters set their own rates based on factors such as their experience, the length of care, the number of pets, and your pet’s specific needs. As long as your booking dates and pet profiles are accurate, the price shown before you confirm is the total, including any booking fee.

As of November 2026, there are 3,457 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Harmony. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Harmony. On Rover:

  • 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
