“Devorat is an absolute dream. She is truly the pet-parent that you want if you have to be away from your own pet. My dog Mookie stayed with Devorat for 5 days and nights on very short notice. She messaged frequently in the first 24 hours to keep us updated on how Mookie was settling in, and sent plenty of photos during the entire stay. We could tell from the photos that he was clearly comfortable in his home-away-from-home. He and Toby were great playmates in the fenced-in backyard, and he Devorat were fast friends, with plenty of couch cuddle-time. Knowing Mookie was well cared for really helped us enjoy our family trip. In addition to her care and attention to Mookie, Devorat also offered accommodation and flexibility in the drop-off and pick-up scheduling to make things as easy as possible for us as we nailed down our travel plans at the last minute. Our situation was a little unusual because my cats and I have been displaced from our home due to a mold issue, and one of my boys, Jack, had already been experiencing health symptoms. I was also leaving for a weekend, so this was my first time ever dropping my cats off with a sitter instead of having someone stay in my home. Needless to say, I was pretty anxious. From the very first meet-and-greet, Olivia immediately put me at ease. Her background as a veterinary technician was reassuring, but what truly stood out was how genuinely kind, compassionate, and attentive she is. About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.

I will adapt to any routine your pet has in your home. I can feed them, go for walks, play fetch, cuddles, change litter boxes, whatever they may need.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats ever since I was a teenager, 10 plus years and have been around animals since the day I was born. I take pride in the care of other animals and treat them like my own. I have loved and cared for cats and dogs of all sizes. Whether being taken care of in your home or mine, your pet will be treated like family. I currently work full time but I am available on weekends. I work 8:30 am-5:00 pm so am available if needed early mornings before work or after work. 1 week a month I work 10:30am-7:00 pm so would be available that week before 10:30 am. I have a fenced in front yard for dogs to play and stay safe in, my dog is currently crate trained so if your dog needs to be crated I am able to do that as well. I make sure all things dogs/cats shouldn’t have are out of site in my home. My dog is great with dogs and cats.

All of which I have owned and loved myself. My availabily is very open and I welcome same day bookings. I ask for at least a few hours of a notice to ensure that your pet receives the best level of care available. As we know, life can change in a second, so same day cancelations are accepted. I have grown accustomed to understanding pet behaviors and tendencies. I will always make sure to watch your pet to the best of my ability ensuring they are both physically and mentally in the best hands. All pets, including reactive and scared ones, deserve the best care possible.

He coordinated with my son who I asked to go get him and take him to the vet and kept me in the loop while encouraging me to enjoy my trip. He checked in to see how Kash was doing when I got him home. If you have a dog with a medical condition, I would not hesitate to leave your baby with Misael. “Erica was a godsend. We took in a foster in Feb and ended up adopting her. Unlike my other two dogs, the new pup hates being crated and has separation anxiety. We had a prescheduled trip planned for April and the new pup was too much for our house sitter to handle since he’d be coming and going. We were able to do a meet and greet with Erica where she assured me she’d have no problem watching the pup. Things worked out well and she will be my go to the next time we get away.”

“Samantha went above and beyond for our boys! We were visiting family in TN for the holidays. One of our boys came down with sudden and severe Lyme symptoms while we were gone. Samantha spent many hours with him in urgent care on New Year’s Eve. She even bought the workers there pizza! She was great at caring for him and giving him meds after. Her fenced-in yard and house arrangement are perfect for our boys. She sent daily pictures and videos of our pups playing with her dog Mac and snuggling with her family. We will definitely be using her again. In fact, if she’s not available, we might reschedule our vacation to a time she is!”

“Devorat is an absolute dream. She is truly the pet-parent that you want if you have to be away from your own pet. My dog Mookie stayed with Devorat for 5 days and nights on very short notice. She messaged frequently in the first 24 hours to keep us updated on how Mookie was settling in, and sent plenty of photos during the entire stay. We could tell from the photos that he was clearly comfortable in his home-away-from-home. He and Toby were great playmates in the fenced-in backyard, and he Devorat were fast friends, with plenty of couch cuddle-time. Knowing Mookie was well cared for really helped us enjoy our family trip. In addition to her care and attention to Mookie, Devorat also offered accommodation and flexibility in the drop-off and pick-up scheduling to make things as easy as possible for us as we nailed down our travel plans at the last minute. I really appreciated her communication throughout the visit, and I could tell from her updates that she was really taking time to get to know our dog, and that he was in the best possible hands. We already plan to book with Devorat again soon!”

Our situation was a little unusual because my cats and I have been displaced from our home due to a mold issue, and one of my boys, Jack, had already been experiencing health symptoms. I was also leaving for a weekend, so this was my first time ever dropping my cats off with a sitter instead of having someone stay in my home. Needless to say, I was pretty anxious. From the very first meet-and-greet, Olivia immediately put me at ease.
