About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.

I pet sit full time, I am home 95% of the day ,your pet will not be left unsupervised for more than a few minutes at most. I have been told by my clients that I am a "dog whisperer", and have a calming presence. I am very loving, affectionate, laid back & patient with the pets I take care of. They always end up sleeping in my bed😀. I have a partially fenced-in yard, and the back yard is quite large. When we are outdoors I never let pups off of their leashes, unless they are on one of my secure leads. I have a wonderful, loving hound named Amigo, who I rescued in 2/21. He is 6 years old, sweet as can be, and absolutely loves the friends he makes having guests Rover stay over. I have a lot of experience with senior dogs, as some of my older clients are starting to enter advanced age. I care for two dogs with diabetes, I am comfortable administration their/any meds. I have several dogs with special needs, if your pup has a condition their routine will be followed precisely. I am also certified in canine/feline first aid.
