I am a Nursing student at the SRJC currently on Summer Break. My availability is open through the Mid of August. I can also care for your fur animals beyond August ! About: I have been dog sitting for years but started Rover in 2022. I started out caring for my two pugs and cat, and have been sitting for family, friends, and folks on Rover. I am currently working as a flexible overnight nursing assistant, so I have plenty of time to take care and play with your pet! The rest of the days I am here to help, so they can get all the love and attention they can get while you’re away! When I am at a client’s home I make sure fencing is secured if needed. My home has a fence as well. I also make sure they have enough place to play whether it could be inside or out. I prefer to be outside with them! I love being active with animals but if you’re pet is somewhat a couch potato OR old, I can comfort them in whatever way they feel comfortable.

About: I’ve lived with dogs since my first memory. I grew up on a farm, and we had 3-6 dogs at any given time. When I went to college, I adopted the first dog I would raise on my own -- he lived almost 15 happy years. I rescued another pup in my mid-thirties — he’s going on 7, and we’re best buds. So, I have experience taking care of puppies, seniors, and every age in between. My dogs and I have participated in puppy schools and worked 1:1 with excellent dog trainers -- in each case, I learned as much as my dog. I believe dogs just want to give love and get love back. This emotional reciprocation, along with adequate exercise and a healthy diet, makes for a happy, healthy dog. I believe every dog is good by nature, and, as humans, we have a responsibility to provide dogs with a nurturing environment in which they can be their good-natured, happy selves. I love connecting with a new dog, understanding its world and experience. With empathy from this connection, I find it easier to care for a dog and provide the type of love any particular dog needs and wants -- through daily routines, fun-hearted play, and plenty of attention. While I’m primarily a dog person, I grew up with lots of cats on the farm and have lived with and cared for cats here and there as an adult. I feel comfortable with cats and understand their needs. I walk my dog every day. I understand some dogs need more than one walk per day, depending on their energy level. I also make sure my dog gets outside several times a day to enjoy the fresh air and relieve them. I will do the same for yours, based on your preferences. At this time, I work from home, so my availability for drop-ins or walks is very flexible. I am calm, gentle, and patient and aim to create an environment where the dogs I care for can feel and act the same. When walking, I like to keep dogs on a 6-foot leash (not a retractable leash) and keep the dog walking forward as opposed to stopping every few seconds. I consider myself the leader (not the dog) and intend to set a vibe where the dog understands they have a job to do -- walk!

When sitting for dogs that are well behaved I tend to bring them with me everywhere I can, keeping them active and engaged. Taking care of your animals is my way of getting time with them during a time in my life when I cannot have them. I love all animals and promise to care for them with all the love I would impart to my own animals. I make sure to treat your house as if it were my own. This means keeping things clean and making sure that nothing is destroyed. If something does get broken (which is uncommon) you will always know and if it was my fault I will, of course, replace it. About: I've had Dogs and Cats all my life up until recently and really miss having them around. I walk my neighbors Dogs who don't have the time or energy and thought it would be great if I could supplement my income by doing something similar, that's when I found Rover! I have experience with dogs and cats of all sizes, ages, breeds and temperament and respect their unique personalities. Also have experience with both dogs and cats with medical issues and am comfortable administering medications. I anticipate their needs and provide a safe, fun environment. For an additional fee I am more than happy to bathe them too! Cleaning houses part-time give me the flexibility to check in on your Dog/Cat every two to four hours. On my days off, I'll be with them all day. I frequently go hiking and to the beach so if they like outings like that we'll have a blast. I live in a house with a fenced in yard that is a good size! They must be flea treated prior to staying in my home. I live with my Partner who loves animals as well so they will get double the love. And they will be loved and treated as if they were our own. If you are crate training and provide me with a crate and instructions I can help out with that too.

About: I have a mini zoo of my own including two cats, two children, and one house bunny. I have had cats and dogs my whole life. My dog Burdock I got when I was 20. He lived to be 17 and traveled to 14 states and Mexico with me. My youngest child is going into first grade and I am studying to get my acupuncture license so I have a fairly flexible schedule while kids are at school. I can come get your dogs and take them for a walk or come check on/ play and feed your kitties. I can feed goats, pigs, chickens, llamas, iguanas, snakes, fish, and bees.
