“Alison checked in on our dog Archie while we were gone for a few hours. She was prompt, sent a photo and remembered to put Archie in his crate when she left (per instructions). Archie can be very enthusiastic with new people and she wasn't phased at all. She also came for a pre-meet even though it was a bit of a drive for her.”

She is attentive and compassionate, and my pets are always sad to leave her after they’ve been in her care. All three of my pets are senior citizens with special needs, and she is very skilled at dealing with their various needs and administering their medications. “Lynzy has been watching my little Chihuahua Lucy several times a week for a little over a year now . . . she’s been great! Lots of walks, cuddles, and hang-outs while I am at work or away on business. She’s watched Lucy both at my home, and at her place. She’s prompt, both responsible and responsive, and obviously really cares about my Lucy. It’s very clear from the greetings Lynzy gets from Lucy that Lucy thinks Lynzy is the cat’s meow. “Lauren is honestly the best! I went out of town and she came by once a day to care for my cat Pepper for nine days! She went above and beyond taking pictures with her and playing with her and taking videos and sending them to me and giving me my daily check-ins, in addition to just the normal feeding and changing her litter box. Pepper loved her time with Lauren and I honestly think Pepper has been missing her since she is gone because she played with her so much. She is so mellow, so sweet, so friendly, so reliable and responsible, and I knew pepper was in the best of hands when I was a 6 hour plane ride away! I absolutely recommend her and will be using her again in the future for sure!”

About: I’ve had a pack my whole life. We are currently only home to one pup and we thought we might do some Doggie day care to fill the hole left in our hearts when our Zoey and Nora crossed the rainbow bridge. We recently returned to our home in Occidental after 18 months in Vermont. Since I’m in between jobs, and we have all this space, I though we would do a little doggie day care. I have a fenced acre yard and multiple kennels for pups who like the security of a crate. We also do some crate training and basic command training.

About: I have been dog sitting for years but started Rover in 2022. I started out caring for my two pugs and cat, and have been sitting for family, friends, and folks on Rover. I am currently working as an overnight nursing assistant on Sunday-Tuesday, so I have plenty of time to take care and play with your pet! The rest of the days I am here to help, so they can get all the love and attention they can get while you’re away! When I am at a client’s home I make sure fencing is secured if needed. My home has a fence as well. I also make sure they have enough place to play whether it could be inside or out. I prefer to be outside with them! I love being active with animals but if you’re pet is somewhat a couch potato OR old, I can comfort them in whatever way they feel comfortable.

She was helpful during booking, came at consistent times, sent multiple photos of everything she did (ex: a photo of the clean litter box, etc.), and even bought our cats two brand new toys while we were away. Communicative is not even the word for it - she communicated with us in a way that took every fear we had about leaving our fur babies away. She’s truly amazing and we can’t wait to have her back. “I have trusted Marti with my dog for over 5 years. When I travel, I know that my pup is in good hands, and my routine I have with my dog will continue to be respected. When I come back, my dog is not exhausted like he was when I used to board him. This shows that he was well taken care of, and not stressed. My pup also eats at Marti’s, when he didn’t eat at his boarding kennel. I have nothing but good things to say about Marti as a sitter.”

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was 13 years old. I love to take care of all animals! I also have a knack for teaching dogs new tricks. My schedule is very open to take care of your pets. I am available Tuesday,wednesday, thursday Friday and Saturday all day! I can also crate train if needed. I have a safe home with one other dog (who is very friendly and playful) and one very sweet cat that will love to keep your pets company and play!
