About: I'm an animal-loving, dog mom who wants nothing more than to spend all her free time with the furry friends! I've adopted and cared for many dogs, and from childhood I helped raise my family dogs and hamsters :) Very few things bring me the same level of joy as the animals do. I know the importance of traveling or working without the stress of how your pet will be taken care of-and I'd love to help make your life easier by tending to your babies while you're away. I have a remote job which makes me very available to stop in for walks and hugs, or to spend the entire day/night with your loved ones. Have computer will travel, so I'm very free! I will always abide by your house rules for your pets and give them extra love and affection while I'm watching them. I'm also happy to do light training while with your pets if that is helpful!

About: Walks through Armstrong Redwoods are a favorite activity. I have a large yard and a dog friendly house. I have a couple of years experience working in a veterinary clinic giving me experience medicating animals, including giving injections. I have a pool for dogs who love to swim! I was a volunteer and puppy raiser for Canine Companions for Independence back in the mid to late 1980's, and a Puppy Petter for Assistance Dog Institute in the early 2000's. I've also kept busy with boarding in my home for friends and acquaintances. I love dogs!! I have Sundays and Mondays off from my full time job, but I can fit in a nice walk after 4 pm most other days. When I have someone's dog, they get my full attention; we play, exercise, snuggle. My focus is providing an enriching experience for your dog .

About: I've taken care of animals ever since I can remember, and I am grateful to have been raised around cats and dogs. It has shaped who I am as a person. I have rescued many dogs and cats (or maybe they chose me), and I have experience with training, administering medication, young pets, old pets - all of it. What sets me apart from other sitters is that I am likely the most detail-oriented person I know, and this applies to caring for my pets, as well as yours. Not only do I love my pets, but I love yours too - I love all animals. As a pet parent myself, I trust myself to do this job more than I trust anyone. I can do whatever you need me to do to reassure you that your animals are in the best of hands. I just graduated from grad school and have a LOT of free time! This is great for me, because I love animals and am excited to spend my time with them! I understand the level of trust required when leaving your pets with someone. I have cared for dogs and cats (and a few other animals!) ever since I was a child. I genuinely LOVE animals. Currently, I have two rescue Shar-Pei (the wrinkly-faced dogs), and they are the loves of my life. My approach to caring for my dogs is exactly how I would care for your animals. While your fur children are in my care, they are treated with love and respect, and care instructions will be honored to the T (no matter how long or extensive). I think the instructions I leave for our sitter are ~3 pages long, so I won't judge! I have experience with young animals and the elderly, and have administered medications for both dogs and cats. I would describe myself as a very vigilant pet parent, meaning I take pride in my awareness. For example, when walking my dogs, I always put safety first, watch for cars and other animals, and stay aware of my surroundings. I pay attention. I'm the kind of person who often checks the perimeter of my fenced yard, has multiple dog cameras, makes sure there are no ways out, and double-checks the gate locks. I know it might sound like I'm a helicopter parent, and that might just be a fact. Shar Peis are a stubborn (and amazing) breed of dog, but they notoriously require this level of attention, so I am going to credit my sweet dogs for training me to be the ultimate caretaker. Fun fact: I've had Shar Pei for the past 20 years! I'm here to meet your animals where they are when we are together - if they want to hang out, cuddle, play, and be goofy, great! But if they just want to chill on their own, I will respect their space.

About: "You're in Great Hands", is what I often tell a new client, as a Massage Therapist. I prefer the company of animals and especially dogs, to people,, so this is what I 'd like to do in addition to the above. New to Rover, (8/13/2026) not new, to caring greatly, for animals, including my own. Your dog(s), or cats will be in great, loving hands!. I know from having Papi, what a huge responsibility it is to keep him safe, while trying to have a ball with him. I offer you, the same above understanding and assurance. From looking at others profiles, the rates seem super complicated. With this added on rate and that. I'd like to keep it a little less complicated. I'm not interested in charging for a second dog, or more for a puppy. I'm not drawn to the idea of staying in someone else's house, but would be happy to /prefer checking in on your pet family, rather than spending the night. Please give me a little time to figure out how to fix rates on here better. I've been trying to get rid of the additional rates listed on my profile. For now though, I'm available to check in on your pets and/or take them for walks. Guerneville, Monte Rio, Forestville. I believe I offer a premium service, where I can focus on a few, rather than quantity. She went above and beyond taking pictures with her and playing with her and taking videos and sending them to me and giving me my daily check-ins, in addition to just the normal feeding and changing her litter box. Pepper loved her time with Lauren and I honestly think Pepper has been missing her since she is gone because she played with her so much. She is so mellow, so sweet, so friendly, so reliable and responsible, and I knew pepper was in the best of hands when I was a 6 hour plane ride away! About: I am a devoted animal person. I have had dogs and cats my whole life, and am experienced with puppies as well as senior dogs. I currently work remotely and have a flexible schedule. I am available for dog walking weekdays and some weekends. Open to special requests and needs. My home has a large doggie door which opens to large fenced in yard. Dogs come in and out as they please. Lots of play toys and special attention.

About: My name is Nicole. I have been an animal lover since I was old enough to know what animals were. Between catching potato bugs, feeding the spiders in my windowsills, and moving worms off of sidewalks, I’ve always had a particular connection with the animals that most people don’t understand. As soon as I was old enough, I marched off to the Sonoma County Animal Services to volunteer. From there, it was love at first bark. When I turned 18, I immediately went to animal care as my first real job and was lucky enough to work at Rohnert Park Animal Services for several years. I opened my home to many different rescue critters including snakes, tortoises, rats, lizards, and birds. I rescued my first dog and she is still my best friend to this day 10 years later! Over the years, I was blessed to foster many different exotic animals and worked with the Sacramento SPCA through the pandemic. Shortly after, I made a huge cross-country move and ended up in Louisiana working with all kinds of critters at Northshore Humane Society. From there, I ended up back in my hometown of Sonoma County. Throughout all of these changes, the one variable that never changed was my love for animals and passion for making sure they were safe. Through my 8+ years of shelter experience I have worked with the most feral of feral cats, wildlife brought in shoeboxes, all sizes and shapes of dogs, and so much more. I have met and befriended many pets that were reluctant to be befriended and worked with virtually every breed of cat and dog on the planet. I am fear-free certified and have extensive experience with medication management, basic first-aid, canine CPR, and basic training for both dogs and cats. I am experienced with walking large breeds including reactive dogs and can handle heavy pullers (I have TWO huskies!). I have also volunteered with the Bird Rescue Center of Sonoma County and have a special skillset with exotic animals. My two personal rescue dogs are half husky and bully breed which are two of the most misunderstood dog breeds, so there will be no breed discrimination from me. My favorite furry friends are often shy, tricky to befriend, or nervous. Making a scared baby comfortable means the world to me and I love the challenge. As stated above, I also have extensive experience caring for exotic pets including rats, mice, birds, snakes, tortoises, turtles, fish, lizards, invertebrates, and spiders. I am perfectly comfortable with your exotic pet’s diet and am familiar with feeding snakes and other reptiles frozen-thawed rodents. The only animals I won’t consider petsitting for are species that are illegal to own or venomous. If I had to summarize my truest passion, it would be making sure that every single animal feels safe and comfortable. Even if they’re not perfect, they all deserve kindness and patience. We don’t expect perfection from humans, but we so frequently expect it of animals. So if your pet is a little bit quirky or one of those types that gets dismissed as “scary” or “mean”, you’ve found a person that will give them exactly what they need to feel loved and cherished. Because no pet is perfect, but they are perfect for you. My promise to you is that I will do my best to be your baby’s new BFF.
