“Thank you so much for taking care of the kitties!!! You kept me in the loop and up to date on their status and behaviors. With both kitties having medical issues and needing special care, I appreciate the attention to detail and additional time you took to make sure everything was just right. Thank you so much!!!”

“Jacequelyn checked in on my cat the week of Christmas kind of last minute and we are so grateful for her! She gave Snowball his wet food and some attention every morning. Great job!”

About: I have so much personal experience with all different kinds of pets ranging from reptiles to cuddly puppies. I would love to gain more experience with the behavior of animals but I am very well versed in how to care for most pets. I am currently trying to make this my full time job so anybody that needs a pet sitter I’m your gal! I will love any pet as it’s my own I have a very friendly small dog if your baby ever needs company. I am very in tune to small sounds and any odd behaviors that may seem minuscule to others because I know how much animals can get themselves into a mess without meaning to. I can sing them songs when they seem scared or miss you and dance with them when they have the zoomies too.

“Emma was so great with Coco! Coco enjoyed her time with Emma while we were away for a long weekend. She was happy to see us when we returned, but I think part of her wished it was Emma walking through the doors! Thank you, Emma!”

About: Life-long dog owner and lover with experience pet sitting and walking! My dog has his trick title, and I would love to help your dog learn new things while I spend time with the little buddy. If your dog is friendly, I can even walk them together for some social time if you want! We have a lovely home with lots of toys and comfy places for your pup to hang out, crated or free roaming. I have been a foster dog parent and I have taken care of all types, from little springy poodles to plodding old beagles, to sleepy recovering collies. I have been a go-to pet sitter for friends for their large dogs, too. I swear if you ask me to I will read literal storybooks to your dogs. I will draw you mega cute portraits of your dog. I will take your dog on local adventures. Heck, I will talk to your dog about ethics if you want me to. I will try to train your dog do this trick: Me: "how's life?" Your dog: "ruff" There are infinite possibilities. Your dog and I will star in a montage where you're dog learns to play basketball. I'm so psyched to meet your dog right now. I’m reliable and I have a flexible schedule for the remainder of the summer. I spend most of the day at home, and when I’m stepping out your pup is encouraged to snuggle up on my bed. Some important requirements for dogs who stay at the house! -Dogs must be house trained -Dogs must either be happy in a crate, or trustworthy/non-destructive when not in a crate -Dogs must not show aggression towards other dogs or cats -Dogs must either be under 50 lbs OR dogs must be trained not to jump on people/put teeth on people, or pull uncontrollably on the leash I have a relaxed summer schedule and will spend much of my day with your dog! Dogs go out first thing in the am, get breakfast, have s longer walk in the afternoon, and go out before bed (please specify specific schedule needs if this doesn’t work for your little guy). Usually I incorporate some training during the evenings while we hang out at the house! Pets are generally fed morning and evening. Walks are provided periodically throughout the day. Play time happens a number of times a day, and dogs can play fetch in the yard!

About: Hi all! I’ve had years of experience with pups of my own, as well as fostering strays and ensuring they feel safe and loved for the time being. I adore dogs and building positive relationships with them. I will ensure your dog is loved and cared for and most importantly put first at all times. I’m currently working part time, but pet care seems less like a job and more of a highlight of my day! I would fit you into my schedule with planning and communication. By walking your dogs I will use the harness and leash as provided! When dropping in, I will follow the agenda left for me and follow through with it fully.

“Lisa has watched our cat Gary a bunch of times and she is absolutely wonderful. She always sends photos, lets us know how he’s doing, and is super responsive and conscientious. We couldn’t be happier to have her helping to take care of him!”

About: I’m a lifelong pet parent and animal lover, born and raised in Rhode Island. I have a 9-year-old cat who has been my baby since she was 3 months old. I also live with and care for my parents’ 4-year-old rescue dog. I have previously raised 3 dogs, and pet sat for many friends and family over the years. I even volunteered at a farm for a few summers, where I looked after everything from horses, goats, pigs, donkeys, and more. After working in higher education for 15 years, I’m pursuing a career change, and can think of nothing better than caring for others' pets! I am incredibly caring and responsible, and I love animals with all of my heart. I guarantee that your fur baby will be safe and cared for with me 🥰 I’m currently focusing on pet care as my primary profession, so my schedule is very open and flexible. I’m happy to speak with you about your needs and figure out a schedule that works best for you and your pet(s). “Wow, usually [pet’s name] NEVER goes up to strangers or lets someone new pet them!” This is something I’ve heard time and again throughout my life. I’m not saying I’m a Disney princess, but…👀 All joking aside, I do take pet care very seriously, and make sure to meet animals where they’re at, never pushing them to be best friends right away. I will use patience and gentleness to gain your pet’s trust. While I do not offer boarding services at my own home, I will treat your home and your pet’s space with the utmost care and security. I am happy to talk through what this looks like for you and your pet depending on your needs.

“Jay and Faith were absolutely wonderful! Weasley loved all of the pets and scratches he got during their visits. The updates they sent were concise and clear and let me know my baby was getting the best care while I was away! Thank you both so much!”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 5. I currently have two dogs one 8 and one 7 at my parents home where I currently live. My brother and sister in law also have two dogs 2 and 1 years old. When my parents and them travel, I am in charge of the 4 of them at my house and we are all on a routine where everything is under control and still having fun. When needed, I do go to my brothers to take them for a walk and play with them to break up their day of being in the house. I am currently part time worker, so I have more free time during the week and figured I could use my time to help out dog lovers like yourself! For dog walking, I will follow your instructions carefully to make sure your pet and yourself are satisfied with my job. I will be safe but fun at the same time making sure your pets are cared for properly.

“Jess is literally the best sitter ever! We have went through countless people and she’s the only one who I have truly felt has cared about my pup as much as I do! She’s amazing with Winnie ( my pup)! She’s flexible, accountable, and always messages updates and timely notice when she cannot come so I can figure out other plans. My dog is probably more excited to see her than me some days, would highly recommend her if she has opening!”

About: I have always had dogs growing up. They are apart of my family. There is nothing better than coming home to a wagging tail and dog kisses! I have the summer off so I am flexible as needed! I am currently working full time as a school social worker. I spend my afternoons with my dog. I love hiking and walking in the afternoons/weekends/ nights. I currently have a crate in my home. I also have a backyard that is not fenced in. I have a eskipoo puppy at home who is very friendly!

About: I’ve been passionate about caring for others (humans and other animals alike)! My wife and I have a fun, loving doggy named Kaju who is almost 2 years old. She loves to play, catch and find treats, and go on walks. We have had her since she was a young puppy and have crate/house trained her. She loves other people and dogs! I currently work from home full time as a school psychologist so I will have plenty of time and flexibility to take care of your pup! Our townhouse has an unfenced front and back yard with easy access to many neighborhoods for walks. We have plenty of long lines for safe outdoor play and potty breaks. We also have pens and crates if needed.

About: I’ve always had a family dog and walked relative’s dogs through my early teenage years. I now have my own pup who I care for each day. He enjoys very long walks and cuddles in my bed everyday. I take pride in the quality of life I provide for my animals, and I would provide the same for your animals as well. I am currently working part time. I have plenty of time to care for my own animals and make my way around caring for others who may need the help. My schedule really clears up in a few weeks so I’ll have more to provide care for anyone’s lovely pets! When in a clients house, I like to leave the house the way I found it. My goal is to provide the care needed for your fur babies, and get out. I hate to over stay my welcome. But I do appreciate people wanting the care for their dog as they are away at their own responsibilities.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats of all ages, needs and personalities since I was ten years old. My family has a history of taking care of pets from birth well into old age. My dog DJ suffered from bone cancer and I was active in his therapeutic treatments and palliative care. I’ve also raised kittens from litter into old age. My cat Madison was a diabetic and I administered his insulin shots throughout his life. I am very active and love walking and running with my dogs. As I prepare myself to enter medical school, I find myself having a flexible schedule with lots of free time! I enjoy being outside, running and walking. Also, I find that helping those with need is very important to my own sense of peace and purpose. I can offer a schedule that would be tailored to you and your pets’ individual needs on a fairly open time frame. I also am a very early riser and am looking forward to starting my day with animal caregiving. I feel that spending time with animals in-person is critical to them knowing an beginning to love, trust you as a caregiver. I enjoy walking and running with dogs. Also, I love studying/reading with an animal near me. This benefits us both and gives us a chance to understand each other individually. Routine for animals is key! I am very reliable when it comes to providing animals with the resources that they normally enjoy routinely.

They have experience with fostering dogs of different personalities, sizes, and energy levels. Their own dog has titled in tricks due to their diligent training. And they’ve successfully worked with and trained other species as well including a spicy Sun Conure! On top of their phenomenal animal skills they’re also a people person. Lia A.
“Hello. Lia is a very good candidate for Rover. She has grown up with and has been around dogs her entire life. We always had dogs in our family home. Lia knows how to take care of pets - feeding, walking, grooming and especially loving them. She always makes sure their needs are met and they are well taken care of. We live next door to family and she is the same way with their pets. Lia is also the first person to be asked to pet sit for family friends. I have no doubt Lia will, if hired, take her position at Rover very seriously and and be sure to represent the the Rover community as responsible and loving pet care providers.”

“Janice is a fantastic dog owner and caregiver. She takes every step necessary to ensure that the dogs in her care receive the proper diet, exercise, and socialization. My own dog is a skittish rescue who does not trust people easily, but she is very comfortable with Janice because of her patience and demeanor. I highly recommend her services!”
