“Emma was excellent! She is reliable and flexible when needed, and took great care of our cat while we were away. She was thorough in making sure his needs were met and communicated clearly with us throughout the weekend. We knew our cat was in good hands which means a lot :)”

“Iví was incredibly kind and communicative, and their deep love for animals was clear from the start. I truly appreciated their warmth and responsiveness, and I look forward to booking together in the future!”

“Aly was wonderful! She was very patient during the meet & greet and was not phased by the barking. She was positive and very sweet. We loved all her updates at every visit. We were encouraged to hear things improved on each visit. Our three Poms are spoiled by staying home and running around in their dances in back yard so no walking or dog parks for them. We will definitely have Aly back in the future!!”

“Kylee was attentive, on time and took great care of my cat. She was also understanding and flexible when my key didn't work for the door. I will definitely book her again, thank you!”

About: My name is Rosa, and I have years of experience living with - and caring for - dogs and cats. Currently, I live with two wondrous cats: Wallula (5 years old) and Feygele (8 months old). I believe every creature has a unique personality and story that continues to unfold with each day. I find it an absolute delight and privilege to get to know your beloved creatures' personalities - their likes and dislikes, their curiosities and opinions, their daily rituals - and to support them in feeling safe and cared for while you are away. I am an educator working in adult education during the academic year (September through May). During the academic year, I have the most flexibility for drop-in visits Friday-Monday throughout the day. That said, Tuesday-Thursday I am available before 8:30am and after 3:30pm for drop-in visits. June-August I have more availability. I would love to spend my time caring for your beloveds! I am unable to board pets at my home but I love doing drop-ins and will always treat your space respectfully and your pets' safety and well-being is number one priority.
“Maggie provided excellent cat care and house sitting. I appreciated that she fit us in last minute and accommodated our schedule around some other commitments she had. I would definitely book her again!”

“So happy I found Daniel because I know June is getting all kinds of love, attention and mental and physical exercise. He’s a real pro and clearly loves what he does.”

“We had a great experience with Lori for midday drop-ins during a busy work week! My dog is older, was recovering from surgery, and isn’t always great with strangers — so I wasn’t sure how it would go. But he warmed right up and had great fun on their visits! Lori is responsive, responsible, and great with my dog. I loved the photos of him so happy to see his new pal each day. Will definitely book again! Thanks Lori!”

“Natalie was great! Communicated with us throughout, sent lots of pictures, and wrote thoughtful, entertaining updates for each visit. We hope Natalie will be available next time our cats need a sitter!”

“Highly recommend. Abigail was very knowledgeable and thorough, from our meet-n-greet, through the 10 days of caring for our kitties while we were away. The cats clearly loved her because they would follow her around the house every visit! She did an amazing job managing their care, and also took great care of our plants.”

“Alaina was amazing! She has a wonderful calming presence and her love for animals is evident. Excellent communication and Otis loved her. I would highly recommended Alaina and we will definitely reach out again for help with Otis.”

“Nick took care of our two kitty lads perfectly, and was super attentive and communicative! One of our cats takes a pill twice a day, so we are very careful about making sure that's administered well — and Nick handled it all without a hitch. Having him help out gave us great peace of mind when we left for a last-minute trip. We will definitely hire him again!”

About: I am a speech-language pathologist in Greenfield, MA and love working with animals on the side when possible. I started dogsitting down in Rhode Island in 2014 while I was in graduate school. I've also grown up with dogs in my life (a black lab/german shepard mix and a yellow lab). I have some experience with puppy training and enjoy going on walks with and exercising dogs. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover since I can remember. I've grown up having a dog. My first dog was a black lab/German Shepard mix named Pretina. I would play with her, take her on walks, go hiking with her, and many more activities. My second family dog, Piper, was a yellow lab who I had since she was a puppy. I helped in her puppy training and have enjoyed all the previously mentioned activities with her as well. Many of my friends and extended family have also had dogs which I've enjoyed playing with and caring for. During my undergrad career, I petsat for my professor's yellow lab and thoroughly enjoyed caring for him when I was so far from my own dog. My experience administering medication I am comfortable administering medication, though I would like to be shown how to administer it and practice with the owner before sitting for the dog. I have some experience administering insulin shots to a cat. I work in schools, so I am generally available before 8am and after 3pm on weekdays during the school year. During school breaks and summer, I have more availability. I care for your dogs following client preferences. I will let dogs out into a fenced in back yard, crate when left alone at home, keep on leash for walks, etc. as indicated by owners. In general, I would default to keeping dogs on leash during walks and not letting them out on their own unless the yard is fenced in.
The median cost per visit for pet sitting in Greenfield is $23
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Greenfield
As always, five stars. We had a death in the family last week and needed last minute care for my boy so we could catch a plane, and Audrey being available was a huge relief. Perfect care, and my antisocial boy gets more socialized with every visit. It's nice to see him warming up to someone who isn't me or my boyfriend.

Ivi was great. They were very communicative with me and attentive to my two cats. My very shy kitty even came out and interacted a bit with Ivi - which I think is a clear indication of Ivi's gentleness and kind efforts with her. It was very nice knowing both my girls were in good hands with Ivi!

Rayna came in on short notice to take care of my two quirky young cats, one of whom needs medicine three times a day. She never missed a dose – – even through a snowstorm – – and sent regular reports with photos so that I knew the boys were happy and well. She’s professional, conscientious, flexible, and really easy to work with. My boys and I happily recommend her.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
