“Madeleine took care of my 4 month old Great Dane puppy. She was very attentive, very affectionate, and she was kind enough to come meet her before the service. She was very professional in her work.”

“Lynn is always great and patient with my dogs. We have used him about five times and he is always on time and really communicative. The last time we had a different sitter cancel, and he was able to fill-in last minute. This time we had trouble with our garage opener, and he was very patient as I would sometimes not realize he was already there, and he would have to wait for me. He was always really patient with me and waited to make sure the dogs were always OK. I love having Lynn taking care of the dogs because I know that they are safe.”

“Vanessa is always ready to do all things you ask, while taking care of your fur baby. Pictures and report of everything that happened while you were gone. My Figgy loves her, she is the best. Trust worthy, dependable and prompt. She is very caring, Thanks Vanessa you do not disappoint.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs since I was 12 and have been pet and house sitting for the last 10 years. I love taking energetic pups on long walks or playing fetch in a secure yard, and I’m equally comfortable creating cozy spaces for senior dogs. I have two dogs of my own (one large, one medium), and I’m experienced with administering medications—even to picky ones who need a creative touch. I’ve volunteered at animal shelters off and on since 2020 and have worked with reactive and anxious dogs who may require extra time to warm up to strangers. I love spending time with both dogs and cats, and making them feel safe, happy, and loved. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I’m a full‑time freelancer with a very flexible schedule. I’m available every day between 8 AM and 11 PM, and I can easily adjust my day to meet your pet’s needs—whether that’s a morning walk, a midday check‑in, or an evening visit. My open schedule also allows me to accommodate last‑minute bookings, so you can count on me even when plans change unexpectedly. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I stick to the routines your cats and dogs already know so they feel secure and comfortable. I follow your feeding, walking, play, and litter box instructions, keep their spaces clean, and make sure your home stays tidy and secure. I’m attentive to each pet’s personality—whether that’s a shy cat, an energetic dog, or anything in between—and I work to make every visit calm, safe, and stress‑free.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with a deep passion for caring for pets of all kinds. I’ve been a teacher for over 20 years, which means patience, attentiveness, and consistency come naturally to me—qualities that translate perfectly into caring for your furry family members. I hold a degree in zoology and have always felt a special connection with animals. Whether it’s dogs, cats, or other beloved pets, I genuinely enjoy getting to know their unique personalities and making them feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I have hands-on experience with dog and cat care, including fostering animals in need, which has given me the ability to adapt to different temperaments and situations. I’m also comfortable with light training, including basic commands and crate training for puppies or dogs who need a little extra structure and support. Your pet’s well-being is my top priority, and I treat every animal as if they were my own—with love, patience, and lots of attention. I can’t wait to meet your furry companion! I currently work from home, which allows me to provide consistent care and attention throughout the day. My mornings typically start around 7am with coffee for me and breakfast and outdoor time for the animals. I’m able to provide two walks during the workday and two additional walks after business hours, and I can be fairly flexible with my schedule to meet your pet’s needs. I have a fenced yard and a doggy door that can be kept open or closed during the day depending on your pet’s needs, and it remains closed in the evening for safety.

About: I cannot remember one time in my life that I have not had a dog. I have been fortunate enough to volunteer with Orange County animal services where I have adopted my baby Angel, ‘Pug’ 10 years ago! Today, I have 2 pugs (‘Pug’ & Meep) as well as a chihuahua mix (Beige). Through every thing that life has thrown at me my dogs have always been the light at the end of the tunnel and I truly would give my life for my dogs as a result. Any time I have free time I am bringing my three babies to my favorite dog park, lake Baldwin! I am the ultimate dog lover and I can guarantee that any pup that I am fortunate enough to care for will get every bit of my love and attention. Fur babies deserve nothing less. This is truly my dream job I do work from home so I am able to guarantee 100% supervised care for your pet for their entire stay. When my day gets started, my puppies day also get started with morning meals and morning walks. Afternoons consists of play time, sometimes baths, and a night meal before a final walk before bed. I live in a 3 bedroom home where my puppies have free rein of the living room, kitchen and hallways. It’s a one big happy family environment with lots of toys and room to play.
“Elizabeth was incredible as always! We hope to never have to book another care giver for our fur baby. She always goes over the top in care and we are so grateful!”

“This was our first time leaving our dog with a sitter and Yvonne made us feel completely comfortable. She came ahead of time to meet our girls and get to know them bit. While we were gone, we received regular status updates and pictures. She took them for walks and they even spent some time in the yard playing in the hose...one of their favorite things! I will definitely book with them again and highly recommend their service.”

About: It was obvious from the time I was a little girl that I had a special connection with animals. I used to visit my grandmother as a child and pretend I was a dog trainer. We always had pets growing up. In 2006 after spending years in retail management I saw a sign on a car advertising pet sitting services. I knew that was my calling and soon started my own business. I have many clients and references. Pets are family and should be treated as such. I offer a home environment and lots of TLC.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was little. I grew up with 2 dogs and 2 cats. I also have a pet bunny so exotic pets don’t bother me either. I’ve always been relied on to care for animals when needed for walking and feeding. This is a side hustle until I figure out what i’d like to do since i’ve graduated high school! Availability is pretty much open regardless. I’ll follow any and all rules to make sure you and your fur baby are comfortable and well taken care of. Willing to do anything to help ease some stress.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 40 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Green Pond. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
