About: I am experienced, responsible, friendly and loved by pets of all ages. Get reliable pet sitting from someone who’s raised a Westie and wrangled puppies. I live and work locally in Lakeland. Available for midday walks and sitting evenings/weekends. I am happy to provide snuggles, walks, park trips, feeding and treats. I previously worked in a pet store providing care for puppies and I currently have a 12 year old Westie. She is very friendly & loves to play with other animals.
“Thank you Amber for doing amazing Job with Chloe. She was well loved and we know you took great care with her and thanks for doing the extras in our home! I would recommend using her. She’s a fantastic dog sitter! Jim Bechtel”

“Miriah did a great job looking after our cats while we were away on vacation, cleaning the litter box with the pine pellet system we use, cleaning the water fountain and changing the filters. Our cats are scared of people and hide, but she tried to find them and take pictures for us every time she went, and gave us updates. Thanks Miriah!”

“Shawnee is wonderful! Knowing she was taking care of our cat while we were away gave us peace of mind and seeing her updates and photos made our trip so much smoother. We will absolutely be booking Shawnee again in the future (and recommending her to our pet-parent friends)!”

“My boys were well taken care of and I got some cute photos on my trip for peace of mind. Her response time was excellent and I didn’t have a second of worry about my boys. I was able to enjoy my vacation with the knowledge my kitties were shown love and care the whole time. Will definitely book again.”

“Pennie was very professional at our meet & greet. Sent pictures of both my cats with updates. She also did additional things for me—getting mail & watering tomato plant.”

“Ruth did an amazing job caring for my dogs. They can be difficult with one being just a puppy and the other being older and very nervous but she did an excellent job making sure they were taken care of.”
“Shannon is not only a pet sitter. She gets to know you and your pets before even starting!! She became a friend and made me feel so comfortable while I was away!! Thanks Shannon :)”

“Our cats were very well taken care of by Vanessa. She was able to drop in last minute, voiced any concerns quickly, and even made us feel great about our home. 10/10 would recommend!”

“She was so good with the fur babies!! She sent me pictures and let me know every time she was there. So polite and such a sweet person and loves the animals! Hire her!! You won’t regret it!!!”

“Sunni is an angel and I am extremely grateful for all her help! The fact that my shy cat came out during her visits tells me a lot about how kind of a person she is! I would not hesitate to request her again and I absolutely recommend her for anyone wanting first-class care for their fur babies! Thank you Sunni!”

About: I picked up bride and grooms dogs from their homes and brought them to their weddings to get in the photos and ceremony while making sure the dog was taken care of and under control then brought back home. I work a rotating schedule so every week I have different availability, but I always have mornings off so I can cover any morning any time. Flexible and communicative. I am always careful of the food my pets consume and making sure they are fed on a schedule while also never too lonely or without playing for too long.
About: I’ve walked dogs around my neighborhood for the past four years. I have lots of experience with animals— I personally have many different animals such as dogs, cats, and others! I’ve had experience in the veterinary field and want to pursue the veterinary field and become a licensed veterinarian! I am free for whenever is needed! I am hoping to head over to college soon but in the mean time work up some cash! I have been walking dogs around my own neighborhood around four years now. I treat the animals week, in which they are safe and happy!
“Alberto was wonderful! Warm, friendly, fantastic with my dogs and extremely knowledgeable with tons of experience. He is very trustworthy, professional and easy to communicate with. He showed up when scheduled and my dogs loved getting to spend time with him---plus he brought treats! I highly recommend!”
About: Dog sitting is more than a job for me- it’s a passion! I’ve spent time with dogs of all sizes, from tiny Terriers to gigantic Great Danes. I’m not just your average sitter; I bring a knack for understanding doggy body language, a talent for getting even the pickiest pups to swallow their pills, and I always carry a bag full of treats (of course!). Whether your dog needs a running buddy, a snuggle partner, or just someone to toss the ball again and again- I’ve got it covered. I pride myself on keeping tails wagging and owners stress free, knowing their fur babies are in the best hands. Since pet sitting is my primary job and I’m currently a college student, my schedule is quite flexible. I can easily incorporate pet care into my daily routine, offering plenty of time for walks, play sessions, and any special needs your dog may have. My evenings and weekends are also free, so I can provide consistent care and attention throughout the week. Safety and trust are crucial when caring for pets in your home. I make sure to follow your specific instructions to the letter, from feeding routines to exercise needs. I will keep your home secure by ensuring all doors and gates are closed and never leave your pet unattended in potentially hazardous situations. I also maintain a clean and organized environment, respecting your space and belongings. Your pet’s well-being is my utmost concern, and I strive to provide the same level of care and attention that you would.
About: I’ve had a dog since I was a little kid. I also have watched dogs for my friends. My two oldest daughters head off to college this August. My youngest daughter, she will be 12 in September, loves all animals, but especially dogs. I am looking for a way to have more dogs in our house for my daughter to play with. We have one dog, Marley. However, my mom lives next door and she has two dogs, Daisy and Zoe. They visit often. But when we are watching other dogs, they will not visit. Our goal is to provide a fun, safe environment for your pup while you are away. I am able to watch your fury family member any weekend during the school year or June/July over the summer. I am not available: July 6-9 After July 30, I am back at school. I am available to watch your fury family member Friday (after 3:30) until Sunday evening (anytime.) I have a pool for them to swim in and and fully fenced in area around my house. I have about 40 acres we can take leashed walks on if you would like. We do have a few cows and a horse on the extended acreage. My lab/beagle mix loves to play with dogs. She plays well with both small and large dogs.

About: My family has had a golden since I was born and I was always entrusted to take responsibility of my latest dog Punkin! Apart from that I have watched and walked neighbor and family friends' dogs! I have experience dealing with dogs on strict diets and certain walking schedules. I also have experience with taking care of senior dogs. All deserve the same love and respect no matter the type or breed. I have started college back up again YAY! my schedule allows a good amount of freedom after 12 pm but I also have a work study and will update this text when my daily work schedule comes out. At this moment I am free anytime after 11 or 12 pm on the weekdays and after 9am on the weekends until further notice!! I have experience regarding crating the dog. I have no dogs at the moment at my house and currently am not offering services at my house. I always provide a good amount of play time and long walks for each pet but make sure they are comfortable with my presence first.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Combee Settlement
Ruth was such a blessing! Leaving my baby, Geralt, for a month was incredibly stressful, but from our very first conversation she immediately put my mind at ease. She answered all my questions, took the time to meet Geralt beforehand, and went above and beyond caring for both him and my home. Knowing he was so well loved and cared for made all the difference. I highly recommend Ruth, she is amazing and I’ll definitely rebook her again to care for Geralt. Thank you Ruth!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Combee Settlement. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
