I miss those days when someone’s word was the weight of gold, when honesty really was the best policy, when you could leave your front door unlocked or your bicycle leaning against a tree. The only thing that still gives me hope is the unconditional, unwavering love and loyalty of our furry best friends, and I think having dogs in our lives keeps us from becoming our worst selves. Dogs embody positivity, joy, and are mirrors for their human counterparts, so they give what you put in. I’ve always had animals in my life and I couldn’t imagine it any other way. I’m currently a mom to two adorable pups, three cats, and a special needs iguana. My friends joke I’m living in an animal farm, but I cherish each and every soul––some of my pets were surrendered to me by friends and family who could no longer take care of them. Not everyone can provide the attention and care that our animals deserve.I’ve also had experience with birds (including chickens), rabbits, guinea pigs, turtles, and tropical fish. My schedule is flexible and adaptable to the needs of my clients. I pride myself in providing excellent customer service by being punctual, clear and open with all communication, and having respect for your pet’s health and safety as well as your personal belongings and property. I know it’s not easy to leave your beloved animals and home in the hands of a total stranger, but I have a spotless record with a lot of different families who are not only my clients but have become friends. For many years, I’ve helped family and friends take care of their pets while they were out of town, some elderly dogs needing medications administered to them multiple times a day. I have some general grooming skills but not on a professional level––mostly shave downs and some nail clipping if the pet tolerates it. Trust and respect are two qualities I value most in others and in myself, so your beloved pup and home will be in very capable, kind hands. I really adore getting to know each individual dog because they all have their own personalities and unique quirks. I have an easygoing, positive demeanor and I’ve never met a dog who didn’t immediately take a liking to me. I have experience with all breeds, ages, and sizes, so I have no preferences. I’m just happiest when I’m surrounded by animals. It seems like everyone here is a world-class athlete who can climb mountains during their lunch hour, but alas, I’m just a normal woman who likes to go on leisurely walks and enjoys fresh air. So I won’t be taking your pup on some heart-thumping expedition, but we will definitely go on many strolls around the neighborhood or to a dog park for fun, then come back and enjoy some snuggle time.
