“Stephanie was phenomenal! She was so sweet to our boy while we were on vacation. Our Great Pyrenees, Brodie, recently lost his furry brother and we were worried about leaving him because he has been lonely. Stephanie took such great care of him and spent time with him so we didn’t have a worry in the world. I HIGHLY recommend her for any of your pet sitting needs!!”

“Merit was absolutely wonderful! She took excellent care of Bramble and Ash while we were away and went above and beyond in every way. She was incredibly attentive, made sure we received photos every visit (even when our shy cats were hiding!), and kept us updated throughout our trip. She even brought in our mail and left everything neat for us when we got home. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our cats were in such caring hands. We would happily book with Merit again and highly recommend her!”

About: For several years I took care of my friends dog Koda while living with my friend. My friend was busy in graduate school and working part time, so she asked me take care of Koda in the mornings and evenings when she could not make it home in time. That included walking Koda and feeding Koda. Those responsibilities grew to taking Koda to the vet when necessary. I learned a lot about dogs, and I am able to handle taking care of dogs. Safety is the most important thing when taking care of a dog. My schedule is flexible. I would prefer at least 2 days notice for scheduling purposes. I am available throughout the day seven days a week. I would ask the client what is important when taking care of a pet in their home. Does the pet have any allergies? Do they have any health problems I should be aware of?

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
