“Shannon was very communicative and kind. She was on time everyday, sent multiple photos. Her response time was quick for any of my messages! I’d rebook in a heartbeat for her to care for Morris and Suki again.”

About: I’ve had pets growing up my entire life! The level of personal care I give every animal sets me apart. I don’t just feed and walk your pets — I take time to understand their routines, personalities, and quirks so they feel safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply quiet companionship, I tailor my care to match what each pet needs most. I treat every furry friend like my own, keeping you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is in loving, reliable hands. I’m a stay at home mom and I’m home pretty much everyday. So I have plenty of time and energy to play with your pet! When your pet stays with me, they’re treated like part of the family. My home is safe, welcoming, and full of love, and each pet gets the individual attention they deserve. We make sure every animal feels comfortable, happy, and cared for. • Family Time & Play: Your pet enjoys playtime, cuddles, and fun activities with all of us. • Feeding & Health: I follow your pet’s routine, including meals and medications, to keep them healthy and comfortable. • Exercise & Adventure: Dogs enjoy walks, yard play, and indoor games, while cats and smaller pets get enriching activities tailored just for them. • Comfort & Safety: Your pet will have cozy spaces to rest and feel secure with our family. I have a huge backyard for play and plenty of room inside our home. . Pet Care At Clients Home: When I take care of pets in your home, my goal is to provide love, attention, and consistency while respecting your pet’s routine. I treat your home and pets as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, happy, and comfortable. • Updates for You: We love sending photos and messages so you can see your pet thriving while you’re away. My goal is to make sure every pet in my home feels loved, safe, and happy—just like they would with their own family.
“Jennifer went above and beyond when taking care of Arlo, by not only ensuring he was fed but that he had enough play time and attention while I was gone. I would recommend booking her if you need someone reliable and with flexibility. Plus, she'll take a lot of cute photos of your pet!”

“Kaitlyn is super reliable and easy to work with! I adopted my puppy and was REALLY feeling the puppy blues. Having an extra set of hands to drop in during the day while I am at work is such a massive relief. I can’t recommend Kaitlyn enough”

“Jacquelyn was the perfect cat sitter! She handled everything with my cats perfectly and kept me updated with pictures and a message after each visit. We will definitely turn to Jacquelyn again the next time we need someone to watch our cats.”

“Laura walked Paisley while I left for a quick overnight trip, and was so helpful! She took such great care of Paisley while I was gone and was very communicative, leaving me absolutely nothing to worry about. I will absolutely be asking Laura to walk Paisley again in the future!”
About: As Adoption Coordinator for the Oahu SPCA, I've seen it all. I've cared for dogs and cats in a clinical setting, as a foster, owner, and sitter for many years. I've found homes for countless animals in a rescue setting. And more than anything, I want your pet to feel safe and happy when their loving family is away. I work for myself from home, so my schedule is flexible and I can spend lots of quality time with your baby. Your pet will have no shortage of attention, snuggles, quality time and exercise. Dogs love routine- whether they're staying with me or at your house. Waking up at the same time each morning makes certain they get the ya-ya's out and don't have to wait to go potty. Puppies and older dogs with more urgent bladder needs will of course be accomodated with extra supervised trips outside and puppy pads if needed. I'm very conscious that there are no animal-toxic foods/plants/fragrances left out for pets to get into. You can rest assured your pet will be fed the proper amounts, medicines, and brands of your choice to protect their digestive system. My home offers a big beautiful bike path on the river, where your pet will get tons of good walks and a big house to explore. For cats, I have a large but contained space for them to roam and also find seclusion without getting lost. Their litter box will stay in the same spot every time so they know where to go, and they will always have fresh litter. I would love to play with them so bring their favorite toys! No other pets are in the home as all of our babies passed of old age. Adult family members share the home, so there is extra help. No kiddos are in the home so no concerns there. If in your home, I'm very diligent about making sure doors are secure and locked so pets don't escape. I always know where your pet is and make sure their environment is calm and quiet.
“Ciara was the absolute BEST. My cats warmed up to her very nicely, she took perfect care of them and her communication can't be beat. You can tell she's a real animal lover, she always made sure to interact with each of my cats and give them attention. She's definitely become my go to!”

“Jenna was wonderful, she took notes when she came over to meet my kittens, she listened and provided great care while I was away. Her notes and pics put my mind at ease knowing they were well taken care of. Will book her again”

“Emma was fabulous in taking care of my boys! She was even able to get my stubborn kitty to take more of his meds than I could, no small feat. She was great about providing updates and following complex care instructions.”

“Elisabeth took incredible care of my cat while I was away! I got plenty of photos and she was even kind enough to give in to his daily demands to be brushed. It was such a relief to know he was well taken care of while I was gone for two weeks. Elisabeth was able to step in and extend her visits when my return trip was delayed for a day. Highly recommended!”

“Christine was very reliable to watch our 2 cats. Both cats became increasingly trusting of her and she sent us great pictures. She was communicative, proactive and we would trust her to take care of our cats again.”

About: Ive had three cats and two dogs in my life. Currently I have two cats and they are my world. In many instances I've had a cat or dog that doesn't like anyone besides family come up and become my new best friend. Also have been trusted to watch multiple friends animals while on vacation because they loved our time together more than anyone else. During the week it would be a drop in sitting with minimal overnight stays after work. Which means its not out the question but not consistent. Weekends I have more flexibility for overnight stays. My cats are indoors, fed a heathly diet, and stimulated. While at the clients house its dependent on the type of animal and if the animal requires special care.
About: I have take care of dogs and cats since I can remember. I’ve always had family pets that I looked after. Recently I started to pet sit professionally and have looked after pets with all manners of personalities and needs. I am currently working full time with a hybrid schedule. Monday through Wednesday in the office and Thursday through Friday remote. I am free every weekend and anytime after 5pm. Because each pet parent is unique and has their own ways to raise and care for their pets I strictly adhere to their rules and guidelines. That includes areas they have their pets walk and house rules for those that request house sitting.
“I’m so happy that I found Karen! She did a wonderful job taking care of my two cats. She sent so many photos and really made me feel comfortable leaving them in her care.”

“Christopher did a wonderful job taking care of our kitties while we were gone. We entrusted him to look after everything and we could not be more satisfied. We will definitely be reaching out to him again next time we go away.”

“I was worried about using the app service because I had never used it before and I had never left my cats with anyone they didn't know but Hannah was so loving to them and gave my furbabies tender, love and care she was very professional and had great communication with me and she sent me cute pictures of them they were in good hands I will definitely be reaching out to her agian in the future.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Grandyle Village. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
