Kaitlyn did a wonderful job for us taking care our our lab Betsy while we were on an all day tour of Niagara Falls. She was very professional, great communication and awesome with followup on the times we had specified our dog to be let out...Would absolutely use Kaitlyn again anytime we are back in the area.

Shannon was excellent taking care of my kitties. She went above and beyond in caring for my cats. Shannon sent photos daily and on occasion videos. One video was one of my cats rubbing against her. I had no worries or concerns with Shannon. I was having problems getting and receiving text and emails When she didn’t hear from me, Shannon touched base with my son as requested. I will certainly use Shannon in the future and would recommend her as well.

About: I don’t just watch pets, I care for them like they’re my own. My King Charles Cavalier Spaniel taught me how meaningful the bond between people and their pets can be, and it’s one of the reasons why I treat every animal with patience, affection, and individualized care. With years of experience, a flexible schedule, and a true passion for animals, you can trust that your pet will receive plenty of love, attention, and companionship while you’re away. 🐶🐱💕 I work full-time, but pet sitting fits well into my weekly schedule because I’m intentional about making time for it. I only take on bookings I can fully commit to, so every pet gets the attention, care, and reliability they deserve. Mornings, evenings and weekends are open as well as during lunch hours during the work week. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my priority is making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved in their familiar environment. I follow your pet’s routine closely, including feeding, walks, medications (if needed), playtime, and lots of attention. I also treat your home with respect, keep things clean and secure, and provide updates, pictures and videos so you can feel at ease while you’re away. I've cared for pets with a variety of personalities, from energetic and playful to shy or anxious, and I adapt my approach to each pet's individual needs.

Kendra was excellent. Pleasant, friendly, and my dog was happy and content. I was staying overnight at a hotel and only needed her for a few hours. Many turned me down. Kendra was comfortable with it and we made a plan to meet in the lobby. Life saver. Thanks Kendra!

Ciara goes above and beyond when taking care of my boys. From her detailed check ins assuring me all is okay to her genuine care and enthusiasm for animals, she is by far the best sitter I have had (and I’ve had many!). I can enjoy going away because I know the boys are in good hands and my place is taken care of. She is also just lovely and has a great attitude. Cannot recommend her enough!!!

About: As Adoption Coordinator for the Oahu SPCA, I've seen it all. I've cared for dogs and cats in a clinical setting, as a foster, owner, and sitter for many years. I've found homes for countless animals in a rescue setting. And more than anything, I want your pet to feel safe and happy when their loving family is away. I work for myself from home, so my schedule is flexible and I can spend lots of quality time with your baby. Your pet will have no shortage of attention, snuggles, quality time and exercise. Dogs love routine- whether they're staying with me or at your house. Waking up at the same time each morning makes certain they get the ya-ya's out and don't have to wait to go potty. Puppies and older dogs with more urgent bladder needs will of course be accomodated with extra supervised trips outside and puppy pads if needed. I'm very conscious that there are no animal-toxic foods/plants/fragrances left out for pets to get into. You can rest assured your pet will be fed the proper amounts, medicines, and brands of your choice to protect their digestive system. My home offers a big beautiful bike path on the river, where your pet will get tons of good walks and a big house to explore. For cats, I have a large but contained space for them to roam and also find seclusion without getting lost. Their litter box will stay in the same spot every time so they know where to go, and they will always have fresh litter. I would love to play with them so bring their favorite toys! No other pets are in the home as all of our babies passed of old age. Adult family members share the home, so there is extra help. No kiddos are in the home so no concerns there. If in your home, I'm very diligent about making sure doors are secure and locked so pets don't escape. I always know where your pet is and make sure their environment is calm and quiet.

About: Ive had three cats and two dogs in my life. Currently I have two cats and they are my world. In many instances I've had a cat or dog that doesn't like anyone besides family come up and become my new best friend. Also have been trusted to watch multiple friends animals while on vacation because they loved our time together more than anyone else. During the week it would be a drop in sitting with minimal overnight stays after work. Which means its not out the question but not consistent. Weekends I have more flexibility for overnight stays. My cats are indoors, fed a heathly diet, and stimulated. While at the clients house its dependent on the type of animal and if the animal requires special care.

About: I’ve cared for dogs for many years growing up as I had family pets and other families pets. As a patient care assistant and nursing student, I’m attentive, responsible, and comfortable providing individualized care. I understand the importance of maintaining routines, ensuring pets feel safe and comfortable, and providing plenty of exercise, playtime, and affection. Whether your pet needs walks, feeding, companionship, or extra patience, I’ll treat them like family. I work part-time while attending school, which allows me flexibility for pet care. I make time each day for walks, feeding, playtime, and companionship. I communicate regularly with pet owners and can provide updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is receiving excellent care while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any special care requests. I pay close attention to pets’ behavior and needs and strive to create a calm, positive environment. As someone with healthcare experience, I understand the importance of being observant, dependable, and prepared for unexpected situations.

About: I have experience taking care of pets, as I have owned a dog myself. I've worked in animal care most of my career, working for institutions such as The Buffalo Zoo, Hidden Valley Animal Adventure, Pet Supplies Plus, dog kennels, etc. I love being around animals, and intend to do so the rest of my life! I'm currently working as a personal trainer at Catalyst Fitness, so I am needed when clients have training sessions. However, this will never extend for more than a few hours (at most maybe 4-5) at a time. So even if I need to go to a training session(s), I can be right back to take care of the animals afterwards! I can constantly provide your pets with enrichment. Whether that be through walking, playing, or just general outside time. I love nature/the environment, so I love getting outdoors. So if that's what your pets enjoy I can absolutely provide! However, I realize animals have a wide spectrum of emotions and preferences, so I am very flexible to provide whatever is best for your pets!

Jacqueline is a wizard. An animal whisperer. My dog is a ball of anxiety and my cat is a recluse and she was able to win both of their hearts. She was very flexible and always on time for each drop in (except the afternoon on Sunday during the Bills game which is acceptable. Go Bills!)

As of July 2026, there are 467 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Sandy Beach. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sandy Beach. On Rover:

  • 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 90% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
