The Best Care for Your Best Friendcharleston, SC

COVID19 UPDATE: At this time I am accepting reservations for boarding and drop ins.

Hello! my name is Kelly and I am excited to offer exclusive, affordable & safe alternatives for your furbaby's care.

==>Below are my most popular services (but not limited to) that I offer:<==

---------------------

* DROP INS*

---------------------

Drop Ins are perfect for pet parents who work long days or are out of town. I will come to your house and drop in on your pet for a 30 minute visit. Activities during each visit are custom and based on your pet's needs. Examples include a walk, brushing, feeding, litter scooping, backyard playtime and more. I can also help with any reasonable accident cleanup or request. I will follow your specific instructions for your pet's care while taking pictures/video to send you during my drop in.

-----------------------------

*WEDDING NANNY*

-----------------------------

Getting married and want to include your furbaby in your special day? I can help! I can handle your dog during your photography session with the photographer, and encourage good poses with treats. I can help your dog pose for your photos and attend to all your dogs needs throughout the day. If your dog is in the wedding ceremony, I will coordinate with you or your wedding planner to determine the best solution for a smooth walk down the aisle for your pup and the transition afterwards. Before, during and after your ceremony I will take pictures/video of your pet and will provide to you via text. I can also be available for the wedding rehearsal. My rate also includes transportation for your pup back to your home/hotel/airbnb after the ceremony within 10 miles of the wedding venue. For transportation beyond a 10 mile radius, there will be a $3/per mile additional fee.

My rate for this service is $75 per hour.

----------------------------------

*PET TAXI CONCIERGE*

----------------------------------

Busy schedule and need help with an appointment for your pet? I can safely transport your dog to the vet, groomers or anywhere within reason. I can also return them home. For those needing extra care, I can stay during their grooming or vet appointment and assist with pick up of medication/supplies etc. Please contact me for a custom quote.

---------------------------

*DOG BOARDING*

---------------------------

Your pet will feel like they're going to Aunt Kelly's house because they will be treated like family while they are on vacay with me. My goal is to ensure your dog is safe, comfortable and engaged while in my care.

Currently, I can accommodate furbabies up to 40 pounds. This ensures that your pet will be in a safe environment with similarly sized guests. Guest spaces are limited so that your dog will receive the attention they need & deserve.

My home is very clean, smoke free and located in a safe neighborhood in a golfing community. There are two friendly pets in my home: my calico cat Bella and my dachshund Stella. My home is two stories and a spacious 2012 sq. ft.

I work mostly from home so your pet will have lots of supervision. So that you can keep up with your furbaby's vacay I will send you daily text & picture updates of their adventures!

---------------------

*ABOUT ME*

---------------------

I have love & respect for all animals, big and small, cuddly to scary. My favorite nonprofit is Keeper of the Wild & I donate annually. I have worked with animals my entire life growing up with cows, chickens, dogs, cats, bunnies, a pet duck and squirrel. Additionally, my mom and I have experience rescuing feral kittens, domesticating them and finding them homes. We have also worked with Pet Helpers with their trap, neuter, & release program for adult feral cats. Therefore, I also specialize in feline care. If you need a cat sitter, please contact me:)

Growing up I had three pet dogs from the time I was born until I moved out of my parent's home after college. Because of this I have experience with young pups to senior dogs. I have also volunteered at the Doc Williams SPCA. During my time as a volunteer I adopted a Pomeranian mix that was scheduled to be euthanized after being labeled "aggressive" and "un-adoptable." With time and unconditional TLC he became a lap dog and one of the "cats" :) He was a blessing in my life for ten years and can be seen in several of the pictures on my profile.

If you are vacationing in Charleston, most hotels don't allow dogs and kennels do not provide the family care and attention your dog deserves, so why not have your dog stay with Aunt Kelly? If you're flying out of town my home is located 15 minutes from the airport.

---------------------——

* PICKUP/DROPOFF*

---------------------——

* HOLIDAYS*

---------------------

Animal lover- Large fenced in yardSummerville, SC

I love all types of animals. My pets are my family and I will treat yours as family as well. I have 2 dachshunds, one cat, one umbrella cockatoo and a ball python. I have experience in all kinds of animals at all ages, including puppies/kittens and senior dogs. I volunteer at the Charleston Animal Society, fostering kittens and puppies, so I have experience with sick kittens/puppies as well. My animals get along with all other animals whether cat, dog, bird or reptile. I have a large fenced in yard (about a half acre); I will go outside with your dog(s) about every 4 hours to let them do their business and play. I stay outside with them the entire time to make sure everyone gets along and no one tries to escape.

I have experience with dogs who do not get along with others. I have the means to keep them separated if need be. If your dog does not get along with others, please contact me, I can help you.

For drop -in visits on cats - I do not agree with doing 13$ per cat. Therefore it is 13$ for the first cat and 2$ for each extra cat.* Just choose the extra dog option instead while setting up a booking, as rover does not supply an extra cat option at this moment.

If you’re checking out this profile, then you’ve come to the right place. Your pooch will feel right at home in “La Casa de Campbell.” My husband, Tom, and I like to consider our home a “Four Paw Resort.” Here your pooch is treated like the VIP they truly are. We like to think of ourselves as the ultimate vacation spot for your furbaby as well as their home away from home.

When your furbaby stays with us, they will enjoy:

• 24/7 care

• FREE snacks (Ex: milk bones, bacon chews, etc)

• Frequent rubs

• Fresh, cool water to drink daily

• A doggy door so they can go outside as much as they want

• Fun toys to play/chew on

• A big, comfy doggy bed to sleep/relax on (We also provide clean blankets)

• Constant supervision (If Tom & I both briefly have to step out, we have security cameras in and outside the house. We can check on your pet from our smartphones. In fact, we do it with our own dog)

• A spacious yard with a concrete wall to safely roam freely.

• Walks in a safe neighborhood with sidewalks

----------------------------------

WHAT YOU GET

----------------------------------

• Peace of mind knowing that your pooch is in good hands (We are a fully insured business through Pet Sitters Associates LLC)

• A sitter who's been educated on pet first aid/CPR through the American Red Cross

• Flexibility (Plane delayed? Trip extended? Traffic delay? Emergency? I can adapt to your schedule)

• Regular photos/videos of your pooch enjoying his/her STAYCATION at La Casa de Campbell

• Rapid Response (Have a question? Need to reach me while your pet is in my care? My phone is ALWAYS on me)

----------------------------------

EXPERIENCE THAT COUNTS

----------------------------------

My husband and I know a thing or two about taking care of pets, too. Until March 9, 2018, we believe we owned the oldest dog in the Lowcountry, possibly even the state of South Carolina. He was a 20-year-old Dalmatian named Scootie. He was given top-notch care until the very end. We presently own an adorable rescue dog named Bandit (half Chihuahua/half Miniature Pincher). Bandit thinks he's human. He sleeps on his back, prefers people food and loves to wear clothes. In early 2017, he was voted "Lowcountry's Cutest Pet" by the Post & Courier, so he's a celebrity of sorts, and he knows it! In late September 2018, we began fostering an older Dalmatian named Sarge. He is a rescue dog.

I grew up on a farm in the sticks of Berkeley County. So from cows to pigs to chickens, I've had a variety of pets over the years. Tom isn't as much a country bumpkin as I am. He had the usual pets growing up--dogs and even a cat named "Boo Boo Kitty." (Seriously, that was the cat's name.)

----------------------------------

CONSTANT SUPERVISION

----------------------------------

Because Tom and I are both self-employed, we spend the majority of our time working from home. Sixty percent of the time, your dog will have two "critter sitters" carefully looking after them. The other 30 percent of the time, myself, or Tom, will keep a close eye on your pooch. The remaining 10 percent of the time when Tom and I both have to briefly step out, we'll check on them from our smartphones. We have surveillance cameras in and outside of our home. We are high tech like that :-)

----------------------------------

UNDIVIDED ATTENTION

----------------------------------

We are way better than a kennel because we limit our pet intake and dogs are never caged/crated (unless the dog's owner requests it.. SEE BELOW FOR MORE DETAILS). We believe that your dog deserves lots of 1-on-1 time. Limiting our dog intake for the most part also allows us to give your dog the best experience possible. We generally board no more than *3 dogs at a time and leave 2 spots available for daycare. Depending on when you book, your pup could very well be the only one in our care.

*PLEASE BE AWARE: On rare occasions, but particularly around a holiday, we may exceed our limit due to a client who may need to extend the stay of their pet or a regular client who needs a last minute sitter. Our house will never be a "zoo," but if this is an issue for you, we wish you the best of luck in your sitter search. I can assure you, however, other sitters face similar situations at times. For the sake of transparency, we are upfront about it. 90% of the time, we stay within our limit or less.

----------------------------------

OUR HOME

----------------------------------

My husband and I live in a spacious 1.5 story home with a big backyard in the Woodland Lakes subdivision located in the heart of Goose Creek. We sit adjacent to Goose Creek City Hall and the Goose Creek Police Department. When your pet stays with us, you can rest easy knowing he/she is in a safe, nice neighborhood.

----------------------------------

OUR BACKGROUNDS

----------------------------------

Before our 2016 New Year's Eve wedding, Tom and I used to work together for several years at a local TV station in the Charleston area. My background is in journalism and his is in IT and engineering. Tom also has his own IT company. He left the TV station in 2016 to focus on his company full time. I have my own PR company as well as manage a popular Lowcountry news site. Tom and I are both very active in our communities, too. He is a longtime member of The Exchange Club of Charleston. I'm a wish granter for Make-A-Wish. I'm also a reserve deputy sheriff for a nearby county.

I am reliable, attentive and affectionate to all of my furry clients. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! I’ll run with your dog!Charleston, SC

I grew up with dogs and currently have a very friendly senior dog that I’ve had for over 17 years! I’m happy to take your dog on a daily walk and can even take them on a run upon request!

They are also welcome in my home, my husband and I are both dog lovers. However, we cannot accept extremely high energy dogs as our Harvey is not as steady on his feet as he once was. Although, we’re happy to do a meet and greet to ensure compatibility. We have a large home with a huge fenced in back yard in a dog friendly neighborhood. They will get plenty of exercise using our doggy door to run around in our back yard, go on daily walks with our dog and I can take them running with me upon request.

I work from home during the summer and I’m also available most weekends!

Retired Vet Tech & Cert Dog TrainerSummerville, SC

As a vet tech for over 15 years and a certified professional dog trainer for 12 years I can help your furry loved ones feel safe and secure. My two collies, Jackson and Ronan and Wire Fox Terrier, Augusta would love to keep your pet company. My house is pet safe and we have a doggie playground including sunning platforms, a tunnel, a barrel and a balance beam in our very shady securely fenced backyard. I would be happy to medicate or care for any needs your pet may have. If you have any training issues you would like addressed I can help in that way as well. I have never met a dog I didn't love. If your dog has special needs I will find a way to meet them. My husband built a ramp for handicapped pups. I stay at home with the dogs except for short trips to the store, etc. I pay close attention to each pet so they spend their time doing what they like; playing in the yard, following me around, sitting in my lap, laying in the sun, splashing in the pool or playing fetch... my house is divided into zones with baby gates so that no one gets bullied and everyone gets to rest. I am confident that I can meet you and your pets needs!
