About: I’ve done neighborhood dog care in high school for 2 years and in college occasionally take care of my friends cats while they are away. I’m a full time student at Cal but my classes are all during the morning so afternoons and evenings I am normally available to go for walks, feed, or play with pets. On drop off, she took our pup R on a quick walk to get her away from us (later, she told us that that's better than having a specific goodbye), and R trotted after her happily. We got some photos and reports during the day, and at pickup time, R was glad to see us, but also went back to Michelle for some petting before we left. We are planning to leave R with Michelle for boarding during our summer holiday.”

About: I’m a Fear Free Certified Professional, currently studying animal behavior. I’ve been running my own home based doggy daycare and boarding house for four years. My care is crate-free (unless that's what your pup's preferred at-home routine is,) with regular group outings to trails and the beach. About: I have three years experience boarding dogs. They get out twice a day and everyone's food needs are taken care of. The dogs play in my living room and sleeping arrangements vary on the dog. I understand that these amazing creatures are a part of your family. I don't take that for granted. I am committed to keeping the pups entertained, loved and safe. Dogs can be unpredictable. I have chased dogs who have slipped their leashes for miles around the neighborhood. I have broken up fights. Carried a 55 pound pitbull who went into anaphylactic shock 4 blocks to my car and raced her to the vet. I've spit in dogs noses to save them from a foxtail (it works by the way). When you drop off your dog at my house rest assured you're getting someone who will do everything they can to keep them happy, and safe.

I have been bringing my Labrador to Nik and Jessica for years and have referred several people to them who have become regulars. Jessica and Nik have two dogs at their own and our lifelong dog lovers and experienced care providers. A number of things set them apart, starting with being just a few blocks away from Oakland’s best dog park, Bushrod. The dogs get to come to this amazing park twice a day. When they are not at the park there is no shortage of entertainment in their spacious home, which includes multiple outdoor spaces. They are generous with treats like bully sticks and Jessica even cooks homemade snacks for them. They love all the dogs as if they are their own. Lastly, their pack always has a good vibe. My dog is happy when I drop him off and happy when I pick him up, and also exhausted, in a good way. Only problem I have is half the time he does not want to leave!”

I highly recommend Paula for your dog care needs. As a registered nurse and neurotic dog mom, I’m very particular about who I will leave my dogs with. Both my babies have allergies with special food for each, need sunscreen and have behavioral quirks as they are brothers from the same litter. Paula has been great with me and my dogs- something I cannot say about every dog sitter on Rover. With my unpredictable schedule she has been very understanding of cancellations and time changes.
