About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember and began dog sitting and walking for family friends while I was in high school. Since then, I've cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities, from Chihuahuas to German Shepherds. I also had a Corgi of my own, which gave me firsthand experience with the daily responsibilities and joy of being a dog owner. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a slower pace, I'll make sure they receive the personalized care, attention, and love they deserve. While I'm new to Rover, I'm excited to provide safe, loving, and dependable care for your pets. As a medical student, I'm organized, responsible, and attentive to detail. I'll carefully follow your pet's routine, provide plenty of affection, exercise, and enrichment, and keep you updated with regular photos and messages so you always know how they're doing. I am currently a medical student studying for my board exams and spending time with animals is one of my favorite ways to take a break from studying, so dog walks, playtime, and pet visits fit naturally into my daily routine. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to plan my day around the pets in my care. I'm committed to providing reliable, attentive care and ensuring your pet receives the time, exercise, and affection they deserve. When caring for pets in a client's home, my priority is maintaining their normal routine so they feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible. I'll carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications, playtime, and any special needs or preferences. I also make sure pets receive plenty of attention, affection, and exercise based on their individual personalities and energy levels. I treat every home with the same respect I would my own by keeping it clean, secure, and following any household guidelines. I'll also provide regular photo and message updates so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for while you're away.
“Jessica went above and beyond for Daisy! She was so patient and understanding of our shelter dog's need for slow intros and some extra support learning to walk politely on the leash. She was super communicative and took care to follow all the instructions we gave her. We recommend her highly to anyone who needs walking/petsitting services!”

About: I've been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember, and I have experience with dogs and cats of all kinds. I have a deep respect for all animals, including those that are shy or have special needs, and I'm committed to giving every animal the care they deserve. I'm available on most weekends and holidays. During the week I work full time, but occasionally I do have weekdays available, as well as most Fridays in June and July. I can also do late afternoon or evening drop ins during the week - even if I have the day blocked off I can often still do an evening visit, feel free to message me and ask. When introducing myself I allow the animal to approach me first, I take things slow if they're shy or nervous. I'm familiar with dog and cat body language so I can recognize signs of stress. When walking dogs I'm always aware of my surroundings and will adjust the route if I need to.

“Katharine was extremely easy to work with! She assisted in fulfilling a last minute request, and got along great with my dog! She was able to get my pup to take a walk and eat her food, which are often difficult tasks due to my dogs anxiety. Would 100% recommend Katharine to others!!”

“Connelly was very responsive and sent multiple updates. She was quick to accommodate her schedule last minute to come and see Zola and I greatly appreciate that and highly recommend her for her services!”

About: I’ve taken care of a sick dog and a rabbit for 3 years now on separate occasions when the families go on trips. I always make sure to play with the animals. I’m available pretty much all the time. I have a class from 11:00-11:50 on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday that I have to attend and I babysit from 1:00-4:30 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays but otherwise I am all yours (and your animals) I will make sure that everything is in place when I leave and I will keep the house clean! I will of course also take care of your pets and play with them!
About: For a year, I walked my neighbor's Cavalier King Charles spaniel while she was recovering from a hip injury, until she could walk better. She and her daughter greatly appreciated my help and have said to me that their dog Cooper has been so much happier ever since he met me. I am a college student that goes to school 5 days a week from 7am to 2 pm. I can do early morning walks before 7am since I am a morning person, and I can do walks or come over after class. I am free on most weekends. I am free most of the time in the summer from June to August. I cannot bring pets into my home since I have two cats that are not very pet-friendly. But I can do all the care you need me to do at your house.
About: I grew up with multiple family pets and have always had pets since being on my own. I have watched and cared for family and friends animals when needed for many years. I am fortunate to be able work from home and make my own hours with my current job. This allows me the opportunity to have a flexible schedule. I will care for your pet as if they were my own at your home and/or take them for a walk according to your instruction and preferences.
About: I’ve taken care of many pets in my life as I used to live on a farm growing up. I treat them all as if they’re my kids. I have a part time job as a nurse at a nursing home and I have two children in the home but over the ages of 15, other than that I have no young kids or other pets. I have a fenced yard with plenty of room to play! As well I have a park 2 mins from my home that I can take any pet I’m caring for.
About: Since my husband is strictly a cat person, I got my doggy fix by volunteering at an animal shelter in NYC for years, where I walked dogs of all sizes and helped both dogs and cats find homes. The workdays are pretty busy for me, but I am available most weekends and Fridays if you need someone to drop by and care for your pets! My goal is to help your pets feel comfortable with me, which in turn will hopefully help you feel more comfortable being away from them.
“This was my first experience entrusting my puppy with a dog walker, and Lydia exceeded my expectations. She’s very communicative, open to my requests, and took great care of my little girl. Lydia also takes the cutest pictures! I’d recommend her, and I’ll be a repeat client for sure.”

About: I’ve pet sit for multiple dogs, and my pup loves having friends. I telecommute and minimize my time out of the house on petsitting days. Occasionally I have foster dogs and won’t be available for services in my home on those days, but I’ll update my calendar. I live in a great neighborhood to walk dogs. I’m able to use lunch breaks to take your fur baby out for some mid day exercise. I have the sweetest dog to keep your fur baby company. I stay in the same room to make sure everyone is having a good safe time. I’m in a residential area so if boarding, your pup will have safe walks in my neighborhood.
“Kateri is amazing! I needed to come into town at the last minute for a court appearance, and she was able to cheerfully meet me and my dog in front of the courthouse and take him on a fantastic outing. She had a plan to take him on a nature walk, which was far better than anything I could’ve imagined for him. He came back nicely, tuckered out and snoozed in the back of the car the whole drive home.”

I am available all days of the week and have a very flexible class schedule so can easily fit in a visit with your pup! I am available for overnights every night as well! About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 15 years, both personally and professionally. As a lifelong dog mom, I know firsthand how much our pets mean to us—they’re family. Beyond daily walks and playtime, I have experience with administering medications, caring for senior pets, and keeping anxious pups calm and comfortable. My background as a registered nurse has made me attentive, reliable, and detail-oriented, which carries over into the way I care for animals. You can trust that your pet will not only be safe with me, but also loved, spoiled, and treated with the same patience and compassion I give my own dogs. I am currently working part time and have availability in my schedule to love and care for your pet. I have pets of my own and would love nothing more than to have clients who are comfortable knowing they will receive care that is above and beyond. I treat all pets like they are my own. I have a fenced in yard where your pet can run and play. I also have spare rooms if they need to be separated for any reason, safety being my main concern.

We are so lucky to have found Kendra to look after our pup! She is incredibly kind, attentive, reliable, and provides detailed updates and pictures after each visit. Not to mention our dog absolutely LOVES her! I highly recommend her for all your pet care needs!

Phila had a great walk with Alexis! She was super friendly, chatty, and picked up on Phila’s behavior right away. Alexis totally got that Phila needs time to warm up to strangers, and it made things so much easier. By the second walk, Phila was totally fine. Would love to have her back!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
