For many years, living in Africa, Sophie developed a deep love for safari animals and our farm animals (cows, pigs, goats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, and ducks). Back in the U.S., one winter, Sophie had a dog walking appointment during a snowstorm. Power lines were down. She drove as close to the house as she could and then slogged through the snow on unplowed roads a few blocks to get to the house and walk her charge.
