About: I have had pets in my life for as long as I've been breathing. I learned to take my first steps holding our rat terrier, Missy's, tail. There are no bad breeds. I love all animals, even the ones that don't love me lol. I promise to treat your little friend like they are my child. I also spent the last two years in the pet care industry. Boarding, grooming, training, and daycare. I am trained well enough in grooming to give haircuts if needed, we can discuss pricing 💜 I also have experience with farm animals. Goats, horses, chickens, pigs. I'm comfortable with most pets, so sorry if you have snakes though. I adjust my prices based on your needs so don't be afraid to talk to me about rates! Working part time 8:30-4:30 on weekdays. I do prefer check-in style visits and really looking to groom more, but still available for housesitting when needed. I do offer care in my own home for smaller/medium pets (must get along with cats) and am adept at following whatever instructions I am given. With my work history I am very used to elderly and disabled pets as well. I am more than happy to walk two small-medium dogs at once, but if your dogs are considered large or giant I would ask to walk them separately, for everyone's safety.
“Abe provided provided excellent care to my beloved dog Nina for a week. Abe kept in touch and sent fotos of her while was gone. I highly recommended Abe for any dog boarding service. Thanks again! Roberto R”

“Amy is amazing! My dog absolutely loves her. I feel a sense of relief when my baby is left with her. Her house is clean and cozy and you can tell that she genuinely loves dogs. She even sent my dog home with a new toy. I will always book with her if she’s available. ❤️”

“She gave great care and attention to our dog during his last minute overnight stay.. Provided us with lots of updates with messages, pictures and videos. Definitely would recommend Laura for watching your dogs in a loving dog friendly setting.”

“You will be VERY happy choosing Blair. He made our Tinkerbell feel very comfortable and cared for. Sent photos to us s we felt better too. He took great care of Tinkerbell! Thanks Blair!”
“This was my first time needing a sitter and I was pretty nervous about it. I've never had to leave my sweet boy anywhere other than the vet for a day. Carol was very accommodating. She allowed me to see where he would be, answered any questions I had and sent pictures to me to assure me he was ok. I was grateful for that. That helped ease my mind. I would definitely use her again if it should become necessary again. She's awesome!!”

“Starr was fantastic! My dog is diabetic which requires an insulin injection twice a day. He recently had eye surgery which requires pain meds and eye drops several times a day. She was amazing! She sent photos and messages several times a day showing how he was doing. That reassured me and I was not worried about him so I enjoyed my vacation even more. I have already recommended Starr to two of my friends. I would definitely use her services again!”

“I do not have enough words to say how incredible Jessica was with my anxious corgi, Nugget! She was so attentive to his command words, what makes him nervous/comfortable and she even thought of things I hadn’t considered to make him feel comfortable there. She most definitely treated him like her own and he absolutely adores her! (And he is not fond of many people) she was wonderful about sending updates and keeping us connected while we were away. My sweet little boy absolutely loves her and we will be coming back soon!”

About: I have 10+ years of experience with animals. Growing up by a dirt road in Alabama ,I always made sure to care for and find homes for them while also having our own, I’ve taken college corses on training dogs although didn’t finish due to becoming a mother. We have a large backyard fenced, covered& partly enclosed patio & love to give. Animals are truly a wonderful being to have around and I want to teach my children the importance of them. I’ve watched big dogs & small dogs although starting off with this app I’m looking to watch small dogs. I take my oldest son to library, we can spend anywhere between 1-4 hours there & I pick up my youngest from his program at 3pm (right down the road) other than weekly/biweekly grocery/shopping trips, I’m at the house. We treat your dog like our family so that means ofc they are allowed on the couch and we have a fenced in back yard & covered patio while we love to spend time outside so you can be assured majority of the time we will be right there beside em. I do have a cat who spends majority of the time in our bedroom.
“Stephanie took care of our sassy little maltese like her own! She gave alot of updates and sent pictures/videos. It's our first time booking through rover and we will definitely book her again for our next trip. Thanks, Stephanie!”

“Deb took great care of Chevy! She made sure he got the attention and exercise he needed to have a fantastic and happy stay while I was out of town. The photo updates showed just how much fun he was having!”

“ABSOLUTELY AMAZING..... Still doesn't completely sum up the the service Ebony provided for our dog Leo while we were on vacation. We were completely satisfied with her services and will DEFINITELY use her again. From the small things (daily text, and video of our dog throughout the day) to the big things (she called us when she noticed our dog had a little limp), I would say Ebony handles all areas with superb professionalism. I have recommended her to all our family/friends and would also like to recommend her to you. DON'T LOOK ANY FURTHER, here is your dog sitter. Thanks Ebony you are ACES. The Reed family......”

“If you want your pet to be spoiled and catered to while you’re away, I highly recommend Nana! She was fantastic with providing care and updates.”

“My pup loved staying a Bianca’s! She is super communicative and sent plenty of pictures. He looked so happy there! I had zero worries about my pup while he was with her. Will 100% be using her again!”

“Excellent pet sitter! She boarded our puppy for two nights and took great care of her. Our puppy came home happy, healthy, and well-loved. Great communication and a caring environment. Highly recommend!”

About: More than just feeding and walks, I focus on making pets feel safe, relaxed, and loved while their owners are away. Skilled with maintaining routines, giving extra one on one attention, and creating a calm home environment. I’m retired and absolutely love animals. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and I’d love to help out. I’m available any day of the week. I have a privacy fenced yard. I have a small terrier mix who’s ten that gets along with any dog. She’s getting older and can’t see very well. I could do whatever makes you feel comfortable as far as your dog being around her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
