I am currently going to school in the early afternoons Monday-Thursday so I have plenty of time to care for your babies afternoons, nights, and early mornings. About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and care for all types. I am reliable, patient, and treat every pet great! I worked at a pet care for about a year as well! Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine because I plan my time around their needs. I can provide regular visits, feedings, walks, playtime, and attention on a schedule that works for each pet. I care for pets in their own home, following their usual routine for meals, playtime, and any special instructions. I make sure they feel safe, comfortable while their owners are away.

About: I have been a pet caregiver since I was a very small girl. I have helped Mama's deliver babies when needed. I have even done mouth to mouth and chest compressions on new horns a few times when needed. I have a huge heart for pets and animals of all kinds. My family of pets are trained either to alert me to go potty, use a box or crate themselves. I am able to give medication as needed and bathe if needed. My children are PET TRAINED. I have very strict rules in place about all animals big or small. I really hope you consider us in your upcoming needs. Happy New Year! I am always home except for appointments which we can discuss and decide if on those days I can meet your pets needs or if another sitter is better. I do not smoke in my home. I have 4 children, all pet trained and pet friendly. I do not have a large or fenced yard BUT I have an absolutely amazing park that abuts to my house so there is plenty of opportunity to run and play. I am at home all day for the entire week so I am able to keep a good schedule for my fury clients. I don’t have a problem with med or potty schedules. I listen to their needs. I watch for cues to hunger or need to potty. I feed and walk my pets or clients pets. When they need bathed I handle that as well. Medications in my house are no problem at all as over the years I’ve learned a lot about injectable and oral medications. I’m not the master for certain but I try my best to be your pets next best friend while I am with them.

About: Know what it's like to own dogs since childhood. Tell me what they love, like, and hate. Love to bring gifts for the dog(s) anytime. Also been a great house sitter and pet sitter for my mother in the past when she visited grandkids for a week in California. As far in advance as possible since I also do crowd management seasonally but haven't worked since April 1st. P.S. A page from the daily calendar for Life Hacks encouraged me to join and I do know someone on Rover.com named Stephen. He's a dog sitter, owner, and trainer. I live in a condo on the ground level with a patio and a view of Mill Creek. I'd prefer to house and/or pet watch at your place.

About: I have had dogs in my household since I was 8. I adopted my own dog a year ago and my boyfriend adopted his dog about 3 years ago. We regularly dog sit for family and friends and enjoy it! I love to have animals around. They are so special and deserve to know it. I am a full time student and looking for a career change. My current job is too stressful. So nice walks with awesome animals sounds about right! I prefer to house sit or check on a dog instead of having them over to my house. Our German shepherd can be moody so I don't want to take the chance. Also there isn't alot of room or a backyard for them to run.

About: Hello fellow fur-parents! 🐾 My name is Alivia, but most call me Lu. 👋🏻 If you’re looking for a dedicated, experienced caregiver for your beloved pet, I’m here to help. With over 15 years of experience owning, fostering, and providing care for a wide range of pets, I bring both passion and expertise to every interaction. Most recently, I worked as a Behavioral Consultant at a local Pet Hospital for four years before transitioning to in-home care services. Thanks to support from family, I have the flexibility to offer specialized, reliable pet care services. As a PSI (Pet Sitter International) Certified provider, I’m open for bookings and offer a variety of services tailored to pets of all sizes, types, and temperaments. While I’m not currently offering boarding, I’m happy to come to you and prioritize a clean, safe, and stimulating environment for your pet. Every service is personalized to meet your pet’s specific needs, and I’ll keep you updated with a detailed report after each visit. Communication is essential, so please feel free to reach out with any questions as we plan the perfect care for your pet. Warm regards, Alivia (Lu) 🐾 I am fortunate enough to be an in-home aid for my mother, along side my two sisters, making my schedule extremely flexible. I am here to work around the Clients schedule, not my own. Each service is personalized and catered to your pets needs, wants and boundaries. Pets will be returned to the care of their owner & given a summary of services provided, behavior while being serviced & any other necessary information regarding your pets experience. It is important to me to keep owners as involved & updated as possible.

About: I've always been an empathetic and naturally nurturing individual. I've had terminally ill family members (including my mom), I've always leaned soft- nurturing- and helpful when working in retail (especially with people of an older age or with a disability)- I always step in and softly but efficiently assist, I babysat a lot in my teenage years, and I even did animal caretaking at a vet for a lil bit in-between job searching. I bathed them, took them out to go potty, fed and watered them (including giving any supplements and pills required, strictly following the protocols when I did), and deep cleaned their kennels and washed and dried their blankets. I'm currently pursuing more independent financial routes, ones that lean more creative or caretaker-like. I plan to start getting into my music again. I plan to sing calm, expressive, and bittersweet Hyper-Indie songs. And I plan to hopefully get into elderly companionship and help take the weight off of those in my cities shoulder's. So I'll be pretty free, just helping when and where I can, and living domestically, doing art- crafts- and music in my free time. :) It all varies per animal. All animals, much like people have different support needs, and so do their owners. So I'd just have to collaborate with my clients, in order to make it a great and safe and nicely tailored experience for all. I can't activately do in home (for my own home- someone is allergic to most animals here). But I can do check-ins, dog walking, overnight stays, and just about anything else that you guys need and advise me to do during my stay/time with your fur babies.

I have a Big yard and up to two professional dog caretakers at a time 😊 Let’s talk!… I grew up on a farm and have spent 23 years loving all animals, caring for pets, farm companions, and learning how to provide each unique critter with the love they deserve. In the pictures above, you’ll find several of my beloved pets, clients, and animals I have had the fortune of meeting! I believe a passion for helping animals has made me into a highly empathetic individual who has a keen eye for understanding details in animals, allowing me to provide care that puts your pet first. I try to go beyond the basic necessities to help animals feel safe, happy, enriched, and loved, in your absence. I have experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages and temperaments, including puppies, kittens and seniors. I display an intermediate level of training, including how to reinforce actions that benefit your companion, as well as steer away/de-escalate unwanted habits. I will always advocate for your pet, especially around other animals. Ample cuddles as well! Aside from cats and dogs, I especially enjoy caring for horses (feel free to inquire separately!), rodents, reptiles, chickens, and more. Available almost everyday/nights and open to all inquiries. As of July 2026, there are 316 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Gates. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Gates. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Gates.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Gates. On Rover:

  • 100% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
