About: I have lifelong experience caring for animals of all kinds! I grew up on a farm, where caring for horses, livestock, and other animals was simply part of everyday life. About: • Veterinary student • Fear Free • *pending BLS/ALS RECOVER CPR certification coming 05/16* • • Transparent, reliable, and attentive care backed by extensive clinical experience • I’m Jennifer, a 2nd yr veterinary student at Oregon State University with an interest in small animal medicine and feline-centered care. I have 10+ years of hands-on experience working with (primarily) dogs and cats in both shelter and clinical environments. I began volunteering at the Arizona Humane Society, where I provided daily care and enrichment for incoming and resident animals. I later worked as a veterinary assistant in a small animal general practice clinic for 4–5 years, gaining extensive experience with patient handling, client communication, and medical care in a fast-paced setting, while completing a bachelors in pre-veterinary medicine and a wildlife management certificate. To supplement my extensive academic training, I have pursued Fear Free Certification and Cat Friendly Veterinary Practitioner certification to better understand how to reduce fear, anxiety, and stress in animals in the shelter and clinic environment. I carry those principles into every visit, prioritizing calm, low-stress care tailored to each pet’s individual needs and personality. In addition, I am fully bonded and insured, and I maintain independent professional coverage beyond Rover platform protections. Currently, I am progressing on completing the BLS/ALS CPR certification through the RECOVER Initiative (the evidence-based standard used in veterinary medicine) and I will officially have that achievement met on May 16th! Additionally, I am continuing to expand my Fear Free certification in the coming weeks to include a higher tier of canine/feline care and a broader range of species in general. I am comfortable administering medications through a variety of routes and have experience caring for multiple species, including dogs, cats, and backyard poultry such as chickens and turkeys. While the majority of my experience is within the small animal realm, I have additional experience with a variety of species. Providing these services are an extension of my training and long-term career in veterinary medicine. I strive to provide thoughtful, consistent care so you can feel confident that your pet is in capable hands. One of my goals is to maintain your pet’s routine, while also monitoring for subtle changes in behavior or health while you’re away. I am currently transitioning into a full-time veterinary assistant role in a clinic in Eugene, OR, but I will do my best to accommodate any services in my time outside of the clinic. Thank you for sticking around to learn about me. I’d love to meet your fur kids! I am currently a 2nd year veterinary student that has needed to take a medical deferral for a year. I plan to return to OSU CCVM to finish my doctorate degree, during the Winter 2027 term. During the month of May '26, I expect to be transitioning into a veterinary clinic job in Eugene, OR. I will do my best to accommodate all requests in the meantime and I will be transparent about any scheduling conflicts. I am hoping to spend the next year focusing on my health, continuing my veterinary learning at a pace that suits my current needs, spending time with my cats and my partner, and exploring OR. I will reliably provide updates on the status of your pets and provide immediate reports if I notice anything abnormal or medically concerning during our visit. I am always available to be contacted if there are any concerns during the services or leading up to the services. In my time off from veterinary school, I plan to pursue BLS/ALS RECOVER CPR certification in Portland, OR in mid May. Fingers crossed that I am able to find a class with space but I will update my profile once I have official certification shortly! How cool to have a legit medical professional as a pet/house sitter while you're away! 😎 On top of being an approved Rover sitter/covered by the Rover guarantee, I have additional insurance coverage and am bonded through an external company to simply give myself and your family peace of mind while you're away!

About: I have been a pet caregiver since I was a very small girl. I have helped Mama's deliver babies when needed. I have even done mouth to mouth and chest compressions on new horns a few times when needed. I have a huge heart for pets and animals of all kinds. My family of pets are trained either to alert me to go potty, use a box or crate themselves. I am able to give medication as needed and bathe if needed. My children are PET TRAINED. I have very strict rules in place about all animals big or small. I really hope you consider us in your upcoming needs. Happy New Year! I am always home except for appointments which we can discuss and decide if on those days I can meet your pets needs or if another sitter is better. I do not smoke in my home. I have 4 children, all pet trained and pet friendly. I do not have a large or fenced yard BUT I have an absolutely amazing park that abuts to my house so there is plenty of opportunity to run and play. I am at home all day for the entire week so I am able to keep a good schedule for my fury clients. I don’t have a problem with med or potty schedules. I listen to their needs. I watch for cues to hunger or need to potty. I feed and walk my pets or clients pets. When they need bathed I handle that as well. Medications in my house are no problem at all as over the years I’ve learned a lot about injectable and oral medications. I’m not the master for certain but I try my best to be your pets next best friend while I am with them.

About: I've owned cats and dogs throughout my life and love both! Animals are the best, and I have many years of experience with house/pet sitting as well, everywhere from cats and dogs to horses and other animals. I love playing with pets and hanging out with them, or just giving them some love and cuddles. I work from home the vast majority of the time so am able to be present for boarding and daycare! I have two dogs (Junie and Wilbur the doodles) and a cat (Tabby the tabby) of my own currently. Depending on my work schedule, I'm often available throughout the day to come check on your fur-babies as often as is needed. I'm happy to provide whatever level of service you're looking for, and look forward to discussing the details with you! I generally work a standard 9-5, but my work is remote most of the time so I have a semi-flexible schedule. Just let me know what you need and we will make it work! As someone with a special needs dog, we keep any dangerous objects out of reach. I’m familiar with general foods and things that are a risk to pets. I also have cameras in my home and am comfortable with cameras if you have any.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
