I currently work part time, Tuesday through Friday. So I will have plenty of time to check in on, take on walks/ to parks and just play with your animals. I can also bring my puppy along for other dogs if you would like so they have someone to play with or just learn to be around other dogs! I can either take care of your pet in your home or in mine if needed. I do have a fenced yard and a puppy of my own. Who is friendly with other dogs and can play/ keep your dog company if you would like. I know how crates work and am willing to learn the routine you have for your animal. (Food/crate/sleeping habits).
About: With over six years of experience caring for pets of all shapes and sizes, I’ve had the joy of looking after dogs, cats, and even small animals like rabbits and guinea pigs. From daily walks and playtime to administering medication and providing special care for senior pets, I treat every animal like they’re my own. I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust, and I’m here to give your pet the love, attention, and comfort they deserve while you're away. As a part-time nursing student and mom of two, I’ve learned how to balance a busy schedule with care and attention to detail. qualities that I also bring to pet care. I work relief shifts as a behavioral health support specialist, which gives me a flexible schedule that allows time during the day and weekends to dedicate to animals. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because caring is what I do, whether it’s my own kids or someone’s beloved pet, I’m fully committed to making sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. In my home, pets have plenty of space to play and relax! I live in a duplex with a large, fully fenced backyard that’s perfect for safe outdoor play and exercise. I provide a clean, comfortable, and pet-friendly environment where animals can feel at home. Whether I’m caring for pets in my space or at a client’s home, I follow their usual routines closely; including feeding, walks, playtime, and any special care instructions. My goal is to keep pets happy, healthy, and stress-free while you’re away.

About: I’ve cared for dogs for over 15 years and grew up helping establish and run a local animal rescue on our family’s property. From a young age, I was involved in daily care, intake, and working with dogs of all temperaments before leaving for the military at 19. Today, I share my home with multiple dogs of my own and understand how important structure, supervision, and thoughtful introductions are in a multi-dog environment. I’m currently completing a professional dog training certification, so I bring a behavior-aware, training-informed approach to every stay (though I don’t offer formal training through Rover). I’m especially comfortable with large breeds, working breeds, and higher-energy personalities. Your dog will have predictable routines, supervised interaction, enrichment, and a calm, well-managed home environment. Pet care is part of my daily routine. I’m home frequently throughout the day and my schedule allows for consistent supervision, structured exercise, and enrichment. Boarding dogs are integrated thoughtfully into our routine with predictable rest, activity, and downtime. I live on rural property with a securely fenced yard, separate fenced field, and manage a structured multi-dog household. Dogs are introduced thoughtfully and supervised during interactions. I prioritize calm energy, clear boundaries, and safe management at all times. Crating is available if needed for rest, safety, or owner preference. I follow each dog’s routine closely and am comfortable managing large breeds, working breeds, and higher-energy personalities. Your dog’s physical safety and emotional comfort are my top priorities.
About: I have grown up with all different types of animals like dogs, cats, guinea pigs, bunnies, etc. I am very much an animal lover and I treat all animals with love and respect! I have provided dog sitting services for over 10 years and have cared for dogs with all types of needs. I have experience in taking care of senior dogs, dogs with disabilities, dogs with high energy, and dogs of all sizes. I wouldn't say I have experience in professional training, but I have some experience in training my own dogs (and cat). I am currently a full-time nursing student with a part time job. My schedule is changing pretty frequently, but I am very organized and good at keeping my schedule updated. I am home most of the week doing classes online, so I do have a lot of extra time for pet sitting, dog walks, and drop ins! I pride myself in creating a safe and loving environment for all animals. I treat all animals with love and respect and I always aim to make sure they feel comfortable and safe. In my own home, I only have one cat, but I aim to make the home as safe and playful as I can for him. I intended to bring the same love to other people's homes.
“Brandy is so great! We booked her again after a house sit for dog walking. Communicative and no problems at all! We won’t hesitate to keep requesting Brandy for our pup!”
About: I’ve always had a love for animals and treat them like family. I had a sick pup that I took care of for several years, giving her medications 4+ times a day, taking her to vet appointments every other week, and providing tons of love. Your pet will be spoiled by me, guaranteed. 🤍 I currently do not have a pet of my own but often have a family member’s blue heeler at my house. I’m a SAHM to a 1.5 year old daughter who loves animals. I have a fenced in yard with grass to play in and a nice neighborhood to take walks in. I don’t mind pets getting on the furniture (as long as you allow it too) and have a large kennel available, if that is what your pup feels most comfortable sleeping in.

About: Animal care has been a part of my whole life. I've always had a pet, whether they were cats or dogs. No matter the size, age, or breed of the pet, I understand to respect their boundaries and be mindful of their safety. Spoiling and playing with pets is the easiest task on the planet. I'm a part-time college instructor. My hours are extremely flexible, so I can happily take a break from grading to pop in for a pet. I first and foremost will defer to the owner's instructions and requests. For pop in care, I will check basic needs first: food/water/litter box/potty breaks. Then comes socializing or any other request from the owner. Weather permitting, I like to take dogs out for fetch, chase, tug-a-war, or casual walks. What we do is sometimes determined by the breed of dog. For cats, I understand that play is up to them. I'm happy to engage in any way they prefer. My own cat is a fiend for a string.
About: I have had pets my whole life, different kinds, and ages! I am willing to help with any medication or any special request nothing is too big or too small for me to help with for your peace of mind! One is 6 years old who is a high energy husky and a 3 year old tuff chiweenie. 😅I have a wife and kids that will extra love on your fur babies as well if you want your fur baby to meet them!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since the moment I could walk and talk. I’ve been called the dog whisperer by many friends, family, strangers. I have been a dog lover since the day I was born. I will make sure your pup is well cared for and loved! I currently dont have a job so im pretty much free to help whenever you need! I do have a 5 month old baby that may or may not come with me. I’ll take your dog on walks around the neighborhood! If that’s what they’re into of course. If not, I’ll make sure we get some quality time inside and outside either playing or cuddling. I’ll make sure your pup gets the right amount of food and water.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Whitaker. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Whitaker.

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Whitaker. On Rover:
- 97% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
