“I have a very difficult older rescue dog and Jules handled him beautifully! My other dog is an angel but a little shy, and Jules made her feel at home. I didnt worry and loved the updates. Great small dog home away from home.”

“Amazing care!!!! Elizabeth knew we were concerned to leave our new to us dog for the first time and sent the perfect amount of pictures and texts!!! Our little guy also made great doggy friends and came home after 2 days happy, relaxed and tired!!!!!! I recommend Elizabeth to anyone who needs a knowledgeable, competent and loving caregiver!!!!”

“Maddie was an amazing sitter. I could see in the videos and pictures sent that my dog Murphy was thoroughly enjoying her stay. Maddie provided an environment that allowed Murphy to be the dog that she is. I'm very grateful for her.”

About: Hi there! I am a fear free certified Dog Trainer with a passion for animals of all sizes. Growing up, I had the opportunity to live with and care for a variety of animals including livestock, dogs, cats, pocket pets, aquatic animals, and more. In my free time, I cared for dogs and cats residing at the local animal shelters, providing them with loving attention and exercise. I have also fostered dogs and cats of all ages in my home providing them with a safe, loving, and enrichment-filled environment until they find their forever home. Throughout my stay, you can expect to receive daily updates covering their activities and overall well-being. This can include written updates, photos, or short clips of their daily activities. I am skilled at administering medications as needed and can provide specialized care for your pets. I follow your daily routine strictly and provide mental stimulation for both cats and dogs to ensure the smoothest transition until you return. I look forward to meeting you and thank you for your time! I am currently providing pet care and training fulltime so I will be able to provide your pet with my full attention throughout their stay. They will be cared for as if they were my own. I will follow the routine your pet is used to and be sure to provide extra love and attention to help them settle in comfortably.
“Dan and Dave took great care of our fur baby and she was healthy and happy when I picked her up. They provided a super clean and secure environment with care and affection for our pup. Will definitely be calling on them again.”

“Jennifer was absolutely FANTASTIC! If there were 10 stars to give I certainly would. The entire experience was wonderful from the initial contact, to the meet and greet with my two pups, to the drop off not to mention all the pictures and video updates. My two guys had never stayed away from home and I was a bit nervous at first to leave them somewhere, but Jennifer put the little guys right at ease! I would definitely recommend Jennifer! She is amazing!”

“We have a great pyrenees. Our dog is 112 lbs and very friendly. I was so happy to find Courtney. Courtney's place is very clean and quiet. She only takes one dog at a time so your baby gets all the attention. Courtney was very good at sending me pictures and videos since we have never left our dog at anyone's house before. About: I have owned 5 different dogs in my lifetime, and each one lived to be over 10 years old, I am a “dog whisperer” as some people say because of my ability to connect with them and make them happy! I currently work part time and do this as another part time job. I am available most days in the week to watch your pet! Please let me know 1 or 2 days in advance for pet care, and I will do my best to work out the schedule details! My house is a reasonable size and has a huge fenced yard for your dog to play in. I will make sure they feel at home when you’re gone and get care as you request.
“Sandy and her husband were very welcoming to our dogs, and us! We did a meet and greet first and she introduced her dogs to ours one at a time, and all went well. So nice to not have dogs in a crate or kennel the whole time you are gone, and with Sandy they get to hang out and run around with her 3 Golden Retrievers, inside and safely outside, which is fenced. She sent us pictures while we were gone, of each dog sleeping on the couch. Very accommodating for pick-up and drop-off as well.”

Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Whitaker.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
