About: I’ve been raised around animals and have always adored them. I am 20 years old and have four animals of my own. A dog named Panda, two cats Severus and Luna, and a bearded dragon named Sirius. I truly see animals as family, not just pets. I worked at a dog/cat boarding kennel in high school and have always had animals of my own. I work as a Nanny and am a full time online college student. I have lots of availability during mornings-afternoons for doggie walks, or just pet check ins. I’d love to help take care of your beloved animals 😊❤️ I also have experience with extremely fearful dogs. I’m currently in my Sophomore year of college online. So I have a pretty flexible schedule. I have morning-afternoon availability every day. And I frequently have evening-weekend availability. While staying in your home I will care for your pets like they’re my own. I will take them on multiple daily walks, feed and bathe them if needed. While I’m lucky to have my own Dog I know lots of great doggie parks and dog friendly hiking spots if that’s something you would be comfortable with me doing with your furry companion.
“Arielle was amazing!!! This was our first time ever leaving our fur baby with anyone other than family! She made us feel so at ease & remained in contact with us throughout his stay! She sent us pictures so we could see how he was doing & it looked like he was on vacation!!! She accepted him last minute & he came home so content & exhausted from his playtime! We have definitely found Opi’s home away from home!!! If you’re looking for an awesome sitter for your fur baby, look no further!!!”

“Chandra was great with our pup, Ivy! We had a last-minute change in our original booking and she was very accommodating. We got lovely updates and would definitely book with Chandra in future!”

I understand all dogs are unique and have different needs and am willing to help. I currently work part time, Monday through Thursday. So I will have plenty of time to check in on, take on walks/ to parks and just play with your animals. I can also bring my dogs along for other dogs if you would like so they have someone to play with or just learn to be around other dogs! I can either take care of your pet in your home or in mine if needed. I do have a fenced yard and 2 dogs of my own. Who are friendly with other dogs and can play/ keep your dog company if you would like. I know how crates work and am willing to learn the routine you have for your animal. (Food/crate/sleeping habits).
“We had a very good experience with Katelyn. Lovely family. A few small and delightful kids. Our beagle, Lucy, got on well with their larger dog. Katelyn is our new go-to provider. Lucy will be with her again this coming weekend.”

“Allison was amazing with our pup! Pepper loved her right away and I could tell from the meet and greet that this was a great fit. Allison was communicative, engaged and helpful with every step of setting up our dog’s boarding. She sent pictures and updates during our trip so we knew our girl was happy and cozy. We are excited to have found someone we feel so comfortable leaving our girl with and will definitely be connecting with her again in the future!”

“We are so grateful to Amy & Rob for taking such wonderful care of our dog! We felt that they listened to our care instructions and concerns and felt confident throughout our pup's stay. Amy & Rob were attentive, kind, and kept us updated with photos and messages throughout the stay - and provided photos of our dog's meds being administered which we appreciated so much. Our dog came back happy and well-cared for, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be booking again in the future!”

“For my pup , it was his first time without me 😢 and Cecilia make sure that he had a wonderful time, so no time for sad times.. ❤️ She sent me videos and we had a wonderful communication about the needs for my baby 🐶! Definitely, she and her family were the best, Also special hugs to Wesley 🐕 😘!!! Thank you ☺️”

“Griffin is gentle, soft-spoken, and was sweet and patient with our timid little dog. We really appreciated that he sent us photos during our dog’s stay, which was reassuring that she had settled in and looked plenty comfortable. Although he lives in an upstairs apartment with a balcony, he took our dog out regularly, several times a day. He was conscientious, and communicated well.”

“Chelsea is amazing! Her and her family took wonderful care of my baby and I will definitely be contacting her again if Binx needs a place to stay. She even made us treats! So thankful for kind people like her:)”

“Sarah and Anthony were the perfect sitters for our little dog. They also have a big dog and small dog to keep her company. Their house is very dog friendly as are they, thank you so much for taking such good care of her and sending pictures. This experience could not have been better!”

“We have a great pyrenees. Our dog is 112 lbs and very friendly. I was so happy to find Courtney. Courtney's place is very clean and quiet. She only takes one dog at a time so your baby gets all the attention. Courtney was very good at sending me pictures and videos since we have never left our dog at anyone's house before. She was very good at communicating every day as we were gone for a week. Thank you Courtney and we will be back to reserve you with Crystal again.”

About: I've raised 2 puppies who spent their whole life with me. I've adopted 1 rescue and 1 senior. They have had health issues (particularly the rescue and senior) so I'm familiar with some of the early and intermediate signs. We are now at a point in our lives where we want to still spend time with dogs, but we aren't looking for the 24/7 commitment. So we would like to host your furry baby for a night or a weekend and give him all the joy of a good friendship without the kennel experience of a dog hotel. We will be taking on pet care Friday thru Sunday. We may be able to support an emergency during the week, but since we both work full time, that would mean I would need to work from home for a day (which is pawsible with notice). However, it would not be our preferred schedule. We want to spend time with your dogs playing and relaxing - not just leaving them in an unfamiliar space while we are at the office. We are looking for day or overnight services on the weekends when we are free and planning to be home. We would expect you to bring enough food and medication to last their expected stay plus 1 day (in case of unforeseen circumstances). Then leave the rest to us. We will give regular bathroom breaks and play times (no yard), much love and pets and be vigilant about your recommended food/medicine. We do not look forward to creating your animal. So we expect at least one of us (husband or wife) to be home at all times and we expect your dog to be housebroken.

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
97% of sitters in Santiam Terrace can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Santiam Terrace home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Santiam Terrace.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Santiam Terrace sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
