“This is our second time using Sabrina and she was just as wonderful the second time as the first! She sent us pictures each day and made us feel so comfortable about leaving our pup with her. We will no doubt use her again. Thank you Sabrina!”

“Carrie was "EXCELLENT"! She made us feel at ease when we dropped off Bella. She was very sweet and kind. She gave us a very good vibe and we felt confident our Bella was going to be okay with her. She sent us pics and videos of Bella while was under her care and we could see Bella being herself and that gave us peace of mind. We will definitely will be returning customers in the future. We were extremely satisfied with her service. Thank you! Eva”

“I cannot say enough good things about Irina. While I was on vacation, one of my dogs developed a ruptured cyst (from what I later realized was caused by a small nip from my other pup who got angry at him the day I dropped them off with Irina). This could have been an extremely stressful and scary situation but Irina handled it with absolute professionalism, compassion, and care. Not only did she notice it immediately, send pictures, and communicate every step of the way, she also took my dog to our veterinary hospital on a Sunday to make sure he was properly diagnosed and treated. With her veterinary degree, she clearly knew how to manage the situation, and assure me Ralphy was doing okay and it was treatable (which gave me so much peace of mind while I was out of the Country). On top of this she kept me updated on both dogs, and sent lots of pictures and videos. I feel incredibly lucky to have found someone so caring, knowledgeable, and reliable to watch my 2 Senior Dogs. I recommend Irina wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a pet sitter who treats your pets as if they were their own.”

“Blaze was so friendly, so easy to reach and quick to respond! She spent a long time answering questions at our meet and greet and, once we booked, sent frequent photo updates throughout our dog’s stay with her. Sonoma was so happy and comfortable there. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again with Blaze.”

“Valerie was amazing with Whiskey! She took such great care of him and kept us updated with photos and videos all weekend, which really put us at ease. It was clear Whiskey was happy, well cared for, and enjoying his time with her. She took him on walks and gave him lots of love and attention. We’re so grateful to have found someone so caring and reliable. We’ll definitely be booking with Valerie again!”

“I was nervous about leaving my dog for a few days for a work trip, but I appreciate that Tammy was open to doing a pre-meeting to meet my dog and put me at ease. I also appreciate that Tammy kept me updated with pictures everyday while I was traveling. Would book again!”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life, I’m a HUGE animal lover, I’m currently in the Penn Foster Veterinary Technician Online Program and loving every minute of it! I’ve dog sat and farm sat for previous coworkers and still do! I have 3 years Veterinary Assistant experience and I'm familiar with dogs body language. I currently don’t have a job right now, nobodies hiring! I have a wide open schedule and can be with your pups all day if needed. I can’t dog sit at my house so it will always have to be your house, but I will do anything you need me to in order for it to be a smooth process. I can walk your dogs if that’s okay with you, I’ll play with them, and spoil them while you’re away!
“Annie is really sweet. Took good care of my big fur baby who was very anxious and it was his first time staying away from home but it turned out great! Thanks Annie!”

“Doggy Disneyland with Denise was a dream for my puppy. My yorkie, Aston has a lot of puppy energy, he enjoyed playtime with the other dogs, and appeared to really have enjoyed this time from the videos & photos denise to the initiative to share. Very happy guy when i picked him up. overall we are likely to return in the future & highly recommend.”
“My dog was very comfortable with Rekha. My dog is usually very nervous and I could tell she enjoyed her stay. Rekha and her family are very nice people and I would recommend her dogsitting to anyone.”

“Achara is the best. Hudson has spent several long weekends with her now and he is more excited to see her and her family at drop off than to see us at pick up! A great sign that he feels right at home there. Achara is always really easy to communicate with, sending photos and updates throughout his stay - in fact most recently she helped us coordinate a last minute pickup as we were heading to the hospital to have a baby! Couldn’t recommend her highly enough as a loving home for our fur baby when we’re away.”

“I was really nervous about leaving Lewis behind because he's still recovering from surgery (the wound is healed, but he's still fragile), but Jennifer did a great job of keeping his activity restricted while still making sure both of my dogs got lots of love. She also provided regular (2x/day) updates and daily pictures, so I never had to wonder how they were doing. I will absolutely be using her again when I need a sitter in this area.”

“Anton took excellent care of our dogs. He consistently updated us with photos, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Our dogs looked happy, relaxed, and very well cared for. We truly appreciated his attentiveness and dedication.”

“Anais was very aware and considerate of my dog’s needs and our preferences. She was communicative and shared pictures throughout the stay. I will definitely reach out to Anais again in the future.”

“Aki took care of our dog, Jack, very well. He got walk, sun bathing, and we got a lot of pictures from her. We tried the other sitter too, and I trust Aki more. Definitely would book her again next time.”

“Both my cat and dog stayed with her for over 2 weeks. She really took good care of them. I definitively recommend and I will book again in the future.”

“Wendy made my boys and me comfortable during their stay with her. I never had any concerns and she sent me a pic and vid during their stay. They looked super comfortable and even made a new friend in her own fur baby! Wonton is tuckered out from playing! Thank you again Wendy!”

“I have used Iris a few times now and they have always been great to work with. My dog was excited this time when I dropped her off. She seems to like it over there. Great communication which is always appreciated when dealing with people watching your pets. I will be using Iris again in less than 2 weeks! Would highly recommend.”

“Cole is the best! She has taken great care of our dog Harley for a few years now while we enjoy summer vacation. She gives Harley the care and attention that she needs while offering playtime with her own dog Aston. She keeps us up to date with pictures and messages daily and provides special treats that she knows Harley loves . I am so thankful we found Cole and we highly recommend her services.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Galt
Celeste and her family were wonderful care givers. Their home was a nice environment with a nice fenced yard and plenty of room to explore and play for our dog. She was attentive and was careful to follow through on our dog's needs. We received updates and pictures during his stay. There were 3 kids in the family that were sooo excited to have a dog visit! They have my dog lots of extra love and attention. The white family was very friendly and kind. I would definitely highly recommend them as pet sitters and I'm sure my dog would love to visit them again!

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
