About: Hello! My name is Kate, and I am a senior at the University of Northern Colorado! I have experience caring for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, guinea pigs, and more. I currently own four dogs and a disabled cat, giving me firsthand experience with pets of all sizes and special needs. I've cared for dogs ranging from a three-legged Chihuahua to an Irish Wolfhound and am comfortable administering medications, following special feeding instructions, and managing prescription diets. As a lifelong pet owner, I understand the importance of providing safe, reliable, and loving care for every pet. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine as I am already responsible for caring for my own pets. I have a flexible schedule and am available most days and times, with the exception of Tuesdays from 12:00 PM–3:00 PM and Thursdays from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM when I am at work. Outside of those hours, I have full availability and can provide reliable care, walks, drop-in visits, feeding, medication administration, and plenty of attention for your pets. I care for every pet according to their individual needs and routine. In a client's home, I make sure pets are fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of exercise and attention, and receive any medications or special care they require. I also help maintain their normal routine to keep them comfortable while their owners are away. My goal is always to treat every pet as if they were my own and ensure they feel happy, safe, and well cared for.

Dogs are social animals and as humans we tend to spend so much time training them to be good we can forget we are the architects of their entire reality and to take time to just let them just be dogs. They're loud messy and impulsive. When we choose patience over frustration and offer comfort to a creature that cannot speak our language I feel that is engaging in the highest form of stewardship. A true non transactional act of service. I am currently living nomadically as a way to take my dog Bucky on his retirement journey of sorts. He DOES NOT have to participate in any tasks you hire me for but you can always opt in to that for free. **Please note that I cannot exclude my dog for over night stays at your location. Only walks and check-ins ect. My nomadic lifestyle is very much to your benefit, as it gives me a flexible schedule and the time and ability to focus on what you and your pets need. If you need a pet sitter for overnight or long-term care but aren't sure about having someone live in your home, that's fine! I just find a place to park. About: Pets are not just animals, they’re part of the family! Whenever I take care of an animal, I like to see myself in their… paws. I think to myself how I’d want to be treated, and make sure they get the best treatment possible. All through my life I have taken care of all of my pets from fish, to cats and dogs, and even moths and butterflies! Back home in Minnesota, I used to take care of two cats, Lucky and Gnocchi, which Gnocchi is now in the loving care of my grandparents, and Lucky has been watching from above for more than a few years now. I later took care of my cat, Foxy, who has since joined Lucky and both are watching my progress from above. Now, my dog Bailey is at home with two kittens, Ava and Johnny, who are currently being cared for by my mom. I miss my fluffy friends back home, and would love to make some new ones around the area! I currently have a part-time job at Raising Cane’s in Loveland, and I’m trying my best to keep my Rover schedule updated with my work schedule. I’m free for care all week, save for the hours I am at work, but I am always willing to drop in or stay over should the situation call for it. I’m willing to house-sit full-time, but I will need at least two weeks of notice in order to take the correct days off of work. Safety has always been my number one priority no matter what job I have been given. Risks and shortcuts are something I barely even know how to do, and instructions on what the owners want the sitter to do with their pets are the only thing that will be followed (along with basic common sense of course). I've had experience with dogs ranging from toy breeds to very large breeds. Having had dogs my whole life, I've cared for puppies thru seniors. I am a trained vet tech, and am comfortable taking care of dogs with a variety needs. Special diets, administration of meds, all not a problem. I don't even mind the small guys with big attitude! I have a fairly flexible work schedule, leaving me available after 3:30pm Sunday-Wednesday. Thursday-Saturday is more or less anytime of the day until about 10 pm. When it comes to caring for pets in your home, I prefer to keep to the house rules already in place. If there is a behavior we are trying to change or reinforce, I would like to be fully aware. This way I can continue training your in your absence. Other than that, expect me to spoil your fur friend. I have multiple dogs myself, and they are a part of my day. I would treat your dogs the same way.
