“Jana was great for us and Mocha. She is the perfect fit for our dog sitting needs. She had our dog for almost two weeks and while we were away she ensured that Mocha had plenty of exercise and love. We had peace of mind and that’s what really matters. We trust her implicitly and will definitely use her in the future. Thanks Jana🐶!”

“Noa did a phenomenal job taking care of my boys. She made sure they were good, sent plenty of pictures and videos and even stayed longer sometimes to make sure they weren’t by themselves too long. Would definitely recommend and use again! They were in great hands”

About: I have always loved animals and aspired to be a veterinarian. I will genuinely care for your dogs and treat them as if they were my own. I am a full time school psychologist with a husband and two young children. I will be available to care for pets on weekends and evenings. If close enough to my work, I can let dogs out on my lunch break. I have a fenced yard with two dogs. A lab and golden retriever mix and a bichon/maltese. I also have two cats. We have structured feeding and time outside for the dogs. The cats are indoor and regularly have food out and balance their feeding over time. I can also do basic grooming.
“Raven does an excellent job. Very conscientious. Thinks ahead. She took excellent care of my Sugar and was responsive to my requests for updates & pictures of my baby. Super flexible. I would recommend Raven without a second thought to anyone that needs care for their fur baby.”

About: I grew up around big and small dogs and have had cats, snakes, and turtles. I worked at a vet clinic for a couple months then moved to working at an animal humane society for a year and a half, I am now working at a doggy daycare and have dog/house sat for some family friends. I have experienced in special needs senior pups and I have experienced with rabbits as well. I currently have 3 dogs, 5 cats, a rabbit, and a betta fish and my personal pets. I work Monday-Friday and mainly work 6:30am-1:30pm. I have plenty of time after work to spend time walking and caring for the furry friends, I work no weekends so the furry friends will have some full days of love and attention. Depending on the needs of the pet and the parents instructions I like to do at least 30 minutes of playtime and enrichment, if no fenced yard depending on age and size of day, 30 minutes of walking around the neighborhood and playtime inside of home or enrichment

About: I love the dedication and unconditional love that dogs provide their human companions. I will admit that personally I have cats, and they just don't do that all the time :) I have dog-sat for friends over several years providing feedings, walks, and playtime to Malteses to German Shepards. I love getting to know each dog and treating them as if they were my own, which means they are usually going to be pretty pampered. If your dog needs specialized care, I would be willing to learn. I don't really know what specialized care entails for a dog, but feel free to message me and we can discuss. I am a high school teacher so my availability is afternoon/evenings and weekends during the school year but wide open once it is the summertime. My cats are not used to dogs, so caring for dogs in my home would mean they would be spending time outside. However taking care of dogs in their home allows them to be comfortable, have rub my belly sessions (if that's what they like), and take walks in the area that they are most comfortable.

About: Hi there! I am an experienced and responsible dog owner and would love to welcome your pet into my home. I have owned and loved dogs of all shapes and sizes throughout my adult life, and have experience with various breeds and temperament. My wonderful 14 year old Carolina Dog, Jack, crossed the rainbow bridge earlier this year, and I am excited to open my heart and home to your beloved companions. I currently volunteer through Cincinnati Animal Care, and have received additional training that allows me to provide excellent, customized care for your pets. I currently work as a Nanny from 11-3, M-F. I am home and available before/after and my assistant will be available during the hours I am not. My home offers several amenities for your fur babies, including a fenced in backyard, dog pool, private room for rest and feeding, and lots of toys and interaction.
About: I have grown up with dogs all my life and started pet sitting when I was 14. I have looked after many different animals including dogs, cats, lizards, and a spider! I have experience with puppies, kittens, senior animals and animals with disabilities as well. I am currently working a part time job so I will have plenty of time to walk and play with your pets! If I am needed on an hourly basis, let me know two weeks beforehand so I can schedule time off work. I can stay overnight at your house if needed I will not bring your pets over to my home because my own dog is unsure about other animals. I like to stay with the animals for two hours each time I check in on them to keep them company and to play with them. I can also stay overnight and all day if needed.
“Jarrod was a fantastic dog sitter for our 3 pups while we were gone for the weekend! He is very friendly and easy to work with. During his stay, the dogs got plenty of attention and walks; we got plenty of pictures and updates. One of our dogs can be untrusting of strangers, but he quickly warmed up to Jarrod. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for top quality services.”
“Andrea is the BEST!! Literally book her while you still can!!!! It was my first time using Rover for my kitten and I was super anxious about everything but I quickly realized she is in great hands with Andrea! She connected with my kitten and learned what she likes and treated her like her own fur baby! Andrea sent me updates and pictures through out which gave me lots of reassurance. Andrea stayed at my apartment and left it so clean and perfect! Also, Andrea is literally just the sweetest person you will ever meet and you can tell she genuinely cares and wants the best for your pet!!! I cannot say enough great things about her!!”

About: I spent 9 years in Alaska raising, training, racing, and caring for sled dogs, including successfully completing the 2018 Iditarod. During that time, I was responsible for the daily care, health, exercise, feeding, and wellbeing of large teams of dogs in all types of conditions. My experience includes caring for multiple dogs at once, managing high-energy and working breeds, administering medications, monitoring health and behavior, and recognizing the nuances of how dogs communicate. I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels—from laid-back seniors to strong, active dogs that require confident handling and structure. I also enjoy working with puppies and young dogs. I'm familiar with potty schedules, crate routines, basic obedience reinforcement, and helping young dogs develop good habits through consistency and positive interactions. Whether your dog(s) wants to go on an adventurous walk, a dependable drop-in visit, or attentive overnight care, I treat every dog as if they were my own and just want to provide a safe, reliable, and stress-free experience for both pets and their owners. Special Experience: • 9 years raising, training, and caring for sled dogs • Finisher of the 2018 Iditarod • Experienced with multi-dog households • Comfortable with high-energy and working breeds • Puppy and young dog care experience • Medication administration • Experience with senior dogs and special care needs • Strong leash handling and dog behavior awareness I am currently working full time, with a somewhat abnormal schedule. I am available on weekends, and some other evenings and mornings. I work 7am to 4pm one week, then 10am to 7pm the next week. I can not accommodate pets in my own home at this time. I am happy to travel to, stay with and take care of others' pets and their property.
About: I have experience with taking care of friends and families pets, keeping things cleaned and on the correct feeding schedule. I was a bather at a dog grooming salon for the last 3 years where we specialized in aggressive and senior dogs. So I have experience with handling all personality types and dealing with them in a safe manner. I can trim nails and polish them as well as bathe and dry a dog. As of right now I am doing this full time so I have plenty of time to care for other people's pets. I have a set schedule on here to try and keep things organized but it never hurts to ask if I'm willing to do another day. I currently don't have the space to have someone else's pet at my home as it's a small space with 2 cats already but will respect the rules of the clients home and ensure their pet stays safely on their property or when we go on walks.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Furmandale
Adrienne is possibly our dogs favorite human on the planet. Whenever we come home from a trip, the dogs are comfy and happy and have very obviously had so much fun! This particular trip there was also a scary moment when a tornado passed nearby in the middle of the night and Adrienne got herself and both dogs to shelter before the danger arrived. Thankfully everything severe missed our neighborhood, but we appreciate how safe she kept our dogs safe and also kept us updated! We love her so much!

We love Tonia! She was fantastic with our two treasured pups. She was attentive, loving, and very clean/ organized, which always makes coming home a delight. She made sure to send a lot of pictures so we always knew our babies were well cared for. 100% recommend!

Kristen was amazing! This was our first time using Rover.com and we are so fortunate that we found a perfect match for our needs for a house sitter and a dog sitter on short notice! We got great pics and updates while we were out and Kristen was so conscientious with her time in the house. What a blessing and peace of mind for us while we were out of town. Highly recommend!

Raven does an excellent job. Very conscientious. Thinks ahead. She took excellent care of my Sugar and was responsive to my requests for updates & pictures of my baby. Super flexible. I would recommend Raven without a second thought to anyone that needs care for their fur baby.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Furmandale walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Furmandale maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Furmandale choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Furmandale. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
