“Jessica was the best! She sent us lots of updates and took amazing care of our little fur babies. Our pets can be high maintenance but nothing was too much for Jessica! We got lots of pictures of our pets during our vacation which gave us a good peace of mind and allowed us to enjoy our trip. We definitely will be using her in the future!”

“Noa always does a great job, and I don’t usually leave comments, but this time I felt I had to. I was on the verge of cancelling my trip because my anxiety ridden doggo was having some loose bowels in the most inconvenient and public places, after being scared of the maintenance workers that recently visited. Then upon being so excited to see his buddy, Noa, decided to release that excitement in a very stinky way. Not to get too graphic, but I need to illustrate this so you know that Noa really went above and beyond to treat my Bandit like family. Noa was right there helping me clean up in the midst of my profuse apologies. I got tons of adorable and funny photos of Bandit in his doggy diaper, and I was so relieved he was in good hands while I was away. Noa gives frequent updates, and has truly gotten to know my boys. This is why I rebook over and over and over again.”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I currently have a cat and a 3 year old pit/cattle dog mix. I have owned multiple dogs over the years, including reactive dogs, which gave me hands on experience with different personalities, behaviors, and needs. I worked closely with a professional trainer in the past and gained a lot of confidence in handling and understanding dogs of all kinds. Because my entire family has dogs, I’m constantly around animals and genuinely love spending time caring for them. I understand that every pet is different and that some are energetic and social, while others need patience, structure, and a calm approach. Whether your pet loves playtime, walks, cuddles, or just having a comforting presence around, I’ll make sure they feel safe, cared for, and loved while you’re away! I currently work full time Monday-Friday from 7-4, however I am fully remote and my job is relatively flexible. Working from home makes life easy as I can bring my laptop anywhere, (with your permission) and work while attending to your fur babies ☺️. I am fully available on weekends and most holidays as well! While I’d love to welcome every pet into my home, I have a reactive dog of my own, so I currently only offer care in clients’ homes through drop ins, walks, and house sitting. The safety and comfort of your pets and mine will always come first 💕
“We loved having Andrea stay with our 2 cats and dog while we were out of town. Andrea was very communicative and we could tell from all the pictures that they warmed up to Andrea very quickly. Thank you so much for a couple of stress free days!!”

About: i’ve been around dogs my whole life! my favorite being german shepherds but my love for dogs in general is unconditional. cats are definitely growing on me as well. pets are nothing new to me and i’d love to get to know yours!! I have a somewhat flexible schedule. i am available throughout weekdays as well as weekends. However, I do work and go to college, but i want to dedicate the time i do have to taking care of your pets! i’ve had dogs for pets for as long as i can remember so it’s safe to say your dog and i will get along very well. cats are undeniably drawn to me for some reason and i embrace it every time. i have a fence around my house for my german shepherd, Amelia. i love taking her for walks and i’ll do the same for you dogs. i love cuddling with my girlfriends cats and i’m sure your cats will be very happy to hear they can have some love from me too!
About: Hi, I’m Nicole! For me, pet care has never been a side job—it’s always been part of who I am. For more than 20 years, I’ve volunteered with veterinary clinics, no-kill shelters, SPCAs, rescue organizations, kennels, and dog daycares, caring for animals of every age, breed, personality, and need. Throughout my life, people have joked that animals are simply drawn to me, and honestly, it’s one of the greatest compliments I could receive. Building trust with them comes naturally, and there’s nothing more rewarding than watching an anxious dog relax, a shy dog gain confidence, or an excited pup light up when they realize it’s time for our next adventure. After spending years as a Business Operations Manager, my company unexpectedly closed after 108 years in business. Rather than simply finding another corporate job, I decided to follow the passion that’s been in my heart all along—devoting my time to caring for animals. This isn’t something I’m squeezing into an already busy schedule. This is my career. My availability is intentionally built around the pets I care for, which means your dog receives my full attention, flexibility, and commitment. Every service I provide is designed as a boutique, concierge experience, thoughtfully tailored to your family’s routine and your pet’s unique personality, needs, and happiness at every turn. Whether we’re exploring a trail, playing enrichment games, keeping routines consistent while you’re away, or simply sharing quiet companionship, my goal is always the same: to make your pet feel safe, understood, loved, and genuinely excited to see me every time I arrive. I don’t want to be someone who just walks your dog or checks a box on your to-do list. I want to become someone your pet trusts, looks forward to, and feels completely comfortable with—while giving you absolute peace of mind knowing they’re being cared for with the same love, patience, and devotion I give my own dogs, Bubba and Pippa, who are truly family to me. Caring for animals isn’t something I fit into my day—it’s what I intentionally make time for. Every service I provide is personalized and thoughtfully tailored to both your pet and your family’s unique routine, preferences, and lifestyle. I take the time to understand what makes your companion feel safe, happy, and comfortable while also making your time away as stress-free as possible. Whether it’s adventure walks, enrichment, puppy or kitten guidance, medication administration, senior support, transportation, or simply maintaining familiar routines, every visit is designed around your pet’s individual needs. My goal is to become a trusted extension of your family, providing dependable, compassionate care and giving you complete peace of mind. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and emotional well-being will always be my highest priorities. Every service I provide is thoughtfully personalized—not just for your pet, but for your entire family. I take time to learn your routines, preferences, house rules, training methods, and expectations so my care feels like a seamless extension of your own. I strictly follow all pet parent instructions, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise limitations, behavioral cues, crate or free-roam preferences, and any special care needs. Consistency helps pets feel secure, so I strive to maintain the routines they’re already comfortable with. For exercise and enrichment, I carefully choose safe, pet-friendly environments. Depending on your comfort level and your pet’s personality, adventures may include favorite neighborhood walking routes, trusted dog parks, nature trails, or supervised play on a private, family-owned seven-acre property with large, securely fenced areas where dogs can safely explore, sniff, and play. Every outing is tailored to your pet’s age, temperament, energy level, and training. Whether I’m caring for an energetic puppy, a curious cat, a senior companion, or a pet with medical or behavioral needs, I prioritize patience, positive reinforcement, enrichment, and careful observation. You’ll receive thoughtful updates, photos, videos, and honest communication after every visit because I know you’re trusting me with a beloved member of your family. My goal is never to simply “watch” your pet—it’s to become a trusted, familiar friend they genuinely look forward to seeing while giving you complete confidence that they’re receiving the same love, attention, and care I’d give my own.
“Shannon is the absolute GREATEST! She’s professional, communicative and took amazing care of our animals. She’s not our first Rover but I'm hoping she’ll be our last! I am so relieved we found her and will always be our go to for when we need our pets looked after. 11/10. Thank you Shannon!”

“Rowan was amazing! We have two dogs and three cats that she took great care of. We got pictures and updates everyday we were gone. She played with everyone and gave them all plenty of love! I definitely recommend her to take care of your fur babies!”

“This was the most relaxing trip I have had in a long time. I felt at ease, and if I ever wanted an update or more photos I was quickly accommodated. One of the most professional, reliable, and honorable pet sitting experiences I have had in a long time. 10/10 would book again.”

“Leslie was very helpful! she was able to make last minute plans for us with adjustments to our timing too. she provided daily updates and she definitely cared for our cat who had had a very minor surgery right before a family trip. Highly recommend! Thanks!”

About: I’ve been around and loving animals my whole life. I have had my dog Copper since I was a puppy and as he has gotten older I have learned how to care for older senior dogs and the responsibility that comes with that. My more recent pup, Buckley, I got a couple years ago. I trained and raised her myself so I also have experience with puppy care as well. While pursuing my undergraduate degree I volunteered at an Animal Shelter as a pet adoption counselor and dog walker, so I have lots of experience with a wide variety of breeds and pet safety. I currently have a 2 year old cat named Cleo that I am the sole caretaker for, and have a lot of experience cat sitting as well. As a first-year Doctor of Physical Therapy student at UC, I spend a lot of time at my desk studying and would love a furry study buddy! My class schedule fluctuates week-to-week between 9 AM and 4 PM, so I am generally unavailable for midday check-ins during the week (unless you live right next to campus). However, my evenings and weekends are completely wide open and dedicated to pet care. I love going for long walks to clear my head after class and am more than willing to house-sit and spend the night. Your pet will get plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship when I am off campus! With my background as a dog walker and shelter adoption counselor, I am fully trained in pet safety, reading animal body language, handling worst-case scenarios, and administering medications. Because I have experience with both energetic puppies and senior dogs, I easily adapt to whatever level of care and attention your pet requires, making sure they get at least one good walk a day or a fun weekend trip to a local park or hike. I am also passionate about feline enrichment and love setting up daily toy rotations or interactive puzzles to keep cats mentally stimulated and happy. To ensure your pet stays completely comfortable in their own routine and to keep my own cat happy at home, I exclusively provide care in your home and am more than happy to house-sit and spend the night so your furry family member gets plenty of evening cuddles, consistent companionship, and the best care possible!

“Elizabeth took excellent care of my 3 dogs while we were away. Her communication and pictures (girls always looked happy) were great. Came home to clean house. I will definitely book her again!”

Tonia is an amazing person! She took care of our Bubbles as if she were her own puppy. She has excellent communication skills and kept us updated throughout Bubbles’ stay. We felt completely at ease knowing Bubbles was in such loving and capable hands. We highly recommend Tonia and would definitely trust her with Bubbles again!

Patrice was awesome! She came for a meet and greet and the dogs loved her from the start. On the day we left she arrived on time and communicated frequently and effectively. We appreciated the photos and messages she sent and the dogs were happy. We will definitely ask her to watch them again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Greenhills on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 1,380 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Greenhills. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Greenhills walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Greenhills maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Greenhills choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Greenhills. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
