“Noa did a phenomenal job taking care of my boys. She made sure they were good, sent plenty of pictures and videos and even stayed longer sometimes to make sure they weren’t by themselves too long. Would definitely recommend and use again! They were in great hands”

About: I love the dedication and unconditional love that dogs provide their human companions. I will admit that personally I have cats, and they just don't do that all the time :) I have dog-sat for friends over several years providing feedings, walks, and playtime to Malteses to German Shepards. I love getting to know each dog and treating them as if they were my own, which means they are usually going to be pretty pampered. If your dog needs specialized care, I would be willing to learn. I don't really know what specialized care entails for a dog, but feel free to message me and we can discuss. I am a high school teacher so my availability is afternoon/evenings and weekends during the school year but wide open once it is the summertime. My cats are not used to dogs, so caring for dogs in my home would mean they would be spending time outside. However taking care of dogs in their home allows them to be comfortable, have rub my belly sessions (if that's what they like), and take walks in the area that they are most comfortable.
“Patrice was fantastic housesitting for our elderly dog and young pup for a week. They had great care and Patrice kept us well-informed when one of the dogs didn’t seem to feel well for a day or so. It was a great comfort to have someone who cares so much about animals and their well-being looking after the dogs while we were away!”

“Raven does an excellent job. Very conscientious. Thinks ahead. She took excellent care of my Sugar and was responsive to my requests for updates & pictures of my baby. Super flexible. I would recommend Raven without a second thought to anyone that needs care for their fur baby.”

“Kirstey did such a wonderful job taking care of my cat Lulu. I came home from a 4 day trip to a neat and clean home, the cat was happy and well fed and taken care of. Kirstey sent so many photos and kept me up to date on how Lulu was doing and how she was taking her meds. Very communicative sitter and sweet person. I’ll definitely book again.”

About: I am a responsible mom of kids and animals. I currently have 3 dogs and 2 cats. From a young age, I have had many pets, worked in a vet office and volunteered at an animal shelter. We have fostered many dogs and cats. I love animals, and I will love your animals as if they were my own. I can give medication, walk them or even take them to dog parks. We take our dogs camping, hiking, and kayaking and they love it. I am a homeschool mom of teenagers. This means I am flexible on my time and availability. We are home a lot, so your pets are not left alone long. I have a fenced-in yard, and I can attend to almost anything your pets would need or the client would like me to do to care for their pet.
“Jana was great! She was able to fill in for a last minute weekend cancellation- which saved our work trip. She was very communicative throughout the entire stay, and she sent us lots of pictures of our pups! I will definitely use her again in the future.”

“Elizabeth did a great job watching my dog for the week! My dog can be anxious around new people, but she warmed right up to Elizabeth. I came home to a clean house and a very happy dog!”

“Megan and Lee are awesome! It was so lovely getting to do a meet and greet before we left on our trip. They took wonderful care of the pets and I really enjoyed getting photos of the happy animals while we were away.”

“I would highly recommend Andrea. Andrea is an amazing pet sitter. She’s a great communicator, and she’s never given us reason to worry about her arriving on time or leaving early. Andrea has stayed in our home several days now and leaves little to no trace that she was there. Our animals love her and she follows all my notes, so they get the best care when I’m away. Because of Andrea, I can take guilt- and worry-free trips.”

“Eric was incredible. He accepted our last minute request and came over with a great attitude and was very professional. And our dog LOVED him, we could tell right away that Eric is a dog person. Great experience with Eric, would definitely hire again!”

About: I have owned dogs/cats since I was a very small child and have cared for them like they were my siblings/children every time. I currently have an 11yo cat, Diesel, that is my heart and joy! My long term bubbie was a Rottweiler/husky mix that was with my family for 14 amazing years, and we have cared for countless foster dogs since then. In addition I care for friends/coworkers/others dogs regularly and get glowing reviews the dogs are relaxed and at peace when the owner returns home vs experiencing separation anxiety. I am a teacher, my summers are free giving me the availability to be attentive to your furry loved ones during this time while you vacation! I am very affectionate with my cat and ensure all his needs are met the moment he makes me aware of them. Same for my clients’ pets, the slightest whimper or upset sound I will tend to them and figure out what has disturbed them until we’re able to settle back into a comfortable space in the home. This is usually when I do overnight stays and the pets get anxious.
“Thanks again for watching Mia and Brutus while we were away! We loved all the pictures and updates ❤️ it was nice to know they were in good hands with someone like you who loves dogs. Thanks again! If anyone is looking for a pet sitter-I highly recommend Adrienne!”

About: Hi there! I am an experienced and responsible dog owner and would love to help with your companion while you are away. I have owned and loved dogs of all shapes and sizes throughout my adult life, and have experience with various breeds and temperament. My wonderful 14 year old Carolina Dog, Jack, crossed the rainbow bridge earlier this year, and I am excited to open my heart to your beloved furry friend. I currently volunteer through Cincinnati Animal Care, and have received additional training that allows me to provide excellent, customized care for your pets. I currently work as a Nanny from 11-3, M-F. I am home and available before/after and my assistant will be available during the hours I am not. My home offers several amenities for your fur babies, including a fenced in backyard, dog pool, private room for rest and feeding, and lots of toys and interaction.
“Colleen is a joy to work with. She has a positive attitude and truly enjoys working with our 3 dogs. She even gave us advice our one of puppies health as she was previously a vet tech. I will definitely use Colleen’s services again and recommend her as a dog sitter. It’s nice to see someone so enthusiastic about playing with my dogs. I know they are in good hands!”

“Janet was great with Z and so patient with his stubborn attitude. She communicated so well the whole time and even met us ahead of time so that he was comfortable with her. We will definitely be using again.”

About: My family has had dogs since before I was born! I’ve been around dogs my entire life, and know how to take care of fur babies of all ages :) Almost four years ago I adopted my first cat. Fast forward to today, I am now a mother of two orange special needs kitties. They are my world 🌎 ❤️🐾 I currently work part time and go to school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On school days, class starts at 9 and I will have an hour and a half between classes to let a pet out to go to the bathroom, feed them, or give them medication. Then I have another class from 1-3. After that, I will be totally free to assist any pets. I also work part time 3-4 days when I do not have school. These are usually 6-8 hour shifts, but I can adjust feedings/walking/medication administration around these times. And when in doubt, I have several well regarded Rover friends that are willing to help out on my longer shifts, with client approval. :-) I have space to keep a crate for overnight visits and live in an apartment complex with some green space to walk and explore. I am also only a few minutes away from five different parks, so lots of options to check out. I have two cats that are dog friendly, but can be separated if the dog is not cat friendly !
“Crystal went above and beyond taking care of my pittie and cat. She sent lots of photos, communicated frequently, and left the house very tidy!”

Jessica stayed with our dogs for a brief house sit and I think our dogs miss her! She spent so much time with them and sent frequent updates on what everyone was up to, which was very much appreciated. Will absolutely book with her again and would recommend her to anyone.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Forest Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Forest Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Forest Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Forest Park. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
