Jess is hands down the best pup nanny I’ve had from Rover. Henry was so happy when I got home, usually he’s not after I’ve been on a trip. He was playful like a puppy! Jess sends the best photos throughout the day and updates regularly. My house was in perfect condition, maybe even better than how I left it, and she left a light on for me when returning at night. Incredibly thoughtful and kind 🫶🏻 hire Jess, you won’t regret it!

Andrea did an amazing job watching our 4 month old blue heeler pup 'Tillie' and our low maintenance dude cat 'Pickles'. She was at our home for almost 12 hours and kept the pup from getting into trouble. She's still in that biting/chewing stage and loves electrical cords. Andrea sent me photos of the pets throughout the day and I was extremely assured that we had the right person to watch them both. Thank you Andrea! I'm looking forward to the next time!

Patrice was fantastic housesitting for our elderly dog and young pup for a week. They had great care and Patrice kept us well-informed when one of the dogs didn’t seem to feel well for a day or so. It was a great comfort to have someone who cares so much about animals and their well-being looking after the dogs while we were away!

About: My family has had dogs since before I was born! I’ve been around dogs my entire life, and know how to take care of fur babies of all ages :) Almost four years ago I adopted my first cat. Fast forward to today, I am now a mother of two orange special needs kitties. They are my world 🌎 ❤️🐾 I currently work part time and go to school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On school days, class starts at 9 and I will have an hour and a half between classes to let a pet out to go to the bathroom, feed them, or give them medication. Then I have another class from 1-3. After that, I will be totally free to assist any pets. I also work part time 3-4 days when I do not have school. These are usually 6-8 hour shifts, but I can adjust feedings/walking/medication administration around these times. And when in doubt, I have several well regarded Rover friends that are willing to help out on my longer shifts, with client approval. :-) I have space to keep a crate for overnight visits and live in an apartment complex with some green space to walk and explore. I am also only a few minutes away from five different parks, so lots of options to check out. I have two cats that are dog friendly, but can be separated if the dog is not cat friendly !

About: I was blessed to have grown up around a multitude of pets! I have had an animals in the my house since I was three years old - 3 cats, 2 dogs, and 2 birds! I took care of my first dog, besides my own, starting when I was 11 years old for a neighbor and have done it consistently since. I have experience with young and old animals, including ones with daily medications. I'm a senior in college so I have some flexibility throughout the week! I can attend to your furry friends throughout the day and into the evening. I work to ensure that your pets are comfortable within their environment through low-energy introductions to their spaces. I am a Cincinnati-native, and have all the best parks to go for walks in my back pocket. I am comfortable enforcing rules and expectations pertaining to things like furniture use, locking entrances, and crating.

Noa always does a great job, and I don’t usually leave comments, but this time I felt I had to. I was on the verge of cancelling my trip because my anxiety ridden doggo was having some loose bowels in the most inconvenient and public places, after being scared of the maintenance workers that recently visited. Then upon being so excited to see his buddy, Noa, decided to release that excitement in a very stinky way. Not to get too graphic, but I need to illustrate this so you know that Noa really went above and beyond to treat my Bandit like family. Noa was right there helping me clean up in the midst of my profuse apologies. I got tons of adorable and funny photos of Bandit in his doggy diaper, and I was so relieved he was in good hands while I was away. Noa gives frequent updates, and has truly gotten to know my boys. This is why I rebook over and over and over again.

Kirstey sent so many photos and kept me up to date on how Lulu was doing and how she was taking her meds. Very communicative sitter and sweet person. I’ll definitely book again.

This was my first time leaving Greta in my house with a sitter from Rover, so I was a little nervous. There was absolutely no need, as Crystal was amazing and surpassed my expectations. I could tell right away that Greta really liked her, and based on the pictures I received, Greta was having a blast and was very well taken care of. I also loved how Crystal cleaned up and kept everything how I’d left it. Much appreciated after coming home from a long travel day! Would absolutely use Crystal again!

About: Hello! I’m excited to meet your furry babies! I’ve had the joy of rescuing 15 dogs and 10 cats throughout my life. My family has banned me from volunteering at the shelter after I foster failed our three rescue pitties, all from Cincinnati Animal CARE. Currently, my home includes our three dogs, two cats, and a bearded dragon. My consulting business (nonprofit leadership and management) allows me to work from home and enjoy a flexible schedule. As a new empty nester, I have free time that I'd love to fill caring for your babies. I have experience caring for pets of all ages— from playful puppies and kittens to loving seniors. I can assist with everything from potty training and medication administration to wound care. As a responsible professional and avid pet lover, I promise to treat your pets as if they were my own! 🐶🐱 I work from home and am available 24/7 to care for your pets. With dogs of our own, our routine is perfectly set up for all potty, feeding, playing, and sleeping needs. In our house, pets reign supreme! I have a fenced yard and three friendly and playful dogs who will keep your pup company. I'm happiest when I have a dog snuggling next to me on the couch or a cat on my lap, and your pets will be well loved.

About: I love the dedication and unconditional love that dogs provide their human companions. I will admit that personally I have cats, and they just don't do that all the time :) I have dog-sat for friends over several years providing feedings, walks, and playtime to Malteses to German Shepards. I love getting to know each dog and treating them as if they were my own, which means they are usually going to be pretty pampered. If your dog needs specialized care, I would be willing to learn. I don't really know what specialized care entails for a dog, but feel free to message me and we can discuss. I am a high school teacher so my availability is afternoon/evenings and weekends during the school year but wide open once it is the summertime. My cats are not used to dogs, so caring for dogs in my home would mean they would be spending time outside. However taking care of dogs in their home allows them to be comfortable, have rub my belly sessions (if that's what they like), and take walks in the area that they are most comfortable.

FAQs for House Sitting - New Burlington

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in New Burlington on Rover is $66.6 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 1,408 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across New Burlington. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred New Burlington walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in New Burlington maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in New Burlington choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in New Burlington. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
