“My cat really needs human attention but she's also pretty good at telling when a person isn't interested and gives up. If a person is pro-cat, she will lick and be adorable wanting to be held and petted...until she doesn't. She also likes some people more than others for reasons only cats know. My cat immediately loved Helen during the meet and greet. I could tell Helen can read how to handle her without crossing her "boundaries", and enjoys doing so. She followed drop-in instructions well and sent lots of cute pictures.”

“They’ve cared for our littles twice now and are absolutely amazing! Extremely fast responses and always check in before/after visits. I know our cats truly adore them and love on them each time. Wouldn’t trust anyone else!”

About: I’ve had pets my entire life, mostly dogs but a few cats as well. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, I’ve had pets on both ends of the size spectrum. My sweet girl passed away last fall, I miss the companionship but not quite ready to adopt again emotionally. In the meantime, I spend as much time as possible loving any dog I can! I’m currently in between jobs and considering a career change so my days are wide open. My day starts with a walk around the neighborhood with my senior greyhound, but she’s typically done for the day after that, leaving me lots of time to spread the love. I understand that each dogs needs are specific to their backgrounds and breeds, therefore I strive to accommodate each dog so that they can be happy and healthy and their parents can be put at ease.

“Erin has been absolutely AMAZING for us and our sweet boxer puppy! We have needed a pet sitter for the first 2 months having our puppy and Erin has gone above and beyond with her. She takes her on walks, plays with her, socializes her with others, makes sure she has plenty of food and water and is just everything we could have asked for in a pet sitter, we HIGHLY recommend!!!”

“Anna is very kind and took great care of our cat Lola. She’s also very professional and great with communication. We’ll definitely check with Anna on her availability the next time we need a sitter.”

“So very blessed to have had Thi My Hahn take care of Tiger cat. She was amazing sending pictures while I was on a trip. She was AWESOME. Will definitely want Thi again when I travel again. Thanks so much Rover for helping connect to Thi for Tiger cat”

About: Hi, I’m Kyree, a dedicated dog lover with one year of experience caring for dogs. I’ve dog sat before, including a week-long stay, and I’ve personally raised my own dogs to be well-behaved and smart through daily care, patience, and consistency. 🐾 Caring for dogs fits easily into my daily routine because I enjoy being outside and staying active. I plan to do this as a part-time job, and dog walking allows me to combine my love for dogs with exercise, fresh air, and positive interaction. When I care for dogs in a client’s home, I treat them like my own. On walks, I make sure they feel comfortable and safe, get plenty of exercise, bathroom breaks, fresh water, and lots of positive attention while following the owner’s routine.
“Geneva is a very patient pet sitter! I had a bit of trouble with my booking and she helped me through it and never made me feel bad about it. Would definitely recommend her and use her services again.”

“Lindsey did a great job loving on our baby while we were gone. She even brought in our packages which we were super grateful for. We will 100% use her the next time we are out of town!”

“Brianna is amazing we have used her services countless time and she cas continued to respect our home and treat our fur babies like her own! 10/10 recommend! Thank you Brianna!!”

About: “Get $20 off your first booking” https://www.rover.com/sit/timmeh11840 I’ve had dogs since I was a kid. Friends and family often reach out to me to take on pets that need fostered or just needs to be watched for a couple of days because they know I’ll treat them with love and compassion. Between my husband and I someone will be home. I do work part time and my husband also works but some days we work opposite so most days someone will definitely be at home. I provide a safe, loving, and comfortable environment for dogs in my home. I have a fenced-in backyard where they can safely play and get fresh air. Inside, I make sure they have cozy places to rest, fresh water available at all times, and a consistent feeding schedule based on their needs. I enjoy going on walks, giving them attention, and sticking to any routines or instructions their owners provide—whether that’s special diets or medications. Most of all, I treat them like part of the family, making sure they feel happy and secure while they’re with me.
“Finally got this App to work!!! Thanks for a fantastic visit session! My boys looked as happy as they would be with me! Keep up the amazing work and thanks again! 😊😊😊😊☺️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Thank you so much for taking care of our babies. We are so thankful that you could be here while we were out!! Thanks for helping us by listening to the ways that we care for them and following through so they could be as comfortable as possible while we were away.”

“Austin did an amazing job and took care of our dog, Echo, who is quite a lot to deal with. He sent updates via message and pictures in addition. You can tell he really loves dogs and is happy to be doing what he is doing. Thank you!”

“Jordan Did an amazing job! One of my dogs is very apprehensive of strangers but Jordan got her to trust him and was patient with her. He followed all provided instructions well! I definitely recommend him and will be using his services again!”

About: I have never worked professionally as a dog sitter or walker, but all my life I have grown up taking care of animals, dogs in specific but I don’t discriminate. I love all animals and I’m willing to learn/adapt to each owner’s preferences as well as their pets. What sets me a part is I will care for your animals like they are my own. I currently just graduated high school early so I have a little bit of more unexpected time on my hands before hopefully going to college for nursing in the fall so in the meantime, I wanted to spend my free time doing something I like, which is taking care of animals and giving families the feeling of relief and trust with their pet sitter. I personally have two English bulldogs both over 50 pounds who I take care of every single day from Vet appointments to the basic and extra responsibilities and I love them with my whole heart. At my house we have a fenced backyard that they normally run around in with my supervision, but as well as walking them around my neighborhood.
“Astro Otis and Teddy love Elmer! Elmer is a regular and they love playing with him. He’s a natural with dogs and does well with the mom and son duo. We are happy that Elmer is part of the fam !”

I am a fellow sitter that needed a sitter for my cat. Jediah is friendly and responsible. She was attentive during our video-chat meet-and-greet and communicated throughout the process. Our cat was happy when we got home which shows me that she provided amazing care. I definitely recommend Jediah.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
