“Angela took absolutely fabulous care of River while I was away! From chicken dinners, trips to the dog park for fetch, and even adventures downtown for pup cups. River was a happy dog and loved every minute with her. I would absolutely trust Angela again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing Rover sitter!”

“Melissa was so thoughtful and kind to both Daisy and I. It was our first time leaving Daisy since we adopted her. Melissa took the time to let us visit her home for a meet-and -greet and sniffs of her property a few days before Daisy’s stay. Melissa was so thoughtful and attentive to Daisy’s needs. I have no doubt that Daisy is in good hands with Melissa .”

“Leslie was a wonderful sitter for Lola. We have used her twice and she will continue to be our go-to whenever we're in Guernville. She has a great house perfect for dogs and she was incredibly easy going. Would highly recommend!”

“I would highly recommend Crystal! She took great care of my dog while I was away. She sent pictures on a regular basis and was quick to respond. She took him to Petco and was sweet enough to send him home with a treat. Her dog Rosie was a great playmate too. 5 stars!”

“We had a dog care need come up with two weeks notice and Sheila was able to help us out. This was our first time using Rover for a sitter or boarding and Sheila (with her husband) made Rory feel at home. She got her cuddles, scritches, treats and a big yard to run after the ball. I loved the updates and pictures of Rory enjoying her weekend doggy getaway.”

“Gabriel & Laura we’ were amazing care giver for my two dogs. They went above and beyond in caring for my dogs, and they also sent adorable pictures that assured me my dogs were doing great!”

“Gib and Bijou were very well taken care of - Nancy was super kind and allowed us to pick them up very early on the morning we picked them up. Highly recommend. Thank you Nancy!”

“This was my first experience using Rover, and I couldn’t have asked for a better one. I received daily updates and pictures, which really helped ease my anxiety while I was away for a few days. It was clear that my sweet girl was well taken care of, happy, and comfortable the entire time. I’m so grateful for the care Steven provided and the communication. We will definitely book with him again!”

“Heather and her sweet dogs and doggie daycare pack made for a very good first time boarding experience for my 2 senior, kinda high maintenance, terrier mixes while I took a short business trip. They were well taken care of, including daily medications, and lots of playtime with the other dogs to keep them busy and they were in good spirits when I picked them up. I’m so grateful to have found Heather and hopefully she will have us back ?”

From the moment we dropped them off, it was clear our pups were in loving, capable hands. Shayla and Jacob kept us updated with photos and messages throughout the week. Our dogs came back happy, healthy, and completely at ease, which speaks volumes about the care they received. We couldn’t have asked for a better family to look after our furry friends. Shayla and Jacob truly treated them as part of their own family. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet-sitting experience!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Freestone
Jennifer was incredible with our young (and wild) golden. He got all the exercise, discipline, and care he needed, all in scenic nature surroundings. She even helped with a pesky ear infection. Best of all, her well-trained pack was there to assist in socializing the wild child. Thank you, Jennifer!

Jen was absolutely wonderful with our dogs while we were away. She is very communicative, was flexible when some of our plans changed, and we received so many great updates and photos during their stay. After this experience with Jen, we feel very confident and comfortable leaving our babies with Jen when we can't take them with us. Highly recommend!

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
