About: I am a life long dog lover, who will care for your loved ones as if they were my own. I have a way with dogs to make them feel at ease and happy. On weekdays, I currently have some mid-day availability for Dog Walking and Drop-In Visits. Feel free to reach out to me so we can setup a meet and greet! I am looking forward to getting to know you! My initial meeting will be to earn the trust of you and your dog. Nothing is more important. I want to let you know that your dogs safety and your comfort is my highest priority!
About: As a lifelong animal lover with years of experience in pet care, I understand that every pet has their own unique needs. I pride myself on having a strong sense of animal behavior and adjusting care accordingly to each individual pet’s temperament. I have a great deal of experience with senior pets and/or pets with a strict medication regimen. I understand that these animals often need additional patience and compassion and I am always striving to reliably provide such care. This includes administering edible, topical, and injectable medications. I have experience with dogs of all shapes and sizes as well as cats and small animals (birds, fish, reptiles, etc) so you can rest assured that your beloved critters are in good hands! I do my best to be communicative so I am always willing to discuss any additional details or concerns with my clients. My main goal in pet care is to provide reliable and respectful service that keeps your furry friend happy and gives you peace of mind in knowing they are properly cared for while you are away. I hope that I get to meet you and your pets very soon! Pet care is currently my main focus so my weekly schedule is almost always open. I am extremely flexible with scheduling which means I will be available to do reoccurring visits or extended pet sitting if need be. I have my own transportation so I am happy to make visits that are a bit out of my area as well. I have worked in professional pet care for 7+ years which has including both daily dog walking and overnight house-sitting. Being respectful of my client’s pets and their homes is of utmost importance to me. As well as pet sitting I am more than happy to take on other house-sitting responsibilities such as watering plants and bringing in mail/packages. I always appreciate strong communication and always do my best to provide prompt updates while you are away
About: I have been taking care of all kinds of pets since childhood. I have an interest in all kinds of animals and I do not mind doing the dirty work to take care of them. I currently work 8-5 on weekdays, often ending at 4 or 4:30. I wake up early and can fit pet care into my morning before work and directly following work. In the morning, I can provide food and time outside/play time, and directly after work, I can provide a walk/exercise outside, and I can visit more times later in the evening as well. On weekends, I can come at any time of day, as many times as needed. I have a reliable form of transportation in the form of my own car, and I can very easily get from place to place. I live in the Frankfort suburbs, not too far from many places. In my own home, my pets stay in the house, and the dog is regularly taken outside for the bathroom, as well as getting walked once a day, sometimes twice. The cats do not go outside, and their litter gets cleaned once a day, but I can do more for your own pet. The dog is fed twice a day, and the cats are fed wet food once a day, with dry food available throughout the day.
“Robin did a fantastic job checking-in and walking my dogs while I was out of town. She sent pictures of the pets while she was at the house and gave a summary of her visit once she left. I will definitely use her services in the future and recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and dependable person to look after their pets.”

“I highly recommend Peggy! She watched our 2 cats for over a week, and I will definitely be a repeat client. During our meet & greet she paid close attention and asked follow up questions to make sure she fully understood the care instructions. Peggy is also very communicative. She really gave me peace-of-mind.”

“Jennifer was always on time for her visits with our pups! She seemed to have gone above and beyond to ensure our dogs were comfortable while we were away. You can tell she’s very loving and provides extra detail and attention. Would highly recommend!”
“We booked Michelle and Christy last minute because our usual sitter was unavailable. They were great with our cats and provided pics, videos, and notes while we were away. We would use them again if our usual sitter happens to be unavailable again.”

About: I have been a dog mom (owner) for 12 years. I have also fostered 6+ dogs over the years. While I am comfortable watching all dogs, I have additional experience with senior dogs, special-need dogs, dogs on medications, and doggie anxiety. I also dog sat for many dogs over the years as well. I'm currently only working freelance so I have tons of time to take your dog on walks and give them extra attention. I wake up around 6-7 and make sure they get as long of a walk as they need, plus play time, and lots of love and attention. I will treat your dog like my own. I will respect, however wherever your dog sleeps. In their bed, with me, in a crate. My goal is to keep your dog on the schedule and routine they are used so they feel safe, happy, and loved in your home while you are away.

Thanks for helping out last minute with drop in visits with our Staffordshire Terrier, J, while we were out of town for the week. It was nice having the piece of mind that he was able to go out during the day while the neighbors looked after him in the morning and evening.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
