“Melanie is great! Friendly and, judging by the pictures I got every day, my dog sully loves playing and hanging out with her. Would definitely recommend to anyone!”

“We’re so glad we found Kasey, she was incredibly helpful with our new puppy Oakley. She was super easy to work with and very flexible when it came to our schedule. Oakley was always well taken care of during her visits. Her background in animal hospitals and expertise in care made her a clear choice for us, and I would recommend her to anyone looking for care. Thanks Kasey!”
About: I have always been a pet owner.I love animals and would love to take the worry and stress out of your life by taking care of yours while you’re away. I know first hand how stressful this can be. No worries with your fur baby being here alone while I’m at work, I currently work from home so I’m available for drop off or pick up anytime. Unfortunately, I can not do drop ins at your home until after 230. I have a 4 year old Shih tzu/bichon/poodle mix and a 2 year old cat. I live in a condo so we walk daily to get his (and my) exercise. I can have your pet here overnight, come to your house to walk or just check in. Im very flexible.
“Second time benefiting from Jen’s service - this time with two cats instead of just one. It gives me comfort to know when she’s popping in to visit them and once I get the update and pictures, I feel great knowing that they’re ok!”

“We met Alison for the first time today for a meet and greet. She was extremely friendly and charming. She listened to all of our needs and best of all, our boy Sherman absolutely loved her. We will be booking with her very soon.”

“It was a last minute request to Jacob because m y usual sitter had last minute plans. I was a little nervous that my dog would be shy, but was not prepared for him to not want to walk or interact at all. Jacob did get him out real quick to go to the bathroom, but he wanted to go right back in. The later visit in the day did not go any better. Jacob did the best he could, but could get Theo to warm up to him.”

About: Hello everyone! I have previously worked for a vet hospital for 2 years and have been doing Rover since 2019. While your pet is in my care I always watch their body language, eating habits, and anything out of the ordinary I will let you know. I am comfortable doing any medication and give supplements that are provided if any. Your pet will have a fun time and we will play with their favorite toys. I will always want to make your pet feel comfortable around me and will try to stay in routine while your away. I am so excited to see new dog friends and looking forward to meet the parents! I cannot wait to build new relationships with everyone. Thank you for taking a look at my profile. See you soon! I am currently working full time and would be taken care of before and after work depending on their feeding schedule. I have a dog door installed so there’s always the option for going outside at any point in time. When I’m not at work we play and snuggle especially at bed time. I have a fenced in yard with a super friendly golden retriever. The house has someone home especially on the weekends. My family and I love all animals so it’s a real treat when there’s a new dog.

“Carlie did a great job with both my big and little dogs! She came over for a meet and greet - and they instantly took to her. She was on time, followed directions, and was very friendly! Highly recommend!”

“We requested Jacqueline's services last minute and she was available 😄. Lucky us! As always she took wonderful care of our pups and cleaned up after our older 🐕. Highly recommend 👌”

“Kelly was amazing! I would highly recommend her to anyone needing a dog sitter in the area. She was professional, reliable and really sweet with our older dog Scooter. We had complete peace of mind during our vacation knowing that Scooter was in good hands. We're already planning on using her during our next trip!”

About: Growing up I have always lived helping others and even helping animals. As a young kid, I grew up surrounded by all kinds of animals. Although my college plan is to become a special education teacher, I have always had a passion for animals. I really enjoy giving animals a voice and creating special bonds with them. Over the years my family has rescued over 8 animals including dogs and cats. I have been dog sitting for 3 years now for family friends and I am willing to do it for anyone in need. Animals have always left an impact on my life and I hope I do the same to them. I am not doing this for the money but to help many animals in need, as well as their owners. I really hope I am able to give endless love to you pet or pets. Thank you.
“Steve provides my cats with loving care while I am away. I have one cat who is difficult and can be unfriendly and he has won her over! He sends pictures of her sitting on his lap! He is always prompt and thoroughly cleans the litter box. I love the photo updates he sends while visiting with the cats - I can tell that they are well-cared for. He truly loves animals - it is very obvious from the care and attention they receive.”

About: I’ve cared for both dogs and cats my entire life, and I currently have three cats and a puppy of my own. I’ve also had senior pets and pets with medical needs, so I’m completely comfortable giving medication and paying attention to signs of stress or discomfort. As a former elementary school teacher, I bring a calm, patient, and dependable approach to every visit. I always make sure pets feel safe, understood, and cared for—whether that means playtime, gentle company, or simply sticking to their normal routine. My goal is to make each visit stress-free for both you and your pet. I work from home part-time, so my schedule is very flexible throughout the week. I’m available for dog walking, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, and cat care, and I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine. While I don’t currently offer overnights or boarding, I’m able to stop by multiple times a day as needed. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping things familiar and stress-free. I stick to your normal feeding, walking, and play routines, give plenty of attention, and make sure water and litter boxes are fresh. I’m patient with shy pets and happy to give extra cuddles to the social ones. I treat your home and your pets with the same care I give my own.
About: I started pet sitting when I was young because I loved animals but we were not allowed a pet. Then over the course of my childhood into adulthood I have shared in the responsibilities for two dogs and taken exclusive care of my three rabbits! My beloved family dog, Harley, lives an hour away and I just can’t seem to get enough cuddles! That’s where rover comes in. I work from home, so I’m able to offer some attention and companionship to your pets and make sure they have an opportunity to go out while you’re busy/away. Additionally, I’m an active person who enjoys taking daily walks on the trail. So I would love to help make sure your dogs get the fresh air they need in the process through my second service! I am lucky enough to work from home, so I am able to offer flexibility. Meaning that I can offer drop ins and walks during work hours. I understand from personal experience the desire to have your pet cared for in the way that you yourself would care for them. I am happy to adhere to each pet owner’s individual preferences and give your pet the very best care possible.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Frankford. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
