“Neena was great! Top notch communication and was able to build a relationship with my shy scaredy cat to give her her insulin shots! Will absolutely be booking again in the future.”

“I highly recommend Iuliana as a cat sitter. She is dependable, trustworthy, and truly cares about the pets she looks after. Knowing my cats were in her care gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. Iuliana is always prompt, communicates regularly, and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is taken care of. She is kind, compassionate, and has a natural way with animals that immediately puts both pets and owners at ease. My cats were happy, relaxed, and well cared for when I returned home, which speaks volumes about the attention and affection she gave them.”

“This was our second time booking with Jennifer, and once again she was wonderful. We have two cats, including one with diabetes who requires blood glucose monitoring and insulin injections, so finding someone we completely trust is incredibly important. She handled their care with confidence, kept us updated with messages and photos, and gave us great peace of mind while we were away. We came home to two happy, well-cared-for cats and wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommended!”

“This was our second time using Kasey, and once again she was absolutely wonderful! 💕 She’s reliable, communicative, and clearly cares about our pets as if they’re her own 🐱 We had complete peace of mind knowing they were well cared for while we were away ✨ It’s such a relief to have someone we trust 100% - we won’t hesitate to book her again. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“Jenna was very responsive. She respected my home but more importantly she took care of my 2 kitties for about 10 days. She made sure all their needs were cared for (fresh water, food and clean litter). I felt good about leaving them with Jenna.”

“I have been going through a very stressful time in my life and needed to travel over 500 miles round trip this past weekend. I don’t live in Delaware but have been due to circumstances from where I’m from. I needed a place to keep my cat for the weekend as I couldn’t leave him at the house since the land lord said he might stop by the weekend. Cory stepped in and took a lot of stress off the situation. He was very quick to reply to all of my messages. He took my cat in no issues and was very accommodating. I could tell he was a kind hearted person who loved cats and he even had three of his own! My cat is very shy and he was able to set up a room just for my cat to feel comfortable. My cat warmed up to Cory very quickly and took a liking to him. He made this situation so easy for me and I felt comfortable leaving my loved ones in his care. I highly recommend Cory as a pet sitter! Will deff use him again if need be. Thanks Cory!”

“Jacob did an outstanding job caring for our rabbit, Bunny, while we were away. He was incredibly communicative, responded quickly to every message, and always arrived on time, staying for the full visit. He had no trouble giving Bunny her medication, sent thoughtful updates and great photos after each visit, and made us feel completely at ease. We also came home to everything spotless and exactly as we had left it, which we really appreciated. We wouldn't hesitate to book Jacob again and will absolutely be asking him to watch Bunny the next time we travel!”

“Sydney is fantastic! She house-sat for us for five nights, caring for our elderly cat, Frankie, while we were out of the country. Frankie has medical issues that require frequent medication every 6–8 hours, and Sydney handled it all with ease. She had no trouble administering his pills and liquid meds and kept us updated with photos and messages at least three times a day. Knowing Frankie was in such capable hands made our trip much more relaxing. We will definitely ask for Sydney’s help again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter.”

“Carlie was amazing with our Binx! Our feeder went offline and she went into action! She posted photos and followed up with us to make sure we knew we didn’t have to worry. Can’t recommend Carlie enough!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
