“I have known Christy for years and her kind, tender heart for all animals is genuine and inspiring. We share a love for “weiner dogs” and their unique character traits. My Pete is 16 years old and Christy loves on him as if he were her own. In fact, a couple of years ago, I had the front windows of my house replaced. I had Pete secured but the window installer inadvertently let Pete out. I was frantic! On her own time and gas, Christy came and drove the neighborhoods helping me look for my Pete. Only a true pet lover would go over and above like that! ❤️”

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats most of my life. I love taking long walks with fury friends and being in nature. I can’t wait to play and cuddle with your fur baby! I am a work from home mom looking to stay busy during my kids school hours. I would love to give your dog an active day! I can safely take your pet out for a walk or run, and make sure they enjoy themselves too while getting potty breaks. If water is needed I can pack that for the walk as well! When your dog boards with me they become part of our family! They cuddle with us, if they like to sleep in our bed they sleep with us. They get all the attention they need and want.

About: I understand it’s a lot to read, however I want to give you all the information I can possibly provide to make you comfortable with trusting your pets in my care <3 My husband will be helping me care for your animals! I will make sure you meet him whenever possible :) he has always helped me with my bookings. IMPORTANT: Please answer the questions in the "What Jane Would Like To Know About Your Pet" section when initially messaging if you can! It saves us both time and lets me know everything I need to know about your pet so I can promptly book you! Also pay attention to the Safety section! I have a specific way on how I introduce your dogs. -- ABOUT ME I’ve always had a dog my whole life. Since I was a little girl I can remember having a furry friend at my side at all times. It’s to the point where my life feels off if there isn’t a cat or dog beside me! Some things I’ve done that may help you understand my experience is, hand rear a cleft palate puppy (tube feeding and stimulation to help them use the bathroom), assist a dog during birth, care for a pregnant dog, know how to handle a dog during seizures (one of the dogs I used to live with is epileptic), de-escalate a hostile situation or protect/prevent your pet from being involved in one, house trained dogs, care for special needs dogs. If your dog is incontinent or messy in other ways don’t worry at all!! I’m very patient and have plenty of experience with that. From mastiffs to chihuahuas I’ve dealt with all of them. I have no issue walking your dog even if they have no leash etiquette, I’m strong enough to handle even the most stubborn of leash pullers and I’d be more than happy to help them learn. If you have a high energy or working breed dog I wouldn’t mind going for a jog with them. Or if your dog likes to just play fetch I would be more than happy to play with them till they’re content. Whatever it is that your dog needs I assure you I can help no matter the age or disability I know it takes time to build trust with not only your beloved pet but you and I can promise you that you’ll find me as a reliable and experienced option. I guarantee that your dog (or cat) will be happy to see me with time and you’ll be relieved to know they’re in good hands. I’m excited to get to know you and your pets :) If you have any further questions about my experience or are unsure if I could handle your baby please ask! -- ABOUT MY PETS At the moment I only have two dogs and one cat. My first and oldest dog is Sadie. I don't really know what breed she is, I found her on the streets in 2021. She is the best and one of the most well-behaved dog I have ever had. She is elderly and seems to be getting a little grumpy as she ages. When you first meet her she will either be sleeping or she will bark at you until she is used to you. Her favorite hobbies are eating, sleeping on the couch, sleeping with you, or sleeping in the car during a ride. She also loves to walk however since she has bad knees and hips she can't go very far (she will but she shouldn't). My second and youngest dog is Juno, she is a German Shepherd and a year old. She is incredibly sweet, and the vets call her a "leaning shepherd" since she loveeees to be hugged and kissed. I would like to warn you that Juno is over-socialized. This doesn't mean she is aggressive or anything like that. It's quite the opposite. She gets frustrated when a dog is in close proximity, and she cannot play with them immediately. She will bark loudly, and it may sound aggressive to a lot of people especially because of her breed. I understand this isn't a fun sight. She has never bitten or showed any sign of aggression to anyone or any dog before. I am working on this behavior with her and in the process of finding a good one on one trainer. This being said I have a specific way on how I introduce them to prevent her being over excited or overwhelming you or your pup, which I will explain below in the safety section. Lastly is my cat, she is only a couple months old. Her name is Whiskers she is a tuxedo and is crazy. She minds her own business around other dogs that she doesn't know and prefers to give them space while she does her own thing. She is attached to Juno's hip and can't stand when she can't see her. -- PRICING I understand that sometimes that the price could be high especially for extended stays. I believe everyone deserves to do what they want and not worry about if their beloved pets will be in a safe space. If the price is too high, please mention it and we can discuss and negotiate something a little more affordable. Do not be embarrassed! I've been there before. Please keep in mind that this is a main way I make a living so I cannot sell myself short. But I will accommodate you as much as possible. CHECK OUT MY FACEBOOK PAGE @Jane Marie’s Dog Boarding •• I post a lot of cute videos and it gives you a chance to see how precious clients enjoyed their stay as well as an idea of the environment they would be in prior to booking! -- SCHEDULE My job is only 8 minutes away from my house and I work typically Monday-Friday from the 3:30-9PM depending on customers). It is much slower during the holidays due to slow season. I usually have a lot of days off so I will most likely be home to give your babies all my attention and care. My husband is an Air Traffic Controller for the Army, so he has a decent lunch period in which he always comes home and takes care of the animals. If the weather is poor, he gets to stay home for the day. He is also a big dog person and will help watch over and care for your fur babies. My dogs schedule is pretty easy. They start their day in the morning and immediately go outside to go potty. They come inside and eat breakfast (cat too) then lounge for a bit until one of them asks to go outside. At some point in the day, I take Juno outside to play and then train/walk her for about 30 minutes. I will NEVER EVER leave my dogs out with your dogs unsupervised; my dogs are kennel trained and will be put in their kennel whenever we leave. My cat also has her own room that I put her in when we are gone. Don’t worry though! When I’m at work my husband will stop by and help take care of the dogs during his two-hour lunch. So that being said the dogs generally are not left alone for more than 2 hours. During feeding I separate my dogs from yours just so the dogs don't feel pressure. My dogs are not food aggressive/territorial at all, but I do that as a precaution. I keep my house very clean and have already doggy proofed my house. My backyard is large, full fenced. I will NEVER put your dogs in the kennel, only mine. My house is animal proof, all foods, chemicals, and wires are put away for the safety of both our animals. The only time they will be put up is when I am babysitting for multiple clients. If this is the case they will be briefly put in their kennels for dinner time and take turns eating outside until everyone is done to be safe. The only other times would be when we both are at work and sleeping during bedtime. I much prefer to do meet and greets but if that is for some reason not possible, I can introduce them on my own with my husband. -- HOW I INTRODUCE THEM First off, if you have more than one dog, I would like to introduce them one at a time. I will do the same with mine. I do NOT like to introduce them face to face on a leash. It is dangerous for both our dogs. There are two methods, the easiest is let them sniff each other through a chain link fence for a while then after about 10-15 minutes if they seem relaxed/calm we can let them interact. The second method is to have one dog walk in front of mine at a distance and slowly over time close the gap till they can walk side by side without reacting. This should take about 20 minutes to properly do. I just like to be safe and careful. I'd rather prevent any situation that could put both our babies at risk. Secondly if your dog is okay with cats, I will have them meet Whiskers. I could put the cat in the kennel and let them sniff each other or let your dog sniff my cat's butt or let them sniff each other through under a door. DO NOT put your dog's face in my cats! Please! Even if they are sweet to cats. I have had people do this even when my cat is hissing, and I have had to pick her up because it scares her. Please do not do this I don't want my cat to feel like she has to defend herself and if she does, make your dog feel like they have to defend themselves from her. Whiskers will give your dog all the space it could need and slowly warms up to them in her own time.

17. Chanté R.
About: Throughout my years, I have had the pleasure of caring for a variety of animals, including both cats and dogs. My experience with cats has been particularly enjoyable, as I have found them to be independent yet affectionate creatures. From providing them with daily meals and ensuring they have clean litter boxes, to engaging them in playtime and giving them plenty of cuddles, I have learned the importance of establishing a routine and building a strong bond with feline friends. I have also gained valuable experience in administering medication and dealing with any potential behavioral issues that may arise. Additionally, my experience with dogs has taught me the importance of physical exercise and mental stimulation for their overall well-being. I have enjoyed taking them for walks, playing fetch, and providing them with the love and attention they crave. Overall, my pet care experiences have taught me the significance of patience, compassion, and responsibility when it comes to providing the best care for our beloved furry companions. I am a stay-at-home mom who currently has open availability and on-base access. Pet-sitting is a way for me to bring in some extra income and keep me busy. I have two loving cats at home who love to cuddle and play! I have a backyard and I am located within 5 minutes of a dog park.
