About: I have been helping care for pets since I was a young child. I grew up with pets and pet responsibilities. The love that I have for my pets crosses over to the love that I will bring for your pet. Pet sitting is currently my primary focus. This allows me to have greater flexibility in my schedule and more time to take care of your pets. Great care and concern for your pet is emphasized as well as open communication with you while your pet is in my care. Your concerns are my concerns when it comes to the safety and care of your pets.

“Angelica goes above & beyond as a cat sitter! I love the pictures she includes in my pet’s report card. It makes me feel like my babies are getting the love & attention the deserve. We’ll continue to book her for our cats!!”

“My two dogs loved getting belly rubs from Jim! Even my cat had to get in on the action. I just needed a drop in but it’s good to know there’s someone I can contact again when I’ll be out for a good part of the day.”

“Great experience. Our dogs are not the easiest to handle and max did an amazing job. This was one of the longest trips we have been on away from our pups, and they were in great hands. Would book again!”

“Great job by Kamryn, was able to help take care of our cats and even brought in packages from our doorstep while we were out. Very helpful and nice, will be rebooking with her in the future and would recommend her to anyone who needs pet sitting/ drop in visits.”

About: I have years of experience caring for pets of all ages, from energetic puppies and kittens to senior animals who need a little extra love and patience. I’m comfortable with dogs and cats of any breed or temperament, and my experience extends to exotic pets like geckos too — so no animal is outside my comfort zone. Beyond the basics of feeding and playtime, I’m fully capable of transporting pets to vet or grooming appointments and have experience administering medications, whether oral, topical, or otherwise. Pet owners can trust that their animals are in safe, capable hands with me — no matter what their needs are. I'm currently working with a family as an on call pet/house sitter. I work anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks, taking care of 2 cats and 2 dogs. I'm available for quick visits or long stays :) I treat every dog's daily routine as a priority, whether in my home or theirs. With the babies I'm currently watching, mornings start with a trip outside to a fenced yard for potty time while I get breakfast and medication ready. From there, we head out for the first of 2-3 walks throughout the day, which often include some playtime like a game of catch. Dinner is served around 6pm, and at night I make sure everyone settles into their crate, giving them lots of goodnight kisses before heading to bed myself. I'm comfortable administering medications and can accommodate a dog's existing schedule to keep things consistent and low-stress for them.

“Frances did a fantastic job of caring for our cats while we were on vacation. With 3 Rescues inside and 2 TNR's outside, it's not easy to find someone to take that on. Everything went great and she kept us informed with texts & pics after each visit. She made our vacation so much more enjoyable.”

About: I’m comfortable caring for pets of all ages and energy levels, from playful puppies who need patience and structure to senior pets who require a gentler routine and extra attention. I understand how important it is to keep pets comfortable in their normal environment, and I always make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for while their owners are away. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine. I work a serving job at night, which leaves my mornings, afternoons, and much of the evening available for walks, drop-ins, playtime, feedings, and quality time with pets. I’m attentive to behavior changes, medication schedules if needed, and making sure pets get enough activity and companionship throughout the day.
“Marie was so good with Claire. Both seemed immediately very comfortable with each other. It gave me a real sense of ease to leave my very senior dog in Marie's care. I came home to a calm, relaxed dog after a couple of visits from Marie and me being gone most of the day. I will definitely reach out to Marie again to look after Claire when I need to be away from home.”

About: Hi pet parents! I'm a dependable, compassionate animal lover who treats every pet like family. Although I'm new to Rover, I've spent years caring for animals. I fostered 2 cats (one of them became my foster fail baby!) and I rescued my dog. Caring for pets with different personalities—including my dog's anxiety and fear-based behaviors—has taught me patience, consistency, and the importance of positive reinforcement. I've also worked with a professional behavior trainer, giving me experience understanding dogs of all kinds. I'm certified in pet CPR and first aid, so your pet's safety is always a top priority. Whether your dog needs an energetic walk, a leisurely stroll, playtime, or companionship while you're away, I'll follow their routine and provide plenty of love and attention. I'll also send regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands. I know trusting someone with your furry family member is a big decision, and I'm committed to caring for them as if they were my own. I can't wait to meet you and your best friend! I have a pretty open schedule weekday mornings up to about 12pm and mostly open availability on weekends. I can be available in the evening as well with some notice. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are my highest priorities. I offer dog walks and dog / cat drop- in visits in your home. I follow whatever their normal routines are from exercise needs, meals, litter scoops, medication administration and any special instructions you provide. I understand that trusting someone with your furry family member is a big decision, and I treat every pet with the same care, patience, and attention I would give my own. My goal is to create a safe, loving, and stress-free experience for both you and your pet. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, or a senior needing extra care, I'll tailor my approach to meet their individual needs.
About: Back on Rover after a two-year hiatus and excited to meet some new furry friends! I've been surrounded by dogs and cats my entire life, and as a dog mom myself, I know pets are family. My goal is simple: to make your pet feel safe, loved, and comfortable while giving you complete peace of mind. I work from home, so I have the flexibility to provide personalized care, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. Every pet is different, so I take the time to learn their routine, personality, and all the little details that make them unique - from their favorite toy, walking route, and feeding schedule to treat preferences, commands, medications, and any fears or anxieties. The more I know, the better I can make their time with me feel like another normal day. I'm dependable, detail-oriented, and will care for your pet as if they were my own. Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Fort Monmouth
Angelica was absolutely wonderful with our two cats! We were gone for a week and she took such great care of them. She sent us regular updates with photos, videos and notes so we never had to wonder how they were doing. Both cats are a bit shy with new people, but Angelica was patient and gentle, and by the end of the week they were clearly comfortable with her. She spent time playing with them so that they felt less lonely while we were gone. We came home to a clean house with two happy, very well taken care of cats. Highly recommend Angelica — we already plan to book her again for our next trip!

Jon was fantastic with my two cats, spending even more time with them than agreed upon. Over several visits on a long weekend, he gave them excellent care and lots of play. The sociable one fell for him immediately, and even my nervous girl warmed up over a short time. He’s got great energy and a clear love of animals. Book him today!

Alley is absolutely amazing…I have a house full of animals that she cares for when we’re away, including ones with special needs that require daily medication and extra care. I know they are in good hands with her. She really cares and goes above and beyond. I have had other care takers, but she is the best and always my first choice!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fort Monmouth. On Rover:
- 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
