What You Can Expect I’m comfortable following detailed feeding and care instructions, maintaining your pet’s normal routine, walking dogs, cleaning litter boxes, providing playtime and companionship, and giving each pet the individual attention they need. I especially enjoy working with animals who may be shy, particular, anxious, or simply need time to decide that a new person is trustworthy. I don’t expect every pet to immediately love me—I’m happy to earn their trust at their pace. Safety & Communication Your pet’s safety comes first. I follow owner instructions carefully, keep a close eye on the animals in my care, and communicate promptly if I notice anything concerning. You’ll also receive updates so you know how your pets are doing while you’re away. I know how difficult it can be to leave your pets in someone else’s hands. My goal is for you to come home to happy animals who have been well cared for and whose normal routine has been disrupted as little as possible. Whether you have one spoiled house cat, an energetic dog, a senior who likes to take things slowly, or a whole household of four-legged family members, I’d be happy to care for them. Although I work as a substitute teacher, there are many days I am home part or all of the day. While I have a generic routine, I like to know the pets usual routine so I can cater to that as much as is possible. I have a small fenced yard, but most importantly, my apartment is set up with pet safety in mind. I have gates and latches to prevent accidental runners, my cat has her own space to keep away from other animals, I have the space and ability to separate dogs if needed. Ultimately I treat them like my own. They are welcome in my bed, have free run of the common areas, have lots of toys... I am always up for snuggles and fun!

About: I have had pets all my life. When I moved out I adopted a dog with reactivity and separation anxiety. I know first hand how scary it can be to leave your pet with someone not knowing if they can provide special care for your baby. Thankfully I am able to provide excellent care for all your pets needs (yes this can even include medication administration!). Other experience I have is volunteer work at the Lexington Humane Society, Fostering kittens with Lexington Humane Society, and having my own pets! I currently am in the process of becoming a dog trainer and I also am attending college for social work but my classes are online so I have a lot of free time! I offer things that other people can’t. About: Hi I’m Raquel ! I’ve been in a home of pet lovers and care takers my whole life! My mom is a dog groomer and I’ve handled and cuddled all dogs and cats of all sizes & have watched & learned to care for every ones extended families (fur babies)! With a small old dog of my own I’ve been able to experience a full spectrum of dog parenting and would love to take care of your pets so you can rest and relax knowing they’re in good hands :) I teach yoga a few hours a week and enjoy getting steps in and hanging with dog friends in the between, this let’s me continue my yoga gig and do something else I love too! I try to stay as close as I can to the routine of the animal and what’s “normal” for them and comforting them while owners are away.
