As a bonus, Bear as a tentative cat felt comfortable enough to hang out with Kasey starting the first day. We never had to worry about anything during our trip because Kasey had it handled. “Peace of mind! Jordan stayed with our two senior dogs for 5 days. Her kindness, care and communication are the only reasons we could have left them. Both dogs have medical issues, and Jordan was very attentive and tuned in to what they need. She kept in touch about how they were doing and shared photos of them enjoying their time with her. One of our dogs hasn't been eating well, and she sent details about what and how much he ate each day. The other one is going through some medical tests, so if she noticed anything off, she reached out right away. She administered medication and goodnight cuddles (we got videos!). We hope she will care for our dogs next time we need a sitter!”

“Amanda was absolutely amazing, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. We hired her to stay in our home for three nights to care for our 14 year old senior dog and our 15 year old cat. My wife and I were a little apprehensive at first about having someone we did not know stay overnight in our home, especially with our senior dog, who needs frequent trips outside and is prone to accidents in the house. Amanda completely exceeded our expectations. She went above and beyond in every way, giving both of our pets the attention they needed and carefully following all of our care instructions. She told us she would treat our pets as if they were her own, and she truly did. Our senior dog needs frequent trips outside, some help walking, and is prone to accidents in the house. Amanda handled all of it with incredible patience, care, and professionalism. She made sure he had plenty of potty breaks by taking him out often, waking up early, and staying up late to care for him. When he had accidents, she took care of everything without hesitation, including thoroughly cleaning him up, washing his blankets and bedding, and making sure he was comfortable afterward. That level of care and compassion really meant a lot to us. She also kept our home incredibly clean. In fact, she even vacuumed the living room before we got home and left the house cleaner than we left it. On top of that, she sent us daily updates and texts about both our dog and cat, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Amanda is a true professional, caring, responsible, attentive, and dependable. She was a huge stress relief for us, and we felt so much better knowing our pets were in such capable hands. We will absolutely be using her again on a regular basis for as long as she is available.”

About: I have decades of experience around cats and dogs - in the home and with extended family pets, and then started pet care for others as a teen. Through my teens and 20s I consistently dog sat, did scheduled walks out of others’ homes, or cat play/feed visits. I’ve loved each and every pet: from Great Dane siblings to cats that rule the house and play it cool. I grew up with cats and have long term cared for a Vizsla dog beloved to me, as my own. I have experience with animals that do not get along with other animals, or take a while to get used to humans (I’ve always had an affinity for these guys and allowed them the space and time to grow comfortable with me). I live in Portland, OR but am from the Hudson Valley and back in the area to be closer to my father who is on hospice with a terminal illness. I am reactivating my Rover profile because I am working from my laptop some hours a week here and there (I choose the hours) and spending some time with my father each week. All of my days are flexible and I’d be open to arrangements based on need. An animal to hang with and care for would be really lovely at this time. My days are all flexible. I make my own hours at work and am only working 8-16 hours a week due to being on intermittent FMLA. Several days a week I would be out of the house for portions during the day to spend time with my father in Fishkill, NY. Based on directive and to minimally disrupt their routines and comforts. I adapt easily and I find I have a good energy for animals to adapt to being around me—not forcing anything and just letting them lead the way in terms of their comfort level.

“I was so pleasantly surprised when I booked Claire sort of last minute. It’s my first time using anyone but friends to watch my precious pup Coco. We were greeted by Claire and her amazing family of 3 dogs, 1 cat and wonderful parents. The pets are all adorable and well behaved. Beautiful home and fenced in yard. Claire communicated through the time away and sent lots of reassurance, pics and videos. She was so flexible with drop off and pickup time too. I highly recommend and won’t think twice about using in the future!!”

About: Hi, I’m Izzy! I’ve been lucky enough to spend over 17 years caring for all sorts of furry and scaly friends, from dogs and cats to reptiles! Growing up, my home was filled two happy pups, and I’ve proudly been the go-to pet sitter for my friends, family, and neighbors ever since. I currently live with a sweet 14-year-old chihuahua who keeps me company at home. While he previously lived happily with other dogs and attended doggy daycare, he’s become more anxious around unfamiliar pets as he’s gotten older. For his comfort, I’m unable to offer boarding in my home at this time, but I’m happy to care for your pets in the comfort of their own home through house-sitting, drop-in visits and walks. For house-sitting, I can easily bring my workspace with me, so your pets can have company, attention, potty breaks, and walks throughout the workday rather than being left alone for long stretches. I occasionally have in-person meetings, typically no more than 1–2 times per week. When I do, I’m usually away for about 2–2.5 hours and am very rarely gone for more than 3 hours at a time. If my schedule ever requires a longer stretch away from home, I’ll know in advance and will always communicate that before booking to make sure it works for your pet’s needs and routine. I’m available for weekday and weekend care, including house-sitting, walks, and drop-in visits. While I previously offered boarding, I’m unfortunately unable to host pets in my own home at this time. I currently live with a senior chihuahua has become more anxious around unfamiliar animals as he’s gotten older, so I prioritize his comfort by keeping my current home pet-guest-free. Fortunately, my flexible work-from-home schedule means I’m more than happy to come to your pets instead! When caring for pets in their own home, I follow their usual routines, boundaries, and any instructions around feeding, walks, medications, crating, and household rules to help them feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I love keeping pets active and engaged through neighborhood walks, hikes, backyard play, or indoor enrichment. I’m a big believer that there’s no bad weather, just the wrong clothes for the weather, so I’m happy to get outside in all seasons! I’m attentive to leash safety, surroundings, other animals, and each pet’s comfort level, with experience caring for reactive dogs and seniors who may need extra space, a slower pace, or other accommodations. About: Hi- I have been a dog sitter from a young age for a family with 5 golden retrievers. Unfortunately, they have since passed on as time passes by. As an adult now in a new area I decided to check out this type of opportunity online. I am a complete animal lover and would treat your pet as my own. Showing it affection, attention, & provide with the care it needs while you are unavailable. I also have a mellow adult lab myself that I would be happy to bring for playdates as requested.
