About: I have been an active volunteer with the Elmore SPCA in Peru Ny for 4 years. I often walk, socialize, enrich, and foster the dogs in the shelters care. I have worked with puppy's as young as 3 months up to the elder dogs to provide comfort. I am currently home for summer between my graduate years of college, my work schedule varies week to week. I have lived in this area for my entire life and am comfortable with traveling for the care. Unfortunately during this time I am unable to have pets in my home. To ensure the safety for me and your pets I have completed all state required ASPCA programs to work professionally with animals. The topics for dogs and cats included; body language, diseases, safety and management, and cleaning regulations. I have regularly walked and fostered dogs from Elmore SPCA in upstate NY. Through them I have gained lots of experience handling different breeds, temperaments, sizes and ages of dogs.

About: Hi- I have been a dog sitter from a young age for a family with 5 golden retrievers. Unfortunately, they have since passed on as time passes by. As an adult now in a new area I decided to check out this type of opportunity online. I am a complete animal lover and would treat your pet as my own. Showing it affection, attention, & provide with the care it needs while you are unavailable. I also have a mellow adult lab myself that I would be happy to bring for playdates as requested. Rates and availability are TBD as mentioned I am new to the site and do work full time during week. After getting laid off of my job after 13 years I have decided for now I'd rather be around animals & am happy to do so with open availability. “Amanda was absolutely amazing, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. We hired her to stay in our home for three nights to care for our 14 year old senior dog and our 15 year old cat. My wife and I were a little apprehensive at first about having someone we did not know stay overnight in our home, especially with our senior dog, who needs frequent trips outside and is prone to accidents in the house. Amanda completely exceeded our expectations. She went above and beyond in every way, giving both of our pets the attention they needed and carefully following all of our care instructions. She told us she would treat our pets as if they were her own, and she truly did. Our senior dog needs frequent trips outside, some help walking, and is prone to accidents in the house. Amanda handled all of it with incredible patience, care, and professionalism. She made sure he had plenty of potty breaks by taking him out often, waking up early, and staying up late to care for him. When he had accidents, she took care of everything without hesitation, including thoroughly cleaning him up, washing his blankets and bedding, and making sure he was comfortable afterward. That level of care and compassion really meant a lot to us. She also kept our home incredibly clean. In fact, she even vacuumed the living room before we got home and left the house cleaner than we left it. On top of that, she sent us daily updates and texts about both our dog and cat, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Amanda is a true professional, caring, responsible, attentive, and dependable. She was a huge stress relief for us, and we felt so much better knowing our pets were in such capable hands. We will absolutely be using her again on a regular basis for as long as she is available.”
