About: Hi there! My name is Kendra. I come with 12+ years of veterinary technician experience. I currently work as a CVT in a veterinary ICU. I am happy to provide care to pets who may need additional TLC, such as senior or special needs pets. Outside of work, I have two cats (Autumn & Creme Brulee) and two dogs. Violet is my mini doodle who I adopted after she was found to have a swallowing disorder, and Emmie Lou is my Australian Shepherd who loves to live her life on the wild side. We love going for walks, long hikes, and various training events like lure courses, agility and dock diving. Both of my girls have earned their CGC (Canine Good Citizens) among other ribbons and sport titles. Loving animals is my whole life and I can't wait to love your fur babies too! 💗 I am available to do drop-in visits (short walks, feeding, play time, medication administration, etc.), or longer walks/hikes for those that may need the extra exercise. I am also available for house sitting upon request. I schedule pet care on my days off from my full-time job. I can also provide house sitting upon request (availability will not routinely be posted for this so feel free to send me a message!). Unfortunately, due to renting I cannot provide pet care in my own home. About: I have decades of experience around cats and dogs - in the home and with extended family pets, and then started pet care for others as a teen. Through my teens and 20s I consistently dog sat, did scheduled walks out of others’ homes, or cat play/feed visits. I’ve loved each and every pet: from Great Dane siblings to cats that rule the house and play it cool. I grew up with cats and have long term cared for a Vizsla dog beloved to me, as my own. I have experience with animals that do not get along with other animals, or take a while to get used to humans (I’ve always had an affinity for these guys and allowed them the space and time to grow comfortable with me). I live in Portland, OR but am from the Hudson Valley and back in the area to be closer to my father who is on hospice with a terminal illness. I am reactivating my Rover profile because I am working from my laptop some hours a week here and there (I choose the hours) and spending some time with my father each week. All of my days are flexible and I’d be open to arrangements based on need. An animal to hang with and care for would be really lovely at this time. My days are all flexible. I make my own hours at work and am only working 8-16 hours a week due to being on intermittent FMLA. Several days a week I would be out of the house for portions during the day to spend time with my father in Fishkill, NY. Based on directive and to minimally disrupt their routines and comforts. I adapt easily and I find I have a good energy for animals to adapt to being around me—not forcing anything and just letting them lead the way in terms of their comfort level.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life, I have owned and cared for multiple breeds of dogs and cats, big and small, and been a pet sitter for friends and family on and off for the last 10 years. As a result of my experience as a pet parent and sitter I am very comfortable with most breeds. I also have limited experience training full grown dogs as well as puppies. I am available for walks, check-ins, or pet sitting every day. I am also available for boarding on a case by case basis. My work schedule allows me to be present for most of the day, so I can remain attentive and take plenty of walk and play breaks. During the times that I am gone I am able to crate them if that is your preference or they can have free access to the main part of the house and I will check in on them regularly through the doggie cams. I am able to dog sit in your home as well as in my own home, which has a large amount of indoor space that they can roam around in, as well as a partially fenced back yard that they can play in on a long leash with my supervision. I have plenty of time for walks and play breaks during the day. And during the few hours a day that I am out of the house, they can be crated, or they can roam around the main part of the house. I check in on them every half hour through the doggy cams set up in the house. I am comfortable walking, feeding, and if necessary, providing medication on the schedule and in the manner that you prefer.
