“It was such a great decision to have Gladys and Liani take care of our cats! They proved to be extremely responsive, reliable, and punctual. When there was a car accident along the way, Gladys even checked in to let us know they would be a few minutes late. What really made Gladys and Liani stand apart from other sitters was their enthusiasm. It didn't seem like taking care of pets is just a job -- it seems that they genuinely love animals. Separately, while others made the initial scheduling process overly complicated, it was really easy to arrange everything with Gladys. Gladys and Liani earned our highest recommendation!”

“Needed someone for a last-minute drop in for the next day and Margaret willingly accepted. She was timely and send photos while there. Will definitely contact her again.”

“Steve was great with Miss Hazel. He was timely and attentive to her. Followed our instructions well and gave us lots of updates. In fact when we came home, she expected him to be there. When she didn’t see him, she went looking for him all over the house! We were only gone 2 days and already she loved him! Thanks for the peace of mind while we were away from our girl!”

About: Hi my name is Cory! I love dogs and they seem to know it right away. I have been around dogs since I was 4 years old. I have owned 2 akitas and an English bulldog . My latest Akita Diablo passed away 5 years ago and I haven't gotten another dog since his passing so currently I have no dogs. I only have chinchillas and a hamster as of now. I have a lot of experience working with dogs and they seem to feel relaxed and comfortable when in my care, making this the perfect job for me. I know how to approach these animals in a way that is non-threatening to reduce their anxiety and to help them relax. I can help to maintain the routine they are used to, so they will not get anxious or feel so alone while their owners are away. I have extensive knowledge concerning the different breeds of dogs and I know how to take care of them properly. I understand that some breeds have special needs and that the age of the dog will play a major role in how to take care of them. You can depend on me to provide excellent service and to take great care of your dog/dogs. I know what questions to ask to make sure I understand their specific needs. I will be full time dedicated to your furry child, providing walks and play time as much as needed! Don't hesitate to contact me, I am very flexible with my time, and I will love and care for your dog as my own. I'm currently off from work during the summer and during the school year I only work part time at an elementary school down the road from me (2 1/2 hrs) , So I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I will do anything to make your pup feel comfortable and at home away from home during his stay with me. I love detailed instructions so please feel free to let me know everything about your pet! I have a fenced in yard and 2 children who are huge dog lovers who would love to keep your dog(s) busy and keep them company!
“Hallie was just an amazing caregiver for my cats while I was away! The photos she sent of the girls and details of each visit added to my peace of mind. She watered my plants, took in my mail and brought my trash to the curb, as well. I would recommend Hallie without hesitation and hopefully can utilize her expert services in the future.”

About: I just got out of the Army after 8 years and had my best friend with me the whole way, a German Shepard named Mac. Sadly he passed about a year ago and I would love to have a new companion but I'm going back to school in the fall and need to focus on that. However, in the mean time I have the whole summer free to care for other's dogs. I live in a house with a large, fenced in yard and all the free time in the world. I'd love to have a dog to play with a d go on walks with. I currently have no obligations until September so I can devote 100% of my time and energy to your pup. Their care will be my full-time job. I have a large, fenced in yard and no other pets or children. I live on a large street perfect for walks and near the rail trail too.
“Natalie is the best! She is kind, on-time, and sent photos throughout the entire process. I felt confident leaving my pets & home in Natalie's care. Will definitely book her for my next vacation, and you should too!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Stormville. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
