“Thank you for being there for us to take care of our little fur babies Athena and Robin! You are amazing and greatly appreciated. Giving you a little extra tip since you had to clean up after Athena today!”

“Sarah was amazing with our pup! He loves her so much and she made sure he had no accidents the whole visit. She was so great about keeping us updated on how he was doing and sending photos to keep us posted! We would totally recommend her to anyone looking for a sweet and knowledgeable pet sitter. ☺️”

About: I've had both dogs and cats and they've always been my best friends and cared for like family. I think this would be the perfect summer job for me. I'm avaiabke everyday during the summer 10am-6pm, then I will be available weekends only. I have many years of experience walking my own dogs and sometimes other peoples too. I'm just starting at Rover but at home my pets are the kings and queens of the house. We're super close and they completely trust me.
“Kati was awesome! It was our first time booking with Rover and she put our mind at ease right away with our first meet and greet. I would definifley book her again. Our dog absolutely loved her! She took great care of him. She was great at communicating and was very responsive. She did everything we asked and gave our dog lots of love while we were gone. So happy to find such a great pet sitter! :)”

“Wow, where to start?! Shelly came to our rescue when our normal sitter wasn't available. With incredibly short notice & my jam packed schedule, she arranged an unhurried meet & greet - where my fur babies took to her like stick to glue! She really cares about the family she assists - human & fur alike. She went above & beyond in her care & we felt totally comfortable with her in charge. She also uses common sense & actively solves issues, not waiting for long communication delays to address things she's capable of handling. We couldn't be more pleased and HIGHLY recommend Shelly for loving & safe care of your fur family. Oh, and be prepared for a TON of pictures, she's super good at sending them with her updates! Thank you Shelly, you are amazing!”

About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life, including starting dog sitting when I was 13 years old. I also have two dogs of my own, and I spend time taking care of them to the best of their needs! For additional fee, I’d love to draw a photo of your pet! I am currently working part-time and a full time student, and I would love to add your pet to my routine! I love taking walks outside and playing with all animals, so I would love to find the perfect enrichment for your pet! I have a safe, walkable neighborhood to take your fur baby on walks that will be enjoyable for your dog! I also have dog beds and toys for downtime.

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life and was fortunate to grow up learning from my father, an experienced police K-9 trainer and handler. That lifelong experience gave me a strong understanding of canine behavior and the confidence to care for dogs of all breeds, ages, and personalities. I have experience with crate training, potty training, leash training, introducing dogs to children and other animals, and managing food and toy resource guarding. My goal is to provide every dog with a safe, structured, and loving environment where they feel right at home. I offer in-home boarding for up to three (occasionally four) dogs at a time, allowing me to provide personalized care and plenty of one-on-one attention. Because I’m home throughout the day, puppies benefit from frequent potty breaks and routine reinforcement, while senior dogs receive the extra patience and care they deserve. I also offer drop-in visits for all types of pets and flexible pick-up and drop-off services for an additional $30 each way. For boarding stays longer than three days, I may request a four-hour daycare trial to help ensure we’re a great fit. Proof of current vaccinations is required for all boarding guests. Every day is designed to be calm, engaging, and tailored to your pet’s needs. We spend time playing, enjoying supervised outdoor time, and incorporating enrichment throughout the day while balancing exercise with plenty of rest. I do my best to maintain your dog’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, medications, and any special instructions, so they feel comfortable, secure, and right at home while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. We live on a fully fenced one-acre property where dogs have plenty of room to play, explore, and enjoy the outdoors. Because our yard is surrounded by trees and natural foliage, I require boarding dogs to be on a veterinarian-recommended tick preventative. Whether your pet is boarding or I’m visiting them in your home, I’ll care for them as if they were my own by following their routine, respecting their individual personality, and paying close attention to their body language and comfort level. I also believe it’s important to teach my children to respect animals and their boundaries. Together, we’ve created a calm, gentle home where pets are treated with patience, kindness, and lots of love.
“This was our first time using Rover, we found Tyra listed and couldn't be more pleased! She was so friendly and did everything we asked her to do. We have become the main food source for a little family of feral cats and she came over and put their food out everyday and then stopped by later in the day to retrieve the empty dishes. We highly recommend her services!!”
“Everything went great! It really gave me peace of mind to know Becky was checking on our cats, and getting updates on how they are doing. Came home to happy kitties. What a relief!”

“Working w Jessica was a breeze. The cats were well cared for. We came home to happy cats w/o any accidents (we have a disabled cat). She even made sure our plants were watered & happy. I’d recommend Jessica time & again!”

“Amazing!! Carissa visited our two dogs periodically while we were away for the weekend. It was an unconventional request, and she was very accommodating. Our very shy Jupiter warmed up to Carissa at the first meeting. Can't wait to hire her again!”

“Mia was great! She sent pictures every day, and helped us and our 2 cats and parakeet feel more comfortable during our time away over the holidays. She even re-potted a plant that one of the cats got into. Excellent! Would highly recommend her!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fenton. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
