“Dominic and his team at home took great care of Maddie. She came home worn out from all the playing with the other dogs. They have a great yard for outdoor playtime and plenty of beds all around (and a lap or two).”

“We could not have asked for more! Our boys were loved in from the minute they arrived at Ashley’s tik the time we left. Our kids got such a kick out of the little bandanas she made them. I really appreciated that special touch and all of the pictures and videos she sent throughout the day!”

“Isha and Great took great care of our little dog recently. She came back happy and tired, which means they gave her a lot of love and attention. They also provided updates daily with photos. Highly recommend!”

“We are so thankful Laurie was able to take in Lola when our original plans fell through. She sent us daily updates about how she was doing and took extra care when Lola was having a hard time adjusting. I can tell our girl enjoyed her own vacation while we were on ours and it relieved a lot of our initial anxiety about leaving her behind. Thank you Laurie!!”

“This was our 1st time using Bridget. She’s very communicative and her responses very timely. I love that she sent us so many pictures of our Charlie girl. Charlie came home happy & healthy. We will definitely use Bridget the next time we need a comfortable, safe home for her to stay. Thank you, Bridget for taking such good care of our furbaby.”

“I feel so gory to have found this rover family. They loved and cared for my anxious doggo so well and kept me updated with photos. I already have them scheduled for future vacations!”

“Nathen has always been super quick with communication, responding to booking requests usually within minutes and is always available to answer questions we may have. Even on short stays he still sends at least one picture a day. Highly recommend!”

“Eric and Kristy took great care of Koka. We appreciated the personal care she recieved. The photos and updates were great. She seemed comfortable. They even helped her through her first night when she was feeling some anxiety sleeping at a new house.”

“Samantha was amazing and watched my cat for a few hours before a flight while I was home for the holidays. It was a last minute request and she answered and coordinated with me quickly and efficiently. She’s friendly, professional and close to the airport. Would definitely recommend boarding with Samantha!”

“Lindsay And Christian were just great with Khaleesi! I was so nervous, leaving her because she’s never been boarded before, but once I met Lindsay and spoke with her, I felt confident that she was in good hands. It is so nice to know that I have somewhere that I can take her if we have to be out of town.”

“Stephanie and her family were amazing with Bumi while we were traveling. She clearly cared for him like he was her own, and we came home to a very happy dog! We also really appreciated that she bought him a new Lamby after his old one was damaged, that was such a thoughtful thing to do. We’d trust Stephanie with Bumi any time and would absolutely recommend her. Thanks Stephanie!”

“Rachel is excellent. Communication was quick, consistent, and very detailed. I loved her sweet updates and knowing my lil guy was in good hands. We had a canceled flight that resulted in an unexpected delay in our planned pick up. Rachel was extremely kind and able to accommodate us in our time of need. She is absolutely great!”

“This was the first time we used this app, and we were a little worried about leaving our small dog with someone we didn’t know. But the moment I saw Derrika’s smile in her photo, I knew she was the right person. Even before the drop-off, I was still a bit nervous, but as soon as Derika met us, all the stress disappeared. She welcomed us so warmly, with a huge smile and genuine happiness in her eyes. Taya went into the house with her without even looking back at us 😂 We’re extremely happy with the experience and highly recommend her ❤️”

“I could not be more pleased with Kathleen! She was very well prepared. She took such an amazing care of my baby Jojo, like he was her own. Kathleen is very caring and professional! I got lots of pictures of my dog looking happy and comfortable. I can tell Jojo really loved her and felt at home. I would highly recommend her to any dog owner!”

“Sharon & Glen have been great to work with! Their availability and willingness to care for my fur baby last minute is comforting and makes leaving her easier for our family. In a short period of time, they treat our girl like their own.”
“Our goldendoodle Nala enjoyed her stay with MacKenzie! From the regular photo updates MacKenzie sent us, we could tell Nala loved running around and playing with other dogs and was well taken care of! MacKenzie was very communicative and we would love to have her watch Nala again.”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was just 7 years old. My passion is caring for others. I know how to work with dogs with emotional and behavioral issues. I know how to handle dogs even big dogs that pull on the leash. I can help keep training consistent. I run a home daycare and help care for my mom and homeschool my autistic 16 yo son. So I have a lot of time, room and love to give your doggies. I do have a dog and 2 cats of my own that don't get along so I have to switch out their living room social time and will ensure your animals has some social time as well. I am able to care for 3 more dogs at a time. I have a large basement with an unfinished room that I put a baby gate up for the door and I have 2 kennels. If I have 3 dogs at once I will rotate the dogs out to make sure that one does not have to stay in a kennel too long. I will ensure your doggy always has food and water available and frequent bathroom breaks with plenty of love and social time. I have a semi big yard with a 20 foot tie down lead to ensure your dog has enough room to run around but won't get away. I also have a small plastic kiddie pool I fill up for the doggies to get in and enjoy!
“Alex and Jacquelynne were the best dog sitters ever! From the videos and pictures they would send to me, they always kept my mind at ease while being away from my pup. Thank you again!! 10/10 would recommend!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Excelsior Springs
We were in the area for a school reunion and boarded our 2 dogs. This was our 1st time to leave them anywhere other than our home! Sarah was very good to show us her home and large fenced yard by video before we traveled to Missouri from Texas. Once we arrived she gave us a tour and we spent time letting our dogs get adjusted to her home and pets. She sent us pictures of our dogs throughout their stay that really made us comfortable with leaving them. The experience went perfectly and we highly recommend Sarah if you need your pets boarded. Excellent service. Will definitely use her again when we visit family in the area the next time.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
