“Catherine was just awesome. We have a 10 lb jack Russell mix, Sammy, who is a very nervous, anxious little guy. When we went for our meet and greet, he just ran around and made himself at home. We have never left him with anyone other than family but I just felt extremely comfortable with Cathy and knew he would be good with her. She sent me some pics of him and kept me updated during his stay of 6 days. She keeps the large dogs separate from the smaller ones which was good for Sammy as he has not really been around other dogs much. She will definitely be my go to sitter from now on. If you choose to leave your pet with Cathy, you can relax and enjoy your trip because she will give him care, attention and all the love they need.”

“Absolutely ? % perfect. John, Rachel and the kids are warm and welcoming. They were perfect with our fur baby. I especially loved receiving daily pictures and updates. We will definitely use them again.”

“Bandit was so happy and calm when I picked him up. It was very clear he was comfortable and well taken care of! She took him on several walks and sent many pictures. He was a HAPPY BOY!!”

“Amanda did an excellent job! She sent updates twice a day with pictures and was very understanding with how dogs are in new environments. Nice big fenced in backyard and a very dog friendly environment.”

“Lona and Alan were fantastic! They were very thorough in getting to know the details about caring for Skipper, and communication was excellent. They gave my high-energy pup lots of playtime, walks, and attention. They also sent lots of photos throughout his stay - I could tell he was having a great time!”

“Sharon helped us when we needed a sitter last minute for our Escobar. She kept us updated with pictures and videos! Escobar was well loved and cared for while we were away!!”

“Angelica was great to work with. We had a pre-meeting at her home to introduce my dog to her pets. She made sure her pets were secure when we arrived for drop off and gave my dog time to settle in. She sent regular updates and pics. She even sent us home with a clean dog pen. Will definitely use Angelica again and recommend her highly!”

“Taylor is wonderful! She sends photo updates of the dogs while we’re away, and the dogs always come back happy and well taken care of! Will definitely use her again :)”

“Laura was absolutely amazing with our big boy over the Christmas holiday season. She kept him for 8 days and never failed to send us pics and updates. It was appreciated that we got to see our boy while gone. He came home as happy as the day we dropped him off. Could not be any more happy with the care that was afforded him. Highly recommend!!”

“This was our fist time boarding our dogs. They did great and loved Joseph. He made them feel comfortable right away. They came back happy and tired. Would definitely recommend Joseph.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Excelsior Springs
We were in the area for a school reunion and boarded our 2 dogs. This was our 1st time to leave them anywhere other than our home! Sarah was very good to show us her home and large fenced yard by video before we traveled to Missouri from Texas. Once we arrived she gave us a tour and we spent time letting our dogs get adjusted to her home and pets. She sent us pictures of our dogs throughout their stay that really made us comfortable with leaving them. The experience went perfectly and we highly recommend Sarah if you need your pets boarded. Excellent service. Will definitely use her again when we visit family in the area the next time.

Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
